So many subtle hints, some really hidden ones, some more obvious. The Guide we needed
Agreed. I can sometimes tell when he's hinting with his tone but I can't work out exactly _what_ he's hinting at...
Leaving just enough room to puzzle it out for myself.
its a guide to niota
@@Ratigan2 horrible just tell me the game lmao ill go play something else
@@thecoolestofthe834s2 lmao if you just want everything hand fed to you like a baby, then noita isn't the game for you
@@thecoolestofthe834s2 its a BEGINNERS guide, if he were to tell you EVERYTHING it wouldnt be a BEGINNERS guide anymore
Fun fact, if you polymorph yourself into a humanoid mob, as in - anything that can hold a wand, you can smuggle a fifth wand through holy mountain teleporter
Yes you can!
I wanted to add a little tip from myself: If a spell uses 1 mana (like the chainsaw) and it fires on a 1-frame basis (not hard to acquire with chainsaw) it sustains itself without running out of mana with 60 charge speed.
A lumi drill is 600 mana if we apply the same math.
Therefore, add mana (which adds 30 mana to the cast) is the equivalent of 1800 charge speed. Goes to show just how powerful of a spell a well used add mana is.
Fury, that clip of the Concentrated Mana melting the cart and having an alchemic reaction with the water while you mention that some liquids have multiple properties is chef's kiss perfect!
Could we get a part 2? Perhaps an Intermediate Player's Guide? It could explain what the orbs do, some key points of interest, some of the simpler mini bosses and how to deal with them, tricks for the main boss, etc.
I feel like I understand a majority of what's in this guide, but I just don't know where to go from there because I still struggle, and I feel like I'm still missing out on a lot of the content that could be making the game easier for me, which I don't have the time to learn on my own.
You could also make an expert's guide that talks about major side bosses, parallel words, hell and sky layers, additional points of interest, etc.
Just explore the map.
Try to see every part that the map has to offer. Go to the left, to the right, explore the pyramid, go as high up as you can, go as low as you can.
After that you can try to find out secrets.
After exploring the map you should find a couple new books, tablets and items (like the key, music note, broken wands etc.) and try to find out what the books/tablets are trying to say or what to do with those items.
As a start you might want to try to kick the finger statues in the snowy depths.
I second this
@@memogaming5383 as a newbie player who’s gotten to the 4th biome once and only knows vaguely about how deep (and wide) this game goes, this fills me with dread
I love it
@@multiapples6215 same! I first tried noita when it was in beta, thought it was fun but not my cup of tea. I completed (painfully) my dead god in the binding of isaac about four months ago, and started to feel longing for some big and gradually progressing rogue-like (and didn’t want to repeat deadgod), and remembered about noita (also, one of my favorite tboi streamers played it a lot, and I trust his taste). I tried remembering my early days in tboi and how I approached it, and decided to perform the same approach with Noita. Looking up some beginners guide and tips, finding out the main stuff to make the game progress (spellcrafting), looking up some weird stuff I encounter through the game carefully (that’s how I learned about fungal reality shifts, for example). And wouldn’t you know it, I got absolutely hooked! Spellcrafting and wandtinkering has the same vibe as understanding how rng works in tboi and how to manipulate it like true stochastymancer. Looking back at my experience and drawing parallels with this new game, when I’m just on the first stepping stone… it’s like making a life commitment or something. Dreadful, exciting, nauseating and ecstatic.
A little addendum:
Some spells can remove material even if they don't look like they remove it, for example, the basic bomb can erase some material like lava
I used this strategy for the lava lake one time with the perk unlimited spells
Not the best example, but it gets the idea
In my runs the best spells for this are the plasma beams with the blue plasma only targeting liquids and soft powders. Plasma beam orbit works great on rapid fire wands for getting rid of stray pixels of poly or ominous liquid.
There are other parts of a wand that can tell you more about it. Seeing as Fury didn't put it in the video, I'll put them behind this SPOILER WARNING.
If a wand has a "core", that means it is a non-shuffle wand.
If the wand glows purple, that means it has an always-cast on it.
Typically, wands that are longer have more spell slots.
Wow, so many hours in noita and I didn't know about the purple glow! Very cool
I'm actually making a *separate* video on this - wand visuals and stats - because I felt it would be best in a separate one and not crammed in here. Thanks for posting!
@@FuryForged Is there anything more than the visuals mentioned in that comment?
@@octia2817 Wands fire spells from the tip if I'm not mistaken. So, shorter wands fire spells closer to you and longer wands fire spells further away from you, which may be helpful when you cast certain dangerous spells that can also harm you.
