Am now 67. First heard this song in 1973. Mr. Leigh my high school physics teacher was playing it. In 1975 1st year at Uni I bought this live album in cassette form. Played it all through my years at Uni. Great band and brings back great memories of my undergrad days.

Classic rock stations puzzle me. They seem to play the same 10 or 20 bands over and over, but don't play stuff like this.
To me, this is real classic rock....

ROCK STATIONS IN THE 70s PLAYED THIS SONG...quite often...I always thought the DJ took a break...had dinner...etc. NOW...it's just about what bands they want to keep in the public eye...even the classic rock stations...if the band isn't touring. It's all about out of sight...out of mind. Nobody looks for 'basement tapes' anymore. They just don't care!!!

Eddie Guzman on congas and percussion, his cave man look was oh so cool, the late Mark Olson on keyboards and last but certainly not least Ray Monette on guitars. What an awesome band. Keep on rocking men as we love your music to the hilt!

This was my first ever album bought at the age of 12 entirely with my own self-earned cash - mostly from several paper routes! "Get Ready" - one of the best known guitar riffs of all time - luvvittt!! Guaranteed to fill any dance floor or get even the most static party going full bore. Just sent the link to my 14 year old son (yep, I started family late!) - who I rate as a pretty hot bass guitarist - as one of the great examples of rock improvisation of our time. Listening to it now transported me straight back to when I was his age - what a thing to be able to share with our kids. Great reading all your positive posts folks, although those that told of attending live concerts made me green with envy - having grown up during the zenith of apartheid in South Africa, which saw us starved of international artists until the 90's. Vinyl kept our hopes alive and fed our souls. Thanks for the post Mr Snookies - rock on!

this song has it all. Awesome bass solo, drum solo, sax solo, guitar solo with great screaming wah, keyboards - you cannot help but tap your foot and rock out as you remember how you used to crank this song on the first nice day of the year out of the speakers of your oversized stereo system that you placed in the windows so you could listen to it as you sat on the front steps of your college dorm drinking a cold one and watching all the girls go by. Yes, this song grooves.
