Must be something about the dynamics of the car that would make it impractical for even an expert driver to drive it faster than its programmed speed limit. Semi trucks pulling loads, probably with a weaker engine, regularly go above 80mph, unless limited to lower.

They are wrong about the engine its a 6.6turbo diesel 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque and im sure they have made the engine way more powerful.

The 6.5L diesel was a detroit engine used by GM in the 80s up through the early 2000s. The duramax diesel is a 6.6L, not a 6.5L. Yes they made the mini duramax (3.0L) but that would definitely not be in this car.
the most recent one has a 6.5 with a duramax top end... the 6.6L is just a 6.5L with the cylinders punched out .015 over. Same block between them.

@@hockeh9230 6.5 is indeed a detroit, and yes, that detroit block will still accept a duramax timing cover and top end allowing the 32 valve conversion. I will admit I failed to mention the ECM and wiring swap, but as far as the engine goes, you wind up with an 18.3:1 compression ratio block with the duramax heads.
Only other major difference is manufacturer. I'm going from AM General to Chevy, instead of the Chevy 6.5 block