@@chaosincarnate7304 Ah, I suppose if you get into that, you may as well say about how certain spells on wands generate different effects from the wand, when held. Like electricity, or flammable gas.
Ooo, this’ll be awesome. Not quite a beginner but maybe I can sent this to people to rope them into this -awful- wonderful game.
You can also open your inventory and pull the flask from the slot for it to drop next to you if you don't want to risk the tiny throw potentially shattering it. This drop even works without liquids under you, it just slips out and sits down right next to you.
My go-to method, although I had one incident early on where I aimed the cursor directly under me while attempting to store some worm blood and the flask still shattered into a million pieces which actually made me laugh out loud considering how carful I was trying to be but yeah aim a little _away_ from the player mass. It also helps to hold the bottle to see the throwing trajectory.
This one can also break the flask. The golden rule is to always have enough fluid as a buffer to slow down the flask.
Note that the direction you drop a spell/potion/wand via this method is also dictated by where you point the cursor, so you have to still be careful where you aim it.
This is the guide I wish I found years ago. I was spoiled on so much end game stuff from THE TOP RESULT IN CZcams GUIDES FOR NOITA.
I bought this game going in blind. I had no idea what to expect. All I had to go on was seeing some brief clips of people with insane wand configurations get destroyed, and thought: Screw it, that looks fun. I'm now 20 hours into this game and haven't got very far, and was hesitant to watch any kind of videos or read any guides for fear of spoilers. I'm grateful for your video and the fact that it answered 95% of my questions. Also, the trick with the tablet is huge.
About dodging -
there isn't a single enemy in the game that will take into account your current speed when aiming, meaning - every single enemy will shoot at exactly where you are in the moment the projectile is released, whether you are moving or not. All it takes to dodge a lot of attacks is just... Not stopping :) Or rather, any constant vertical movement, up or down.
I have almost 900 hrs playing, I'm still a beginner
Bro... Same!
Feel you, there's always to learn
Great balance of giving good advice and not spoiling too many secrets. I find the best part of this game is finding cool things on your own and experimenting around.
I installed noita a week ago 😁 and i had alot of problems in wand builds , looking forward to your videos 🤩
If you want to learn more about wands I'd highly recommend watching DunkOrSlam's videos.
He has a lot of informative videos about making wand builds.
I bought and played this game quite a long time ago. I ended up getting frustrated with it but as of yesterday im back and having a lot of fun playing it. How lucky it is for me that right when im getting back into the game you post this guide. Thanks, man!
Have fun! I hope what I've had to say helps.
Bought this game yesterday afternoon after hearing about it for awhile. First run made to the portal got a barrier spell, shot it then proceeded to walk through and die. Took the L gracefully and played for 4 hours straight after that. I love this game
Been playing for 1000+ hours and I completely forgot about unstable tele and slime. So thank you!
that was a really really well structured and presented guide. did not feel like 30 minutes at all.
I love that even after playing this game for decent while and watching SO MANY of your videos, I still learn something new from even a beginner's guide video. Keep up the great work Fury!
thank you! started playing yesterday and have been enjoying the game much more than I wouldve thought, your guide helped me clear up some confusion I still had
New player here: thank you. Update: I beat the game today for the first time, 2 hours after making this comment. Good luck to everyone else playing for the first time as well!
If there was one thing I'd love to see added it would be "Active Wand Statistics"
Putting parenthesis around the current: Cast Time + Recharge Time + Mana Use Per Recharge to reflect the current spells & mods influencing the stats would go a LONGGGG way towards helping people learn how wands work + how to best build them. You could even keep the original stats where they are, just have (X.XX) noted next to it!
Until then, I'll do my best to remember which spells augment which stats & mainly play it by feel. ❤
Fantastic game, love the insane depth of the game's systems & the crazy size of the world! Just gotta find a few more tools to help me learn to navigate these depths (and heights). Your videos are certainly a great start!
Sweet video! I started playing Noita less than a year ago and put it down because of difficulty and impatience in figuring things out. I love subtle hints because it helps me look at the puzzles from a new angle, so I can still enjoy figuring them out, rather than looking up solutions (which is boring). Also I feel like the wand tips here finally make the wand spell making seem fun and magical, instead of just... Bland, which is how it seemed at first when I didn't understand how much you could do to change wands. So thanks, now I wanna play Noita today!
Just wanted to thank you for taking the time out of your life to make this very useful video!
