- Welcome to another video, where we SCUBA - and free dive the breathtaking bio diverse reefs of Wadi el Gemal National Park, around Gorgonia resort.
We have visited the house reefs around the resort, also around Shams Alam resort. We also went on excursion to the Hamata Islands (aka Egyptian Maldives) and Marsa Egla (aka Dugong bay).
Video was shot on the DJI osmo pocket 2 underwater (4K 60fps). This video is not a review, but may show the great capabilities of this camera.
really super ,
Amazing diving sites and your work!
Thanks!
Traumhaft❤ Vielen Dank!!!
Thanks!!
Salam. I've had my Pocket 2 for a year, shoot bands and music here in USA...MARTY SENDER YOU TUBE. this is first time i've seen Pocket video underwater. EXCELLENT man. give u LIKE
you used the underwater casing DJI sells? rsvp
absolutely first class FAbian. Pocket does great underwater with 20mm wide lens and video is fantastic
Yes! I used the original case! Watch out, there is an o-ring inside, keep that clean and lubricated otherwise the case can leak water. Also close the lid tight. I took it to 30 meters at the Hamata islands and no issues!
Was the diving at Wadi Gemal, or Marsa Alam. I think they are about 2 hrs driving distance ??
Very nice colors, did you use a specific white balance with the osmo?
Thanks! This is just on auto setting, with highest possible quality (4k 60fps for smooth slo mo). The white balance is auto, but in Premiere I added a red filter, of which I could adust the intensity per depth (as in shallow water a red filter is not needed) I also used an underwater video light from ali express, that is perhaps the best reasons for all the colors especially for the macro shots.
@@Fabian46838 could u tell us the light you used from aliexpress? and did yu use the light during the day time?
@@lz9976 Yes the light was very strong and especially in deeper water on closer distances all the color returns when the light shines it.. it was something similar to this:
m.nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005002952554657.html?spm=a2g0n.productlist.0.0.5952Gi7DGi7DpX&browser_id=5db1c8da3a784d419d14cb207d3c535f&aff_trace_key=a37fa527ccdb488a8ea7cdc0e6f1bfe6-1654805134693-03722-UneMJZVf&aff_platform=msite&m_page_id=sdzkf4ayl1ccadvm182e15b8907226b8de91143891&gclid=&pdp_npi=2%40dis%21EUR%2165.83%2146.08%21%21%21%21%21%402100bdd816616382488237100ee383%2112000022935180244%21sea&curPageLogUid=RsmrAgwNYRF2&algo_pvid=a263ae7c-7a29-4a8f-ac2b-76c83a88a7a6
Hi lovely video ..which housing did you use ?Thanks.
Thanks! I used the standard (dji underwater housing). Treat it with care though! It is known to leak as it only has one O-ring. Keep it well lubricated and check for dirt or dust or hairs everytime before closing the case! And close tightly! I took mine to 40 meters without an issue! At this dept the pressure was so high i could not press any buttons as haha
Hi , nice video ,
Can u provide us with the agency u went with or any one can help me do freediving in wadi elgemal
Hi, thanks! It was at Gorgonia resort (TGI diving school!)
which underwater housing did you use for osmo pocket 2?
I used the standard housing. The trick is to keep it clean (especially the O-ring). Check it for hairs and sand every time and it should be waterproof. I have taken it to 45meters and often to 30 meters.
did you attach any physical filters to the osmo (i.e. red light filter) or did u just adjusted colours in any editor program? my colours are always too blue when i dive..
No physical filters were attached. However, I made some colour corrections in adobe premiere. You can enhance the red and magenta in the colour wheels, that improves colour. Most important perhaps (especially in deep water) are video lights. Cheap ones from Ali express can do the job and make heaps of difference!
