There is a secret one that says "the monstruosity has been unleashed", still no clues about its origin or how to get it.
man, that kinda lore reminds me of Synthetik. game’s a lot like noita - go in, explore, find a combination of spells and weapons that turns you into a god amongst machines, die to your own dumbass mistakes.
I LOVED the premise of being hunted in that game, because it wasn’t like so many other games where the enemies are either trivial or suffering from plot-induced-armour. the ‘mercenaries’ (think a squad of Steve’s that follow you relentlessly) were ACTUALLY tough! like, they had their own upgrades to make their guns fire 10x as fast as usual, tough!

The reason why the "Touch grass" spell kills you if you are not basking in the warmth and light of the Sun is very simple. It forces -gamers- mages to go outside. So wise are the -devs- ancients in their spell design! Praise be, praise be!
I wonder if it still kills you underground when you have a sun. Same with dark sun and supernova

I believe the "Touch of Grass" was added not only for the quest, but also as a joke from the Devs after DunkOrSlam did a 57 hour stream of Noita attempting to do a "from 0 to 100% completion in one run challenge", a couple of weeks ago
Naaah, Arvi, who works under contract to NollaGames, had plans to add it several months ago, but just ran out of time on his contract and didn’t get to finish and add it.
This patch *was* really well-timed, though, lol, after Dunk’s 57-hour run and my 4-month long base-building/alchemy experiment run ;P
But that’s not WHY Touch of Grass was made and added.
Aaaah I see. The timing just seemed too good, but that makes a lot of sense too.
And yeah, lately all the Noita comunity seems to be really invested, so the Devs kinda nudging you guys to go outside and touch some grass (under the sun as well, lest you become grass yourself :P) seemed appropiate lol

henkevä temple means "breath-y temple"/ "souls-y temple" / "lively temple", can be used in many ways, but generally along these lines. "henkevä" is an adjective version of the word "henki", which by it self means "soul/ghost, breath, life(generally: alive)"

i find this as an interesting choice of words of the temple, instead of just "temple of mimicry" or something, but they specifically chose "henkevä" for it, which in it self points to the fact of giving life to the potions.

"Molut" is just a mix of the Finnish words for milk and beer: milk being "maito" and beer being "olut", so maito + olut = molut.

Great idea! A new forest in the desert, with some mystery fungus growing in it as well. That'll be done when I start my next alchemy base run. I'll name it: Leprichaun Forest ;)

there are also temples in the work sky up above the shops on the right side, they have flipped T tunnels filled with water at the top with lots of tier 10 spells and 2 on the inside in water, havent explored to the sides tho
Yup! I should have probably mentioned those. I also forgot to mention The Labyrinth, which is a mysterious biome that isn’t in-game (we think) that appeared in the data, but then was removed (or hidden?) in today’s follow-up patch… So, there might be something called “the labyrinth” coming soon ;)
I recently watched a dunk or slam video where he talked about touch of grass being added conveniently after he did a nonstop livestream until he did every quest in the game.
Now you can "conveniently" obtain it in a quest line that makes the past 4 months of your alchemy run much easier. Just noticing a pattern here.
The devs are routinely watching popular Noita streamers like DunkOrSlam, FuryForged, and LetsSufferTogether. They often comment on-stream, or make changes based on video feedback from them.
It's cool that they pay attention to what's going on in the community!

Fury, years go by and you are still one of my favorite creators on CZcams. Full professionalism, sense of humor, and a kind of inner warmth emanating from your voice make it so you could make a video about anything and I suspect it would be watched with a smile on one's face. Right before I went to sleep last night I saw the update, and likewise was pissed it broke my alchemy lab. But waking up this morning I had NO IDEA the patch was all this. Bless the Noita gods for this amazing update! Awesome video Fury, I can always count on you to keep me in the know!
It's unfortunate so much work has to be re-done, but I suppose that's life. Plus, we got some absolutely amazing content that will help really cut down on time when making the NEXT alchemy lab! Let's go! (Still, I'm going to wait a bit before I start another base, ha.)

Our Water seems to be the Touch Of Urine spell.
Nah it was just a hint that Divine ground from Touch of Grass mixed with Urine (probably from Touch of Piss) makes Healium Gas.
You can kill the ball with saving grace and +1 perk too

are the gods are turning to THE PLAYER to help them find where mina went? is that why the hint only appears when they start looking for you? if so, thatd be an insane way to break the 4th wall

The thing that got me to try out and become addicted to Noita was finding out about the entire world of secrets. So excited the devs are adding in even more to discover
Ive also noticed there is 2 new things in hell that seem to mimic the islands above.

