I find it so satisfying to watch someone do work on their property and cleaning up down trees
It sure makes it look better when its all done.
Being in the woods with nature is very soothing to ones soul
Yesssss
Andrew, That John Deer with the grapple sure saves you a lot of time
That grapple is a game changer.
Helo Andrew, I enjoy your videos our in your forrest. I will be following along as you deal with the trees and clearing the trails. I'm off now to watch your live stream. Take care and Happy Fall 🍁🎃🍂🧡
What a awesome score with the power poles! You can make a lot of mulch with the tops of them trees.
Yes I can
Heck ya free power poles. 👍🏽 they always come in handy. Back grapple still cracks me up knowing how big and heavy it is for your tractor but it works awesome 💪🏽💪🏽
I'm shocked what I can still lift with it.
Good deal on getting those power poles! What a score! Catch you tonight on the livestream at 7PM EST! Love my TKCL Family!!
See you then
Boy oh boy what a time and back saver that grapple is and those power poles will be fantastic corner posts you can put a coat of tar on the portion that goes into the ground and they will outlast you your making great gains on the mess the storm gave you
Yes sir happy to have the grapple and posts.
I saw some power poles being replaced yesterday and I was wishing I could get my hands on them too.
Light poles make excellent corner post. We used them on my grandfather's farm when fencing it as a teen. They absolutely suck to install but that's maybe because we installed full length poles as deep as we could get them. They where still there long after he was gone and his wifes family sold the land last I seen from google earth.
They sure do last
Hey Andrew, you should carry those logs out instead of skidding them. Skidding them will fill the bark with dirt and debris, making them less desirable for fire wood!
Agreed but I can only carry about a 7ft wide log out in several places.
Good day all.
Good day
@@TKCL It is.
Awesome video. Great content. 🤠
Great snag on those poles! With so many uprooted trees, have you considered (or do you like) the tables, yard art and various items you can make using the roots? Goggle it sometime and maybe get some cool ideas. Enjoy your day you 2 and have a great Livestream💜💜💜
Never really seen it around here, I'll ha e to lick a few projects and go for it.
When the property needs a little care, you sure know how to 'treed' it.... 🙂
Hi, Andrew! Mr. Thinker Tinkerer, a part of your success is your planning ahead and being prepared. You and Tiffany deserve the best.
Thank you
Those power poles will sure come in handy when you start fencing in your pastures! See you tonight on the live!😊🤗😊
Yes they will
Andrew those telephone poles will make great fence posts
Yes they will
@@TKCL my dad said you just saved $100/post if bought something similar at the store. Plus they'll last far longer.
Reed's in Vermont: great prices on Igland winches. Best price I could find.
I've looked at a lot of brands, thinking about trying a unknown brand because the price is right!
Surprise us! 😃
Great score on the power poles! My Dad used railroad ties. They made perfect corner posts and braces.
Those are great too
Great idea to use broken power poles for some livestock fencing.
Love the woods. Hey also those poles will definitely come in handy for your property. Love watching y’all.
They sure will
we use a regular chain to pull logs out of the woods. do you have Tiffany check with you on the phone to make sure you are alright off and on. doing a good job young man and the help from ruger. with love. SAVANNAH TN.
When doing something dangerous I'll have her stay in contact with me. Take care!
Instead of a skidding winch what about an inexpensive harbor freight winch on your truck receiver or a homemade 3 pt mount?
I've seen a few people build those. They are very slow and put odd torque and angles on attachment points. Plus the battery does not last long.
Tiffany & Andrew congratulations on hitting the 111k subscribers mark ‼️
Thank you
Hi Andrew you sure have a mess to get through. The power poles for fence post was a great deal to get and will save you a fortune down the road. Good luck with the clean up and take care. ❤️❤️👍👍🇨🇦
Great find!
Andrew the poles are great for corner post. I like using log thongs while skidding timber myself. If later you decide on building a corral for sorting or doctorin them cows. The power poles and old gaurd rails work well together
I'm kicking around a skidding winch purchase.
I think your favorite knot to pull those cut tree's out of the woods will be a timber hitch you could probably pull out 3 at the same time with the tractor, slow and steady gets the job done 👍
Im seriously considering a skidding winch.
Am just looking at costs 👍
Me too, but I found one for a killer price that I am considering. 🤔
A farm I work on has a Farmi skidding winch and I have put many hours on it, it is awesome. (I don't know if they break the bank or not though 😂)
They are pricey...
I like that recycling or repurposing
Saves money and waste
Do you have a wood chipper, it would be handy to have to make some chips to have once you get serious about gardening:))) Ruger wants to play with heavy machines as well, LOL
Yes we do, I'll be putting it to use.

@@5150cash 👍👍
Nice clean up. Lots of work. Are you going to build a log skidder for your tractor, or just buy one?
I'm seriously thinking about buying one, I found one for a great price.
Dove lines???? JK that will be in next years video
I hope so, want to get that done.
How long are your poles you got? Those will make great corner and gate post !!
They vary from 8-16ft
Can you drag the larger trees out?
Yes, but they still must be cut down to make, some turns.
Stupid question, Andrew. What’s that in your ear at 8:56. Is it an ear plug or Bluetooth music? I have bad tinnitus and always looking for good ear protection. Thanks in advance.
I always have ear buds in playing music or a podcast.
The utility company I worked at before we would cut them up and take them back to the yard. Then we had a guy who would burn them.
We've got a local place that grinds them. Pure waste in my opinion.
@TKCL I've been doing a lot of research in wood pellets, mainly for heat. I found out that it easy to make them, and you can make pellets out of anything organic. So they can be made out of grass and leaves that are easy to get a hold of.
Those utility poles that are green are good ones. It’s the dark brown ones that were treated with creosote and have a tar like substance on them are the ones you have to be cautious of. You should have no problems getting enough poles to build your fence line with the amount of pole’s having to be replaced in the region from the storm.
don’t let the creosote scare you away from using them…just don’t get the dust on your skin when you cut them it feels like the worst sunburn you’ve ever had.
I purposely picked the green ones because I could tell they were relatively new.
why don't you get a tree chipper and use all those limps has much for your garden
I do have one and will run it again soon.

You need a small bulldozer. Best investment I ever made for clearing. Please stay safe dealing with all that twisted timber.
Too many needs and not enough money 😂
