England beating Spain would be the shock of the century tbh

Spain deserves it way more. Classified perfectly from the group of death, eliminated the host nation and favorites for the tournament in Germany as well as France. England hasn’t done anything, if they win it’ll be extremely undeserved
To all the replies that go against my initial statement. Spain had by far the hardest run into the final, if Germany or France were on the other side of the bracket they would’ve made it to the final over England. The only reason England was there is because they beat teams that are way inferior to them, they did a good job yes but they had a lot of luck in their bracket as they never faced a side that is internationally known as dangerous except for maybe Netherlands. It’s unfair to say “the road is irrelevant” when one team literally had to beat two powerhouses, whilst the other struggled against the “easier” teams in the tournament
no way
It comes down to one game in the end. What’s gone before is irrelevant in a final.
@@bushmonster1702 Not irrelevant at all.... Do you know Netherlands in 1974? Hungary in 1954? Spain has been the best team in this tournament

As good as my team Spain has played all tournament long, I don't like playing against England one bit. Southgate has them playing at 40% of their power, but it just takes a moment of inspiration from one of their talented players to make some serious damage...
The players in both sides are formidable. They are no unknown players that just left the pitchfork in the farm to play for the team. It all comes down to gameplan, morale, and a bit of luck.
Pues Alemania no pudo aunque empleó todas sus fuerzas y también tiene jugadores que pueden resolver un encuentro. Previo al brazo medio de Cucurella fue el brazo superior de Füllkrug en la misma jugada.
England is the only nation to have a positive score vs Spain..
Alot of people seem to be underestimating how volatile tournament football can be. Like you say, it just takes a few moments of brilliance from some of the these world class players to end the game. It may not be statistically likely, but I don't think statistics are going to matter much if someone like Bellingham decides to have a great game
@@bos-no9wywell they had their shot on goal blocked by a handball to be fair. They looked a little morw dangerous then spain, atleast for a while.

I agree with you Adrian. As usual, you're always on point.
Lamine Yamal is destined for the stars, and given his performances at this Euros, it'd be quite a thing to announce his entry on the big stage of stardom with this victory on Sunday. I mean it'd be epic, wouldn't it? It'd be a throwback to how Pele announced himself back in 1958 as a 17. Yamal turns 17 tomorrow, July 13, and what a befitting birthday present it'd be for me, you know?
However, I feel this Spainish team still has time on their hands to grow and evolve in a fearsome team. This team pretty much reminds me of the Spanish team at the world cup in 2006 in Germany (yeah, on this same German soil, right?). They had the flair and the dazzle but against the much-experienced French team in that round-of-16 match, they huffed and puffed all night, scoring first, but eventually lost the game 3-1 that night. The experience of Zinedine Zidane, Lilian Thuram, Patrick Viera, Makele, Thierry Henry, Florient Maoluda, the emerging talent of Franck Ribéry, etc, proved too strong for that Spanish team. I mean David Villa scored first in that game after 27 minutes, deservedly putting the Spaniards ahead. Ribéry equalized after just 14 minutes. And the game dragged on until the 83rd when Patrick Viera scored through a set-piece, while Zidane capped it off in the 90th with a master class.
My point is this: when you have an experienced team, even if you're on a back-foot for much of the game, for as long you can hold it together with solid defensive shape, and you have the talent, youthful trickery, and intelligence to take your opportunities in those moments in the game, then you're more likely to make it in the end. And I think this England team has it over Spain. So while my head says it's going to be Spain, my heart says it's England, and so for sentimental and emotional reasons, I believe England will win on Sunday.
And looking on the bright side, that Spanish team who lost to France 3-1 in 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, went ahead to win the Euros in 2008, the World Cup in 2010 in South Africa, and retained their European crown at the next Euros in 2012.
For now, let the English fans have their, "It's coming home!" prophetic chants fulfilled for once, will you? Lol.
if England win this I'll lose faith in the beautiful game

It would be so funny if England manages to win, and via penalties, against a Spain that defeated France, Germany, Italy, Croatia all in regular time and with a clean sheet.
@@treehugger3615 I would have a nervous breakdown.
@@treehugger3615 I think the vast majority of commentators in this section NEEDS to see England win in such a manner!
Isnt it sad that even Southgate managed to take big names out of the game like Kane and Fodden because the team needed it (even if they had few minutes until the end of the game) but Martinez kept Ronaldo every single game when the team NEEDED another fresh pair of legs (and ideas).
very sad tbh he is leading this Portugal nation into despair
Imagine if he took Ronaldo off, and Portugal still loss.
Now, only you, and a few others criticise him. If he had done the opposite, 10x times more people would have criticised him.
Its a tough job managing a national team with an aging “legend” that can’t be dropped. Its a lose lose situation either way.

