My favorite suburban is the 73 GT 18 twin painted black frame no hood but the dash was silver, I found going to the scrap yard 20 yrs ago.and at that time I was heavily into garden pulling tractors, and you guessed it I sorta restored it to the point of almost finished stock look. This is a heavy duty tractor the 6 speed hi and low range gearbox is impressive.i got it for the price of scrape I paid 20 bucks for it brought it home put a car battery in it alil squirt of gas and she fired right up. I was in love. The sound of the onan was heaven so I totally rebuilt it I also added a oil filter reloacation unit. Still 18 hp but not the 48 ci now 50. I had a local machine shop sleeve it,so I would never have to worry about it separating cause of over revving. This motor is so balanced that it practically has no vibration I had to add a motorcycle tach so I could make sure it wouldn't over rev.( over rev more then 2500 rpm ) the club that I pull in runs there rpm range to 4000,,,but I know that would separate it.i changed the drive pulley from a 6 1/2 to a 8 in.so now I can run 3rd gear as if it was 2nd gear in hi range.i made a hood for it out of fiberglass and kevlar, with 8mil stainless steel panels as if it would separate it wont go far. I also made side panels with the same stuff the tractor got a total remake about 4 years ago it's now painted white and black with skulls and ghost flames and is a crowded favorite at pulls for its 2 air filter and its twin pipes sticking out of the hood scooped home made hood that's called FREAK SHOW me and the tractor wiegh in at 1200 pounds to pull 7500 pounds for a total distance of 230.ft . I now have 2 other suburbans SS10,ST 16 TWIN.The ss10 is totally rebuilt as stock with the deck and roto tiller out back the st 16 is a twin and rebuilt and restored to plow the snow on my street.it didnt have a deck just came with a blade. Wish there was a way I could send pictures. Fan and subscriber for life
Nice bunch of tractors! I wish i could locate one of those old sears mowers. Id say my unicorn tractor is my 98 mtd lowes team racing edition , 18 hp twin with 4 wheel steering. Looking forward to more vids in '22!
So awesome to reflect on that show! It was a great weekend and it sounds like I need to revive the yellow 18 hydro for the show this year! Sure was a show to remember
I love to see your videos. There is a show coming up here in North Carolina this June. If you're going to be traveling you could come to North Carolina. Lol
I have one of these Sears Suburban Tractors that I would like to sell. Can someone please tell me what it might be worth? It is not in running order and has not run since the early 80's I guess. Its blue with orange wheels. It has 3 vent sections on each side of the hood. Thanks!
I have 2 SS/16 Twin tractors from the early 70s. Very similar, but not exactly like the one in the queen of hearts picture at 1:05 in this vid. One runs sort of (I'm still trouble-shooting it) and the other does not. Each has a mower deck, snow blower, wheel weights, and tire chains. One has a snow plow and the other a garden plow. What's a fair price for these with all of the implements?

Depends on location. About $350 for the runner and $200 for the non-runner, a lot more if you separate.
how can I identify the hp of my engine >>--it's an original b&s ..on a 1975 (i think) suburban
