  • Here’s a brief walk through on how to give your car a different and unique look with the Hood Pin Appearance Kit I found on EBay. I only paid 6$ after a 5$ coupon and it was delivered within a week. 5 minute install! 👏🏻

I’d spray with a clear coat to the meal part before they tend to rust and or change color over time

If the cable is too loose you don't need to use the extension cable in the kit just go direct with the longer cable for a tighter fit...good job on the install 👍

Just a heads up the end of the pin should always Point inward so when you release them you're pulling them out word towards the wheel

I'm about to do this on my drag car. I've always liked how good pins looked never wanted drill into my hood because of rust and water.

Never had a problem with my 12 year old Ram Express 4x4 shortbed single cab. No rust ,no problems. Why put something as fake as that on a car.

@@JackFrost-xb9yzfor the old school looks. Not everybody wants to drill into their hood. It’s the same exact concept as to why a lot of factory cars have fake vents.

I drilled my '08 charger it looked cool but there's know way I'm doing on my 20 daytona. I'm going this route definitely. A bit of advice them cables are total ass the wear out, rust, and scratch paint over time.

I’m curios as to if people know that hood pins go through the hood and these are the same concept as fake vents

Doesn’t the pin just get out of place when driving the car? I bought the exact same hood pins and they are too loose

What if they come unstuck? then your hood will fly up and break your windshield.

LOL 😂, FAKE hoodpins??? I bought my shortbed, single cab 4x4 Express Ram HEMI and within a month took it to a body shop and had them paint the top of the hood Matt Black and they made custom brackets with real hood pins. And you can buy top quality cables from Detroit Muscle. 12 years later and they still look awesome.

If your car was fast enough you wouldn’t need fake ones
