I have a pair of these and they sound really good for their price. This MDF chassis design has a lot of potential and can even be modified into a true full range pair of speakers that can be flat from 20Hz to 20kHz if one has access to excellent components such as suitable aluminium/beryllium tweeters, well damped 4 inch aluminium mid drivers, 8 inch well damped aluminium subwoofer drivers and custom, user configurable DSP chipset and amplifiers to match.
Well that's impossible, a single 8" driver can't even go down to 20 Hz... Lowest I've seen is around 25 - 28 Hz, and that was in a massive enclosure.
I had owned an edifier s760d 5.1 speakers. The satelite was burned at maximum volume (60) in less than 1 minute. They were connected optically from my computer (sound card is creative 0880 titanium). Hopefully I didn't rise the volume at boost 6 couse probably they turned into a fire :))) crap speakers. I bought a Harman kardon 5.1 avr161s and a set of speakers taga Harmony tav-506 + an active subwoofer from them tsw-120. For the price that I've paid they are awesome. The sound didn't compare at all with the edifier. 3 steps forward. Bought second hand for only 210 dollars.

I like edifier alot, but the only thing i hate about them is that they use non removeable cables, iam a person who moves around his speakers alot so fixed cables is always a big no for me since i always end up taking apart the device to solder in new wires, with some cheap terminals it saves me alot of work to switch cables to fix them or seperate the speakers a bit more/ hang them on a wall etc

Why do they have separate enclosure for the mid-range ?
Hope people consider the price when watching these videos. I have the 2730b and they are not build as good as this one. My left midrange box leak. There is zero stuffing. Having problems with the optical and the volume. But they for that price they are ok.
Which is best pc speaker among edifier, creative, microlab and logitech in your expert opinion!?
depends on the budget
Edifier is better with stereo seperation, their 2.1 speakers have a crossover at around 100hz/80hz just like hifi speakers, logitech has their crossover at around 150hz this makes the logitechs worse with stereo imaging since the subwoofer isnt only just playing bass but also partly the voice/vocals that should actually go trough the satelite speaker, since logitech likes to cheap out on their satelites they dont let any midbass trough the satelites making them sound weak as if it is only a midrange/tweeter.
Same story for microlab and creative, just as cheaply made as the logitechs
For better quality sound with good quality vocals/strong deep bass and stereo image :Edifier wins
For cheap but decent quality sound with bad stereo image and focus on midrange without tweeter but strong deep bass: Logitech / Creative / Microlab finish last
Sound system usage: Edifier for all types of music, watching movies, watching tv, gaming
Logitech: Music type more focus on bass/ electronic music Jazz sounds to boomy/ singing vocals sound a bit harsh mostly midrange focus without depth midbass to boomy
Good for movies watching tv, fun for gaming but not optimal since it has bad stereo image mostly noticeable in FPS games
Same goes for Creative and Microlab
As other have said: Logitech is best option if you are on a budget and want 2.1 sound, and Edifier is best if you can spare some extra money and want 2.1 or 2.0
I think that Edifier is still the best option for a 2.0 stereo set without subwoofer when compared to most other brands.
To be honest, if you go for a 2.0 setup just buy Some bookshelf speaker from around 100 euros/ dollar a pair plus buy cheap quality amp from Aiyima/dayton audio/ AV receiver from somy/pioneer if you need hdmi outputs etc it wil be much better than any computer speaker out there
Всем привет есть кто понимает какие кондексаторы можно поставить в r2800. 2 вздулись одна калонка стала играть слобее. Вздулись 25в на 220 синии. В кондексаторах я 0 непонимаю можно любой такойже или всеже есть что лучше ? Очень буду признателен кто знает
Можно один такой по параметрам идентичный к оригиналу, но лучше рекомендовал бы поменять оба а новых одинаковых и фирмой получше чем самые дешёвые на рынке

Como recomendación por experiencia personal nunca hagan eso de abrir un parlante, nunca mas suenan igual, ya que los tornillos por general están sobre el mdf o plástico y al ensamblar nunca vuelven a presionar y sellar con la misma fuerza la caja del parlante, por lo cual pierden calidad.
Se los comento porque me paso con unos pionner ya que los desarmaba para limpiarlos por la acumulación de polvo, ya que las rejillas debían removerse con tornillos.

Hi,
I hate the gap between the speakers and the front covers bcz it allows cockroaches to lay eggs, bite, cut and destroy the speakers. Try to keep 0 gap between speaker cover and the speaker body. And provide a cap for the subwoofer port hole /aero/ventilator so that any cockroaches can't enter the sub.
This is my msg to the speaker manufacturers. Hope any of them notice this. In shaa Alla[a]h.
Play a subwoofer test to make the bugs run away :P
