    This Trucking Game may not be a view from inside the cab, but it's the most realistic physics that a truck makes where you get to understand how to truck operates in reverse. American Truck Simulator (ATS)and European Trucking Simulator 2 (ETS2) are the best trucking games that you get, and I recommend that you play them, but my game is created for people to just get used to reversing a trailer.
    I have heard from so many users that truck schools across the country use my game and use my videos to show their students how to back up.

    Your videos are amazing. Always interesting and full of useful tips.
    I am not a driver (only ets2) but my fav ones so far that I always use:
    - When starting backing, keep the steer straight to see how the trailer behaves and then adjust
    - When backing to straighten up and using the mirrors, similar to the "everything is opposite", steer towards the "problem" aka the mirror where you can see the trailer
    - Your awesome quote, WHEN IN DOUBT, GET OUT :p
    - the 12/9 rule for getting in position to back to a dock
    thanks for the time you invest in making these :)

    My one stipulation for Trucker Path: I use it daily, and it still gets it wrong sometimes. There are plenty of facilities with many entrances that are for first responders or employees only, and these can be flagged as the truck entrance on the app. As always, the easiest solution is to take a good look at your destination before leaving and make your best assessment. If you have a number for the facility, you can always call ahead and clarify.

    I've had to do a few of these ones. It's kind of scary because as you enter that lot, you don't know what obstacles are there, and where they are. I know I know . . . one might say "just back up out of there". . . problem is though, that if you have cars behind you that are ALSO entering, what do they do ?. . . they ALWAYS get right on your bumper and tailgate you as you go in. Many times as I'm doing my setup [and YES I have my 4-way flashers on], I find I have to set my brakes and get out to tell the guy to backup and/or go around because I'm going to that dock there [gesturing to dock]. . . then they get all upset you're making them wait 30 seconds of their precious day *eyeroll*

    Have you done anything on trailers with rear steering axels? the extra swing of the rear is quite a thing. any advice?

    • @MyTruckingSkills
      @MyTruckingSkills  Před 2 lety +2

      No I haven't. 99% of my career was 2axle dry van.

    • @Paulwhittingham
      @Paulwhittingham Před 2 lety +1

      You need to be wary of 'getting close' to something in order to maximise swing room. When you suddenly turn the unit hard the rear of the trailer will kick out quite a bit more than you expect. I recall driving across the front of a row of parked trailers and whipping the unit round ready to back into a space and the rear of the trailer actually clipped the front of the one next to the space. That came as a shock to me, lesson learnt. Even in fairly tight spaces a rear steer trailer will rotate the back axles far quicker than a standard so I got into the habit of setting up more or less in the middle of a space rather than trying to get close on the drive side then turning hard to set up.

    I downloaded your game for 10 dollars. The cdl parallel parking practice is going to make the difference on my next test attempt. I don't think I have access to this sort of stuff do I? Also, I was wondering why you would drive close to the cars first thus allowing the possibility for the trailer to swipe something back in your blind spots? Why not come in with the tractor as far to the outside of the lot as possible, so you can negotiate around the cars while they are in front of you, and the back of the trailer would only be swinging over the back side of the lot nowhere near any obstacles?

    Not an easy back at all. Man, i can’t imagine a newer driver attempting to take on this back. Not that it happens, but i think companies should give heads up to the drivers on such difficult backing scenarios. Maybe recommend them to this channel/video? Or maybe have like a printout/blueprint on how to get it done. For newer drivers, extremely difficult backs like this need some explaining to do. Great video btw🚛😎

They could even charge more for drivers to have access to your backing videos to all of the particular scenarios. What game is this?

    On trucker path app I checked this location to see and the app shows the truck entrance at the wrong entrance. Nothing to do with you obviously but it's clearly not the right entrance which gives me a lot less confidence in the app

      A driver just have given the wrong information. Oh well, we all make mistakes.

      The app is great, but the information is provided by drivers, so if there is wrong info you can suggest an update for the info and correct it.

      @@Bendigo1 Yes, Ive heard that. That's really good. I've also heard some drivers will put parking lots are full when they are not. It would be nice if things like that were tracked and those children weren't allowed to use those features

      @@HeliFly1987 I have seen that too. Usually someone will correct it. It shows how much lack of respect people hav for others. I do see cases where if there are 2 stops next to each other, one may say full because someone clicked the wrong stop. It happens alot with the weigh station status. They will be on nb when they mean to show sb status.

    I think the easiest way to see is to forget that you are a human, and that you are driving a truck.... Just clear your mindz and see yourself as snake with a snake body and moving like a snake.

    Yer, the disadvantage between this game overhead view and real-life trucking is that you're down on the ground in a real-world truck with only 3 windows and two rear-view mirrors, and only visibility of about 200 out of 360° of the circle at any one time. Trucking is not a millennial game.
