    Can’t get better than the draper plastic hawk. 22 years at this game. Best hawk ever. 10er on Amazon 👌

      Completely agree, I had the really thin one you get in screwfix, after my van and tools got nicked I got a plastic but chunky one from the dry lining place in windlesham, light as a feather. Would never get a stainless steel one again

    Shape of that handle you will have to watch out for the electrician "borrowing" it

    I had a lot of wrist pain untill i got this pal through trying to keep the hawk level when doing the bottoms of the wall.. This has solved it by lowering the angle needed.. Took a while to get used of not spinning it but worth it to be pain free.

      That's a good purpose for it that I didn't really get chance to test as I only did the ceilings. Fair enough glad it's helping!

      @@ryanseeley to be fair i wouldn't have kept it apart from solving the wrist pain.. Defo think its over priced also...

    I have the pointing one & find it totally brilliant for controlling the mortar, thanks to its angled edge. But the plastering variation seems like a bit of an after-thought.

    I’m also a spinner - was taught to use all four sides of the hawk for efficiency. Imagine if accidentally handle it the ‘wrong way’ you create more strain of your wrist than If it was just a regular design 👎

    • @ryanseeley
      @ryanseeley  Před 2 lety

      Yeah, it's very restrictive and not at all as efficient and a standard hawk! #spinnergang

    Hi great video. I’m not convinced about that hawk. I think I’m gonna be sticking with my marshalltown Hawk.

    Did you use it for pointing? I.e. what it's meant for

    • @ryanseeley
      @ryanseeley  Před rokem

      No, they do make a smaller one for pointing, but this one is sold as a plastering hawk and it's much bigger than the regular pointing hawk

      Poor Nickelback, I actually don't mind them either. They have become the default butt of the joke band somehow 😂