You can still complete the quest when you lose the Mimicium flask I think. You can throw an empty potion at the mountain altair and get mimicium flask rain. I haven't checked if those work for the quest though. Also the quest exists in NG+.
You still need it to have some liquid to work unforunately.
The weirdest thing happened to me today, as of right now :
I was on my way to complete the new puzzles but first went to the boss arena, and the rock boss was here as expected, however I fired my black hole wand by accident which killed the little potion dude sitting in water on top of the middle puzzle. So I went back to the boss, but he was literally gone !
Might mean something, or might not. Noita bosses often just leave to go for a walk, never to be heard from again! I've lost a few bosses before, it gets annoying when you need something from them.

But Lohkare/Kivi can’t really do that. It’s in a largely enclosed room and can’t go through walls.
And while I have seen it somehow manage to get up to the top of the temple and jump off (I have no idea how it managed that) it got stuck in a loop of falling down and getting teleported back up. (It didn’t get moved horizontally so it just kept falling over and over) It seems like if it gets too far from the temple (at least vertically) it gets teleported back.
Ah, that explains why I couldn't unlock Sea of Mimicium. I picked up each potion and scooped them through Mimicium in a hole I made. Didn't even know the glyphs lit up! lol
Important note: Kumitusses use "bones" wands, which are basically wands from your past runs. They might be either harmless starting ones you had or the deadly endgame killing wands u've built so be careful lol.
The community and you are the sole reason why Noita still gets updates. I can't imagine myself doing same things in the game.
Ok, since I am not playing the beta branch I have few questions.
A. If the part of a hint is "As luminosity increases", couldn't be part of the puzzle drinking worm blood with adjusting the settings?
B. Do you think Cessation spel could be used in polymorph safety eggs builds? That could be fun, that is if the spell work on you while polymorphed.
This beta really makes eat your vegetables mot so risky perk. Firstly devs added meat realm, which you can just... devour, but now you can literary duplicate blood, worm blood and, most importantly, healthy porridge
Good point! Would be crazy how powerful your spells would be if you ate thousands of pounds of food first.

I just got this game a couple months ago and ive never even beaten a run and seeing crazy stuff like this and the sun quest and alternate worlds just completely overwhelmes me... Great game tho
I kicked a potion I found in the main dungeon, forget where, and it gave me the sea of mimicium, hadn't even been to the floating temples yet.
i wonder if the act of cessation is essentially the same as being polymorphed, but without a creature replacing you. just the entire player being temporarily removed from the world. has anybody tried cessation at perk removal altar and such?

I can't handle another secret code 😫! I really hope one of these patches gives us the final piece that will bring everything together, the eyes, the cauldron, and now this one, all to solve the ultimate mystery and unlock some crazy stuff in the game.
First off, awesome video, and I have a meh "theory" (more so observation than anything) below, so spoilers:
I would like to note something about the background tablet things in the temples. Every time one is visible, it relates to casting a spell: sea of mimicry for the wavy tablet in the fish temple, and touch of grass for the spikey tablet in the barren temple. There is also one of these tablets in the background of the kivi temple (Also, the name of the boss and temple changed to Kivi and Kivi temple, so "stone"). As for the tablet, I initially thought it meant to cast rock or petrify toward the boss, but rock did nothing, and petrify does not work either. One thing I wanted to test was casting the explosive detonator spell, since it deletes projectiles from existence (guessing that the rock boss itself WAS the spell depicted on the tablet), but it did nothing. I am going to try again with some of them, as some tests initially used mods (because I was lazy)
I think it's supposed to signify that you're supposed to use cessation to bypass the thorn damage from the rock
@@supermagma could be, but cessation really doesn't resemble the kivi boss's tablet. Using cessation seems like the intended strategy, but it just feels odd to me
11:48 if shortening the duration causes an integer underflow, that actually means the timer is just set to a very high value, not infinite. So after approximately 49 days of keeping the game running, there is a chance you would reappear. Might be worth investigating.
it's nifty that those glyphs almost look like how the wands do, with how wands visually give hints to their properties with their designs.
The number of touch of grass jokes the devs are having… like being outside vs being inside… oh these goofballs

