GREAT team work guys!! Andrea and Omar, roof looks wonderful. Manel is a cutie and looks like a 70's rocker! Does Josh, or Manel also do furniture repair and painting? I have a Louis XIV bedroom set in pretty good shape (no wood bug infest and structurally sound) that just needs sanding, painting and wood filler here and there. For last 5 years having a heck of a hard time finding a qualified person to do a good job without having to mortgage my home. Could u ask then Andrea and let me know? I Google his business but it does not show up on my FB. I hope you and family are doing well and carrying on. Thx so much & a huge hug. XOXO♥️🌹

Wow the roof looks so beautiful, it must've been a challenge doing the asymmetric tiles for the rearside. The five of you did incredible work getting it done.
Absolutely, the room is in a shape of a parallelogram so the roof was really difficult to get. We didn’t want to make any of the outer walls straight as it would have made the room smaller.’plus if the wall is in a good shape, why knock it down? We discussed it for many days how to meet in the top and one side came up straight and the other side had to meet on an angle. I should have mentioned it. It was quite challenging! So I’m very glad you noticed and made this comment. Thank you!

Thank you Melinda! Hope you are well! Treated wood is very expensive here so we get it green and then add treatment. Here is known as Cuprinol but that’s just the brand. Another brand is xylophene. This is a preventative treatment.
@@TheIndigoEscape Yeah, I know all about preventative! But when Carpenter Ants move in.......😈🤬😡 I had alot of damage. My Terminex (bug guy) had dropped me 2 months before and I didn't notice! Yeah, I've been doing demolition and reconstruction my self!! It tears your gut up bc you can't get another bug guy until all this is fixed!! But hey, it's better than a lost limb! 🙏❤🇺🇸🇵🇹⛵👣🤗🤙 And I do still have a house and growing veggies! Y'all take care and stay safe! XX

I love your lifestyle & the videos. the only thing is it is always hard to find the latest video. if they were numbered 1 to 100 or whatever we could find them easier. It takes me ages to get the next one. I think we have all learned from these videos. what a great team with great working spirit - they make it look like fun, professional fun. Too bad they are not in our region in Germany: we need a new roof for our winter garden 😊.
Please use a file and sharpen those chisels. When you do the multi cut for removing a cut out, place then chisel in the center slot and lean against either side. You will see they pop out easily and you’ll have much less to chisel out and plane.
Beautiful tiles but wondering how much insulation is provided by the product you used. The insulation in the USA is much thicker. How cold does it get in Portugal where you live? Also great workshop!

@@TheIndigoEscape Unfrogtunately woodworm can enter wood through tiniest of cracks and even somehow it enters through lacquered surfaces. My expensive lacquered furniture that I inherited in the house is being destroyed by woodworm and we are at a loss trying to stop it, but it continues on. I received a treatment plan and cost of over €3500 and am sad to realize I can't afford it. The company who does treatment has a list of references and all of them are their past jobs at libraries, churches, schools and other places but not a single private home. €3500 may as well spend on roof replacement, but not with wood this time. So the only option is to enjoy it while it lasts or throw it away into as bon fire... And the roof area is all infested with woodworm hopelessly, so all we can do is hope the roof lasts for another several years while we try to save money for a complete roof replacement. It is sad, but I no longer trust anything made of wood. And in this crisis it is a double blow, along with high food prices, loss of income and now woodworm etc. Yet you DIY right and you can replace it DIY again at a low cost.

If the original work is lime mortar it will cause problems.
Woodworm can eat the wood trusses. Any alternatives such as steel or alüminium?
Everything was treated against woodworm, although after time it will need retreating if we are wanting to avoid woodworm!
