😂😂
As a long rifle bearer I deny this information we have slower velocity

Dissipater. Rifle length gas tube 16" barrel. Really hard to find .
Colt Sporter, near 1974 vintage. The forward end of the lower is secured to the upper by a screw rather than a spring pin. Colt did that so that the M16 uppers/lowers were incompatible with the Sporters. I have a '74 SP-1 with a bird cage flash hider and no forward assist.

Every M-16 A-1 that I had in the Army, 50 years ago, was a tack driver. I qualified expert easily every time. Never had a misfire either. I liked the rifle. Good Luck, Rick
In '79 I scored 226, (maybe 229, memory is not that great anymore)!
@@jacob.tudragensI'm 72, there's a lot that I don't remember anymore. Our qualifications were based on 50 rounds at varying ranges. We shot at silhouette targets that dropped when hit. One time the 400m target wouldn't go down so I tried the old M-14 trick of hitting the dirt in front. That worked. An LTC was watching me. He went over to the big scope and looked at my 400m target. He then chewed out the CPT in charge because he was supposed to have put up all new targets that morning and obviously hadn't. The LTC ordered the scorer to give me credit for all shots at the shot out targets. Good Luck, Rick
@richardross7219 I was MC. We had a maximum of 250 points, shot from 100m, 200m, and 300m.
If I remember right!
Edit: I corrected the distances!
And I'm pretty sure I remember this time!
2 inch grouping slightly high and to the right of dead center (all black) on the two hundred meters, rapid fire, prone position.
Got a case of hubris on the three hundred meters, rapid fire, prone position and had them scattered hither and yon!
I calculated I would have had a score of 244 or 245 had I done as well on the 300m as I did on the 200m! High score for the series! Boot camp, of course!
My dad said he'd use that 3 prong to twist barbed wire out of the way. I don't pester him on memories he doesn't want to remember but I recall he said that muzzle brake was pretty useful

Isnt m16 basically the same with m4. Sorry i dont really know guns
@@fbi8372not really, it’s a different mechanism, sight and firing rate (burst=m16, fully automatic=m4

But its mechanically the same except for M16s having a burst and semi trigger instead of a a semi and full auto one. Although the M16A1 uses the same trigger as the M4A1 but yeah.
There's a few other minor differences like barrel length and handguards but nothing major. Although handling can feel quite different depending on how those guns are set up.

I think H&R was making them but now they're under PSA!
@tacticalbrahhhgh6739 They are. Ive heard a few grumblings of QC issues. Still pissed at Brownells regardless.
They got their forging a from nodak spud and nodak spud no longer exists
@Liberty_76 Kinda - they got bought by psa and folded into the h&r brand for their own retro line. Which while still offering a lot of neat retro guns... tend to be a bit pricier and lacking some of the fun options brownells had. Sad times... oh well
@@HollowBurden sort of. Mike from Nodak is the CEO of PSA’s H&R brand. Harlan from Nodak retired and they shut down Nodak completely. Mike is retooling everything for their retro line now, he’s going to be making 601 parts as well. Plus I don’t think PSA/H&R will be providing the competition any forgings anytime soon lol
Hell yeah. Gotta love the early flash hider and twenty round magazine.
I served in the Korean military, and hitting a target 300m standing and without scope was really difficult. This dude is amazing.
My Army basic training M-16 was manufactured under license by General Motors Hydra Matic Division from Colt in 1971. I had it for the summer of 1987 at Fort Jackson, SC. I qualified as an expert rifleman with it on 25 JUL 1987. The serial number was 1900041X. You never forget your first.

I love that you can actually see the bullet travel on the camera. I didn't realize they had such a big trail of moving air.
God I love Dissipator-configured ARs.
The Vietnam war era handguard is still the best looking handguard for any AR platform.
It's kinda useless though since you're not supposed to use it as a carry handle.
i disagree. it's a nice, classic look, but i prefer picatinny handguards.
@@twdl_png755 Picatinny with a small angled grip that you can still C-Clamp is sooo easy to control and easy to get ahold of. I love the look of the classic handguard, but practicality always wins.
@@BigWheel.Sounds like you're taking about the rear sight assembly. He's taking about the fore grips.
@@BigWheel.originally the “ carry handle” was a guard for the top mounted charging handle. It kept the jungle bush and vines from interfering with the operation of the charging handle. But it remained to keep the sights aligned, even after the redesigned charging handle was placed at the rear of the upper receiver.

You just got yourself a dissipator carbine.
Good job.
Atıcı oldukça iyi. Standart piyade tüfeği ile keskin nişancı atışı yapıyor. Teknik eksikliği kendi niteliği ve yeteneği ile kapatıyor. Kesinlikle başarılı 👏
Round of applause for that loop.
That there is a clean loop. Honestly, I prefer the aesthetics of old-style ARs, there's something I love about a full stock, sleek, simple furniture, and the old carry handle. But if it came down to having to really use it, obviously I'd want a more modern one simply for the modularity and the ability to add things like flaslights and low or no-magnification optics easily.
Thanks man

I remember playing Vietco which is historically a pretty accurate game. The characters in the game mentioned that 1st time they were equipped with them they had jamming problem. I think it was because of 20 ammo in the magazine. So tommy guns were kind of of back again. Then they lowered the capacity down to 18 ammo and it was fairly good weapon in the end. I sooo much like its design and power.
Respect for these shots. I would never hit at this range.
Wouldn't hit either, target might catch somethin
Honestly might wanna hit the range
@@kemian4156Are ranges that big? Also some people can’t even see things that far away, the range isn’t going to improve your eyes.
@@calcium_skeleton I mean 300 ft? Honestly if you're shooting at a man sized target that's not hard to see, of course smaller targets have to be highly contrasted when you only use iron sights.
When it comes to the range size I honestly don't know. Never been to a commercial shooting range, only to military ones. Those ranges aren't unheard of there
@@kemian4156 Bad eyes, glasses don’t make them perfect just good enough to see medium distance things like a road sign. I did say some people, and also I’ve never seen a range and I was just wondering if they got that long.

Cool hits with iron sights. In ‘72 Marine boot I qualified as Sharpshooter on an M14. Loved that rifle but it had running sights. I had to improvise, adjust, and adapt to qualify. Three years later while in Quantico I had to requalify again but this time with an M16. We used the FBI range in Quantico, beautiful range. Qualified as Expert easily. But Corps rules said I had to wear the e boot qual of Sharpshooter. Today I shoot an AR15 5.56 and drill the bulls eye with iron sights. My sons need red dots can’t use iron sights. Kids today. LOL Great vid.

You might be right, chances are you'd never feel a thing.
It wouldn't hurt you, it would eviscerate you
The rear sight aperture doesn't have 2 settings to adjust for distance, it's adjustable for lighting conditions.
Wat
You'd be correct if it's an A2 aperture, the A1 aperture does however have different planes and the peep holes are the same size.
You zero an A1 using the 'L' aperture at 25M. Then after zeroing, you rotate the rear sight so that the standard aperture is showing.
This gives you your 250M/375M zero.

In army basic we qualified with pop up knock down plastic silhouettes up to 300 yards . It was easy for an experienced shooter like myself. That’s the beauty of these guns that no one seems to appreciate. You can pile drive them in one after the other in rapid succession without losing your sight picture at long range like this. Try that on automatic or with an M1 or M 14. Another thing people tend to forget about until you’ve had to do it as lugging all that heavy ass ammo around. There’s a significant difference between 556 and 30 Cal.