As an England fan, not sure anything can top the ecstasy of Watkins goal. I think given the ludicrous expectations that England were somehow favorites, its actually good for fans and the squad to go into the final as underdogs. Who knows, we may pull a Greece 2004. Excited to be in the final. May the best team win and hope for a great game, even if it ends in heartbreak for Southgate and co. The journey has been incredible.
@mattckwilliams As I said, the goal that won Bellingham Ballon D'or literally because his main rivals took themselves out of the race.
England has world class players up and down the pitch, they absolutely should have been one of the favorites at the start along with Spain, France and Germany. Kane was European top scorer, Bellingham was player of the year in La Liga, and Foden was player of the year in the prem, no way in hell are they 04 Greece
Hey mate! From a Spaniard, whoever wins it´s been a great tournament for both!!! Hope for a great game and a clean one at that! May the best team win so that the biggest winner is football!!!! Much love to England from Spain!!!
@@haydenfreeman7685 For sure see your point, but England have, bar one great half against the Netherlands, s**t housed their way to the final with penalties, last minute winners and equalisers and not played swash buckling football. Spain must win. The Netherlands lost on an unfair way from England by the gifted penalty from Zwayer. Kane pretended Dumfries kicked him while Dumfries tries to keep the ball away from the goal. Kane was the one who kicked. Saka also did at that same moment hands.
There was contact. A soft penalty but definitely contact. Maybe it's karma for what Koeman did as a player to England.
If you don't know, Spain should have gone out after the quarterfinal. Cucurella's foul during the quarterfinal was a clear handball. Germany should have a penalty at that time.

Spain deserves it so much more than this England team ! They had the harder route to the final while England’s toughest match was against a dead Holland team ! Spain needs to save football on Sunday !
Spain is the far better team. They play excellently on both sides of the ball from start to finish and they've done so against the best countries in this tournament. Yamal and Nico are an insanely terrifying wing duo who will give England 1000 scares. And Spain plays far too complete football for Southgate and the lads to bs their way put of trouble......
However, something about England feels inevitable. My bold take is that England hangs on for dear life and wins on Pens 😅

You're very unlikely to get to a final without something either very fortunate and/or benefitting from a questionable call. I've heard some people (not a majority) who saw that as a foul. England fans went into this tournament with a lot of optimism and rightly so... we had the Prem and La Liga Player of the Year and Europe's top goalscorer. But the sh1t sandwiches that Gareth served us during the group stages changed our perception of the team.
Many of us no longer expected to progress beyond the quarters.
During the Slovakia game, I'd already made peace with being knocked out, until that Jude miracle moment.
From then on, every single moment has been a bonus. Win or lose, England have exceeded my expectation but the resilience that England have shown in coming back from losing positions has made me believe again!
If we win...it'll be amazing... if we lose, fair play... Spain has been the best team so far, no shame in that.
But come Sunday, at least we get to support our country in another major Final... which is more than what a lot of England haters can do.
No debate, Spain ARE the favourites but England are no minnows... and what ever has happened in the tournament prior to this Final is irrelevant now... whether that be Spain playing beautiful football and scoring sh1tloads of goals, or England boring everyone to death.

IT'S NEVER COMING HOME(even though it would be interesting to see England bring it home)
Spain is the better team, but England just has so many great players that can find a goal when they need one. Hopefully Spain scores early and England has to play attacking ball
Walker having good positioning? I don't know about that one, chief.
I’m sure the neutrals will be supporting sunny Spain but hopefully England can bring some of that early 90’s Gooner spirit choke the game and get one on the break and be cheering one nil to the England by the end of ninety minutes 😉
England doesn't deserve to even be in that place they are, now let's just watch them win and be the most undeserving winner since 2016
If England wins
Southgate probably stays but idk.
Saka and possibly Palmer go up in Ballon D'or estimations
Kane wins his first trophy locking a top 8 spot and Mainoo makes the 30 I think.
If Spain wins
Rodri finishes top 5 maybe even the podium
Yamal first trophy
Carvajal could be top 15 and
Joselu and Nacho complete near-perfect seasons
Good luck to both teams of course 🔥🔥
If England win euros Bellingham wins Ballon D'or, because he is a champions league winner, and euro winner
Rodri deserves a balloon d or in his career, it would be very unfair if he doesn't get it, what a player.
@TechnicalDom I think Bellingham has pretty much won that already because his other competitors; Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. dropped out of the race pretty much.
@saiyerugara9038 yeah true
@carmenvalmalaartaraz8260 agreed but the team who wins champions league that season gets basically a gareented chance of winning Ballon D'or
Spain, of course
For me Spain has the highest chance to win that Final. They overcame Germany in front of his public.Boosted by that victory they knock out another Favourite of the tournament ,France.Their moral are very strong now and it will difficult for victory to escape them.
But a Final remains a final.Remember Euro 2016 Portugal was rated 1 -10 against France in the Final who was playing in front of his public.(Portugal did win a single match before the Final whereas France won all his matches).History has shown that the strongest team do not always win😌.
