OK. For the people asking how the boy knew that the lily was white. I believe he was told by the people who also lived there, that tree grows white lily's.
*plot twist* The guy accidentally picked a black lily instead of a white one since he couldn't see the color
That's the one thing about this song I never got. I get he can tell the lily is in full bloom by feeling but how does he know it's white. It's just a little plot hole and I'm nit picking but I am kind of curious.

Is it me or are all of Ryus songs really beautiful? I hate to admit that I sometimes get really emotional after hearing one of his songs and start to tear up, I like how you can really hear the emotions/theme of the song just in the tone of the music. I like how this song has a fairy tale theme. I listened to this awhile back because I just wanted to know what the English lyrics were but I really like this version too as you have a great singing voice, I am shocked this only has 6300 views.

Okay so,
1. I have come to the conclusion that the song is sang in her perspective (as she says "I" and "my" a lot)
2. When he gives her the flower he says he'll bring it for her and in the end, when she receives it, she receives a black Lily flower. This was because the boy got the flower's color wrong. He gave her a black Lily flower which holds the meaning of death which is why the girl started thinking the world would be better off with her dead & doubting that he was her friend. When the boy's vision was cleared, he realized he gave her the wrong flower and rushed to find & reassure her. So in the end, I don't really think the Goddess of Fate had anything to do with changing the flower's color.
There's also a theory going around that the Goddess of Fate wasn't real and a figment of the girl's imagination made to blame for her misfortunes thus meaning that the boy's eyes were actually cleared due to some kind of cure found later.

I remember wondering what happened to this cover... I'm so glad you decided to bring it back! Of course, it's always your choice to share your singing with us, so I'm always thankful for all of the super pretty, amazing, and gorgeous things you keep sharing with us. This cover has that moment, like a sudden realization of how amazingly pretty it is, that just forces me to stop and feel it, every time I listen to it... It's so incredible being able to be able to feel so strongly from singing like that, you know?
I love going back to your covers and listening to them all again and again, so even sharing something that isn't new isn't wasting time for me! It's a really nice way to spend time, when I can always be confident that I'll enjoy having that sound in my ears, regardless of which work of yours I'm listening to. Writing these comments gives me a good excuse to listen to each song at least one more time, even with getting to share whatever feelings I have because of it!

Oh, I almost forgot... Your poll has a lot of songs I'm familiar with and would love to hear you sing, so it was hard to choose (I don't know if it would have been any easier if the one I suggested was there, honestly), but in the end I went for one I've been listening to a lot lately that seems like a bit of an underdog (with a reasonable chance of winning, though). Which, in retrospect, might not be that helpful when you're trying to pick one to do next... Well, even if you do a song I've never heard before (like the recent The Real Disappearance of Hatsune Miku), I know you'll do a great job with it! God these lyrics are so good! I'm on a bit of a Miku kick, specifically with this song because honestly it's one of my favourites. I made a comment like 10 minutes ago or something on the original track about why I like how the conflict resolves itself in the original song. I said that one of the major things that it implies is that the girl loses her curse, but it's not because of any divine intervention or even a change in appearance. She just is told by one kind person that she is beautiful and that he would stay with her and that would be enough. Your version brings that home, by not really bringing up the curse at all at the end, just showing that his saying what he said is important to her.
I know this video is old, so this is borderline void-yelling. But yeah, this is a great version of a great song. Good job

I can relate painfully well to the girl in this song, I often feel I am ugly because of my acne scars and other unappealing facial features and because of my beanpole body. I don't really have any curves and my chest isn't all that big. Sometimes it feels like only a blind man could ever fall in love with me. Heh, maybe not even then, he'd also have to be deaf not to hear my ugly boyish voice. I know that "beauty fades" and that "it's what's on the inside that counts". I know that a guy should love me for my personality, not my looks. But those platitudes don't really help me or make me feel any better. Is it so wrong to want to feel beautiful sometimes? Is it so wrong to want to put on a dress and make-up and strut out of my house feeling like all eyes are on me (in a good way)? I know beauty isn't everything, but still... it's depressing.

I really like your voice, especially because a lot of other cover singers have a relatively high voice, but your voice isn't and it's somehow more attractive. Your lyrics are truly beautiful, I have never seen one who can show, not tell with songs such as vocaloid or anime songs this well. The story your lyrics told were very similar to that of the one the original told and I adore your lyrics for that.
