    Nice video showing how easy it is to save marigold seeds and grow new plants every year at no additional cost. I live in a dry climate, so I do leave my spent flowers on the plant a bit longer. They're a great plant to have in the vegetable garden as they deter a lot of pests and are so pretty, too!

    In Mexico, we just bury the whole flower head so none get lost. 🏵️

      Just so I'm understanding correctly: when the pod dries out and is ready to to harvested from the plant, you would put that whole seed pod in the ground? Wouldn't that be too many flowers growing from the same spot? I'm honestly curious to learn more about this method :)

    • @GardeningWise
      @GardeningWise  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello there,
      Yes you can pull them out if they are not flowering anymore. They are grown as annuals so they won't survive the winter.
      Thanks for watching.

    You didn't show close ups of good seeds. It would also help to show an example of immature seeds. I've got some from people that were paper thin unviable seeds & they seemingly don't understand what that means. Told me that marigold seeds are tough. Being tough & being immature is totally different things. She just sent me chaff because immature marigold seeds will not make a plant no matter how 'tough' marigold seeds are.
