Raag Megh janyam of 10th KAAFEE THAAT தாட் ताट. Corresponding Carnatic Raagam is Madhyamaavati janyam of Melakarta number 22 Kharaharapriya. Excellent group. Oh so beautiful! Maa chamke bijuria asthayi is a Gwalior Gharana special, I had first heard this bandish rendered by Pandit Balwant Rai Bhatt who was a student of Pandit Omkarnath Thakur at BHU Vishwanath temple. Later in IIT Kanpur, Pandit Kashinath Bodas also use to sing this very fondly.
It’s most difficult to find words to find these young artists. They are still young with the whole future ahead of them and I can’t imagine what height of greatness they will reach. Good luck to everyone of them. Blessings from London.

When, at the beginning of a monsoon, a cloud perches on the peak, he asks it to Deliver a Message to his love in the Himalayan city of Alaka. Most of the poem, composed in an extremely graceful metre, consists of a description of the landmarks, cities, and sights on the cloud’s journey to Alaka. Meghaduta inspired Friedrich Schiller’s play Maria Stuart.
