Of all the tutorials I've watched (and found on Pinterest), yours is the best for sure! I can't wait to try these!! Have/could you make something to contain a set of 4 or 6? Living in the NW where everything is naturally rustic, these will be perfect Christmas gifts for anyone. Not too feminine or masculine. Woot woot!
Thank you very much for the great compliment Dana! As far as holding a bunch of them, you could make a "wooden rack" out of the Popsicle sticks, but what I do is stack them up then just rotate each one just a little bit. It adds an interesting look.
Brandon Lund thanks so much! I picked up my supplies tonight and my husband and I are doing this project together. I'm just now sitting down to try/practice assembly. And yes... I'll post the finished product. Thanks Brandon. 😊
Awesome Dana! I'm looking forward to seeing them!
They are done! The stain I used was a little dark, but only makes them look even more realistic. Also, I thought while we're at it let's try it with tongue depressors. They turned out awesome. So of course I want to post photo's with my comment but I don't see the option to. How should I go about that?
Dana Edmonds That is awesome! I'm glad I could help! CZcams won't allow pictures in the comments, but if you go to my facebook page "Brandon Lund DIY builds" or clink the facebook page link on my CZcams Channel or the link below, you can post directly there. I love seeing peoples projects!

That's so awesome! When they're all piled together, they actually look like real pallets!
Thanks Jennifer! When my aunt first saw them she told my mother I should have put felt on the bottom so the nails dont scratch 🤣🤣🤣
drawing the nails in...a nice touch
Thanks! My aunt suggested i put felt on the bottom so the nails didn't scratch the table. I guess they passed the test lol
Awesome Brandon! Can’t wait to make these!!!

+Mikhandmaker Thanks! and thanks for the support!
Those look awesome!
+Carson Jensen Thanks buddy! I recently had someone pick one of them up and say "you should really put felt on the back, so those nails don't damage your table". That was music to my ears. Thanks for watching man
Every DIYer should have a set of these. I think they would also make good Stocking Stuffers this Christmas.
William Ward I love that idea! I'm sure other will also! Thank you!
What did you do with that cloth after you cut the depressors?
I used it to wipe on a thin layer of stain on the depressors.
Excellent just EXCELLENT! what did you spray at the end?
That was just some clear enamel I had left over from other projects. It should help protect the coasters for a while :)
What did you spray on them at the end? Would these be ok for heat?
Just some clear lacquer...we set our coffee cups on them with no problem.

what did you spray them with at the end?
+Christopher Clarke I had a used can of automotive clear coat sitting around so I used that to seal them.
+Brandon Lund very nice ...what type of stain did you use for that effect?
+Christopher Clarke I started out with wiping on Golden Oak being careful not to put it on too heavy. Then once it was completely together I used dark walnut with a brush.
+Brandon Lund nice! im gonna try it out :) very cool videos by the way! fan from Barbados!
+Christopher Clarke Thanks and watching and make sure you attach a picture of them when your done!