I just started playing this one and was looking for a starting guide like this that showed me just enough without spoiling anything for me. That was a great touch. Thus I tossed you a sub for that little touch.
Yes! I've been waiting for a guide! I joined noita two weeks ago, and am so glad this video got made. Thanks Fury Forged!
Just started playing the game yesterday and was looking for a video like this.
Thanks alot! I think the balance between tipps and "spoilers" is very good and doesnt take away the excitement to discover the games world.
Easily my favorite channel for Noita help. Thank you so much for the time, effort, and talent. It's greatly appreciated!
I love the detail that I've always found this game mysterious and kind of full of secrets, and while I really wasn't sure about watching a guide to Noita video because I felt I was going to lose that mystery feeling about the game, you definitely helped keeping most of the game out of the video. Thank you!
A wonderful guide, thank you! I am not a beginner and stream my daily runs but I learned new tricks! Love the keyboard recommendation. ❤
Had this game on my wishlist for quite a while and finally managed to pick it up on sale. I've only played about 8 hours so far and was really confused about a lot of things. Thank you so much for this helpful beginner's guide!
I've had this game for years and I've never really thought to look up a guide, but all these tips are completely new to me. shoulda looked this up forever ago
9 months later after the video got uploaded and here i am, a newborn player (9months, yeh pun had to be) in need of a guide. Thanks for the helpful guide! Greatly appreciate!
I've been playing Noita since early 2020 so I know my stuff, but I still checked out your video to see what you had to say. Very comprehensive of important mechanics and the mindset to go into the game. I even learned a few tricks I never discovered on my own! Good stuff bro
HE MADE IT! Damn, glad I'll be at the end of the shift so I'll have spare time to watch it.
Be careful with your shift) don't make it fungal, and accidentally turn floor to lava
@@DarthValesandr The stream will cause shift to be Lava -> Lively Concoction.
I've been playing this game on 'Idiot' difficulty for way too long.
Games are timeless, especially with beautiful pixel art! thank you for this!
As a returning player, this refreshes my memory of this game a lot. Thanks Fury!
Video's great man! Covered off a bunch of stuff I was struggling with
Thank you so much :) this got me so much more excited in this game !!!
Even when I know all of this information, this helped bring me back to my first days playing Noita... Thanks, Fury.
Great guide, Fury! Covered everything a new player could ever ask for!
another super cool intentional (?) bug is item possession with the tablet. fury already showcased it, but it you throw the tablet, and on the first frame the tablet appears, press the button to equip the tablet, you can spam left click to telepathically control the tablet. it can kill enemies, drop double gold, and can be recalled with E. dope stuff lol
This video just saved my ability to enjoy the game. I started playing yesterday, but too many things were too confusing for me. I couldn't even figure out where to start trying to improve, and I probably would have put the game down after aimlessly struggling through it for another several hours. Now I at least have an idea of what I'm doing and an understanding of what I need to improve upon as a player. The wand section was particularly helpful to me. Thank you for making this.
Can confirm - still VERY relevant! Thank you for helping me Noita. Been playing for a month now and I still found some helpful tips. I suck a little less now.
This is a really useful guide, thank you so much for it! :)
thanks, the first thing i looked for on your channel when i found the game was some sort of starter guide. i was shocked that you had not done one and thought i was dumb and just couldnt find it.
You're welcome. Yeahhh, I should have made one ages ago, but my focus during development was on the secrets, making sure to cover all of those. Then I started covering more and more tips as time went on. Now that the devs are back working on at least one large, major update, I figured it was time to finally get this thing out. Have a good one!
Just installed for the first time last night and I’m so hype.. one of the most beautiful games and I’ve barely scratched the surface
Chapter 6 was my favourite
This is great. Deffintely the video i needed to watch before spoiling myself with the lore. The hints are nice
Great video! I think a comprehensivr guide on wands and spells would be well welcomed!
I've been watching for over a year, and I still learned some things that I didn't know from this. 👍
Hello, new player here. Thanks for changing your mind and making the video.
Super helpful, thanks man
Even as someone who's played noita a good amount now this video was still extremely helpful. Thank you
gave this game another chance since i got a steam deck for christmas and it has been the most fun ive had on it thanks to this guide, thanks a ton!
Awesome. Have fun!
Great guide! Thank you!
i just got this game on sale and haven't played it yet. havent watched the full vid but this seems like it's gonna be one of my new favorites so thanks for the beginners tips. also, i appreciate the commenting guideline you put in. that's a very good rule to apply to commenting as well as life in general.
edit: subbed for the dedication as you clearly care about helping others learn about this game. im sure ill be referring back to your vids once i inevitably get confused lol
Thanks and welcome! I've been making videos of this game since the very first day it released into early access. I try to make all my videos in a way that both celebrates the game and hopefully increases peoples' enjoyment of it! I hope you're having a nice day.