There absolutely HAS to be more to the spell that hides you from the gods. It has such interesting implications. For one, it means the gods are ALWAYS watching you and see you at any given moment, and that they immediately panic and look for you when they don't see you.
This all makes my brain just buzz with theories. Mainly though, what other things in the game are linked inherently with our player character? Would this spell effect Kolmi for instance? If we vanish from the world, would he revert to his zero orb health version for that time?
I can’t wait to see the stupid wands people make with Cessation, being able to technically block all the damage from your own wand (I mean I assume you don’t take damage when you disappear) will surely lead to some very broken piercing or bloodlust builds

Oh fun fact! The Ominous and Henkeva temples are actually mirrored in Hell, and are packed with spells you can buy, while having few enemies on them. They’re basically spell shops, and are found in every single “Biome Loop”!
I presume they’re also found in Heaven (as below, so above), but might be harder to find due to the fact you’re searching for them in a wide gap between a Mines copy and a Hell copy, and heaven doesn’t have obvious horizontal boundaries like the cave that hell is in does.
Hey Fury, thanks for getting me in to this game. Thanks to the knowledge from you and DunkOrSlam, I got my first win with a kill on a 3 orb Kolmi, Alchemist and Bridge Boss in a single run after only 35 deaths!
Oh shit, just the other day I polymorphed into a mimicbottle and didn't think much of it beyond "Huh, never seen or been to whatever area this spawns in"

Im very convinced there is more to the quest than even covered here:
Concerning the arrow, there is always a pile of diamond and sand directly below it, and a piece cut out of the building. Im convinced this is what the arrow is pointing to, rather than anything significantly deeper. What to do with that? Idk.
I realize the 3 ghosts are signposted, but "rewarding" you with death is what Noita does when you do things "wrong" (think poly+chest rain fixes, spawning squidwards at the dark sun, that type of thing)
The 3 ghosts are an appropriate risk-reward in disguise, actually. They can spawn with wands that your previous runs were using, meaning potentially super powerful wands that you're already familiar with.
@@Rhino1004 while I agree, this is also why I disagree. The ghosts themselves are a proper risk reward imo, but to kill a boss to be rewarded with ghosts is less so.
Basically, for the work most players will have to put in to kill him, the fact that bones files are randomly picked (you don't actually know the reward beforehand) and that they spawn with life equal to yours, this all tells me it's meant to kill you more than to reward you.
I don't think I'm super right tho lol, what you said is entirely plausible approach to reward too

Kivi temple? Well the game is full of mage stones. Worth exploring?
Ghosts Spawn in the alchemical symbol of Oil. Coincidence? Probably. But worth investigating considering 90% of the update was alchemy related

When carrying the mimicium potion, your homing shots home in on you like they're trying to kill the potion but cant hit it
Yeah, that was supposed to have been fixed, along with a few other major "bugs" from this update, but...it looks like maybe they changed their minds about that, idk. But, yeah, it's a VERY cool effect to be able to home spells into yourself while carrying one of those (they also trigger Close Call constantly while in your inventory, making you crit constantly.)

Yup, the name is a portmanteau of maito and olut. Maito is milk, and olut is beer.

Can you go to the lokkhare while polymorphed into a lowhealth enemy like a sheep or hamis to lock its health? Or will it immediately shift back to your own health after the polymorph ends?

Some interesting thing. When I found potion mimic first time I killed it and sea of mimicium was dropped/unlocked.

My immediate thought is that maybe this is a pseudo-hint for the eyes. Like maybe if you mess with various values with the eyes it’ll reveal something. It’s a shot in the dark, but I guess there may be some connection with them being eyes and how we, well, SEE with our eyes.

Hey Viker. This video here is a rundown of the latest content. The new big patch "Epilogue 2" that was pushed to main is actually all the beta patches that have come out over the last 10 months or so. I've already covered all the content from these patches as each came out over the last 10 months.
apparently you cant go to other worlds to get the ominous liquid part to work, i broke my temple in my main world on accident and now i gotta wait for another run
Im still very new to noita and not playing on the beta builds, but how do you get the substance info to be on your cursor and not right of the item bar?
In the settings(I think visuals) there’s a setting for it, just a box to check
Considering both the cypher and glyphs are set up as rows of symbols in cubic shapes, my bet is the cypher being a hint or key TO the eye puzzle, and the true amulet...
Nice, I love the lore and stuff but I can never get to do NG+ let alone be lucky enough to have the right wands. Some runs I just simply never get tp bolts or anything that digs through the holy mountain. Been like 3 years but I still run into the issue of just plain bad wands that can't get me through level 3
Okay I thought it was just some spells. WHAT THE HECK IT'S ACTUALLY INSANE.
Now having access to a single TP bolt opens up the opportunity to get one of the new best utility spells in the game. That's incredible.