@@FuryForged I got the game three days ago but I keep dying on that one ice base
@@lux2caligoclassic. Now you gotta spend an hour getting experimental wand and money box just to die in the same level🫡
Thank you very much for this wonderful and magnificent video, full of very useful and interesting tips about the chaotic world of Noita. Thanks to your video and advice, my races are going to last a little longer, it will be time to learn from my mistakes. I hope that the translator of the subtitles did the job well so that he can understand your comments and apply them in my games. My level of English is very basic but I was able to understand some things.
This is going to be incredible
2:44 in and this is the most blunt and simple change one can make but it has so much impact! i am sad that i didnt got the idea my self😂
xD thanks for the Hamis tip 6. I got the crown and amulet with it!
haha, early on, I set my mouse button 4 and 5 to respectively the 1st want and 1st post. This is so helpful !
Extremely helpful! I completely didn't realize the thing about adding a chainsaw to a wand but in hindsight it seems obvious.
Thanks buddy. May it serve you well, heh. I hope you're having a nice day, man.
it's good that there's still someone that makes content on this game
Yo fury, I’ve been watching you for 2 years now, and now after a year of playing noita, thanks to your help I finally beat the game, with a little help from a rapid fire trigger freezing, electric brimstone wand, but I definitely wouldn’t have survived without your advice. Thank you for teaching me how to noita
You're welcome, tree! GG. Time for a sun run! :P
@@FuryForged of course, I’m thinking of just solving the cauldron next tuesday too y’know?
Good video, and I've marked for if I come back to Noita. That said, and this is quite off topic, but I kept thinking I was listening to a Bob explain Noita to me. Your voice is similar to Ray Porter's reading of the Bobiverse audiobook series. It was a little trippy because Noita is definitely something I could see the character from it actually having played it.
I have learned so much, thank you!
6:15 THIS - this is the tip I've been giving to new players for a while, it's the one that makes people go "oh you can actually do some crazy shit in this game"
I'm very happy it was included in this vid
I knew the game was really detailed and had lots of unique mechanics but didnt know what they were. I had no idea the whole time youre doing this stuff without me knowing or understanding what you've been doing.
i’ve played this game like 2 years ago and was terrible, just got into it again and i’m STILL terrible so your guides are always helpful no matter what time they come out
Excellent video as always. 👍👍🔥❤️🔥
Hell yea, watched a few tips, learned a few things and got my first legit win! And much better runs now! Ty for these.
Thanks for letting me know! It makes me very happy that my work making this video is useful for others. Happy Noiting!
I'm so excited because one of my goals is to win/complete Noita before starting to use mods
That video helped me a lot, thank you!
Excellent. I'm glad it helped! Have a great day.
thank you SO much for this I am so stuck at this game rn
some of this knowledge can be learned with the minecraft apprach (learn by playing and messing around without watching tutorials)
but theres a hand full of stuff i HAVE to thank you for . i didnt know trick kills worked like that and that chainsaw trick is a god send along with just drinking the potions instead of yeeting them like some madman
You are the best Noita information source on the net!
Thanks for this - I'd played a bit a while ago, kinda lost interest, and seeing this and having a bit more idea of what to be poking at has got me back into the game!
This was very helpful - thanks
I'm glad it helped! Have fun.
this really helped ty
cheers mate. this is awesome
fantastic guide
Glad you made this
Best Noita beginner guide on CZcams!
Please make a wand video! This one was amazing and I learned a lot. I really want to get more into this game but the wands/spells can be so confusing
Thank you for this video👍🏼😉
I've been playing since 2020 but i showed my partner this past week and let him play for several hours, totally gonna show him this
I buy this game thanks of you FuryForged... and this FROM VERY BEGINNING... MANY TIME PASS.... MANY VIDEO PASS... THANKS MAN.
Nice info for getting back after a short break from the game.
Extremely well done.
Very useful!
started playing because of this
thank you :)
thanks needed this
holy shit thanks for this video i stoped playing noita because i found it difficult to get into but this video helped A LOT
i think ill be able to pass zone 3 finally!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU!
Perfect, thanks!
great video!
I use forward and back buttons on my mouse for wand 1 and 2, and the click scroll wheel button for the water flask. That way I never have to take my fingers off the movement buttons
omg thank you!
