Thyme warp is actually pretty decent when they’re paired with cherry bomb. You basically get to clear 60% of the map

honestly thyme warp would be the best plant in the game if it were allowed in all worlds. it's basically hurrikale on crack, even with it's slow recharge you could stall zombies almost indefinitely with it, if paired with plants like chard. And like you said, the healing wouldn't matter if you have good plants like cherry bomb and primal potato that instantly kills them anyways
@@paul_particularlyunhappynut I think it needs a rework, 250 cost for pushing all zombies to the end of the track, no hp restored, and usable in all worlds. Even then it could be underpriced, as such an ability can get a game changing amount of value. Like mentioned previously, setting up cherry bombs would quite the strategy. Feels bad that all that potential is wasted. Would have been nice to have more strategies.
With Torchwood now being completely free and only requiring logging in every day for a week, I'd consider it extremely powerful, especially when paired with average plants like Repeaters. The Fire Peashooter is great, but it's just one Peashooter. Now imagine two rows of Repeaters, and Torchwood doubling that damage. That and also, haha zombie become ash

I personally use Torchwood as said, a wall, with its high durability, it acts as a mix between a high level wall nut and a Jalapeño.
It’s close range attack is also useful when in hordes sine it damages but also blocks.
It’s also reliable in Frostbite Caves as it thaws nearby plants with itself immune to frost.
And because of its plant food ability, it’s simple to put and is also permanent, which means permanent plasma peas deal more damage.
So Torchwood should at least get C
It's an Endurian Jalapeño with more health that can't be frozen and thaws out your plants...Balanced.

This is the greatest and most legendary, criminally underrated collab I’ve ever seen. The intro skit was the best CZcams cinematography I’ve ever been blessed with.
The joke about the printer made me laugh so hard. Probably just because successfully printing a document nowadays still feels like an accomplishment giving how temperamental a printer can be. It just felt so real and totally something I could picture in my mind every time I have to print something.

Spring bean used to be in A tier, there was a exploit where you use his plant food and then blover when they are mid air to clear the board. Then they fixed it and back to F tier it goes
I would argue that taking into account mints and event plants (which this list does not do) Blover is the best instant kill plant in the game. A lot of plants such as Explod o Vine and even Primal Peashooter can deal knockback exploitable by Blover
Blover's compatability with primal peashooter is pretty notable with how spammable it is.

This is the first video I've watched on this channel and I've already fallen in love with this channel. You and Dane have such a fun dynamic, this video was a blast.
Can I say? Magnifying Grass is OP. With its incredibly high burst damage (having the highest DPS), it actually does some incredible stalling, and can also pick off single targets which threaten your defense, so it works well with sunflower stalling.
I remember using it in a LOT of levels where it is available. I just planted 2 layers of moonflower and shot down any huge threat i saw with magnifiying grass

Yeah, the Maginfying Grass is easy to keep up as the sun producers in this game being very strong
@@lorenzodiaz2477 Actually, magnifying grass is still better, because you can control when it fires. You see a football? If sun vine doesn't fire, you are fucked. Also, you can wait for the zombies to come over to the left, helping you stall for more time, which auto-fire plants can't do.
Literally just spam 4 coloumns of sun producers, it's that easy to use her
Celery stalker is criminally underrated. There are so many challenges with win conditions “do not spend more than x sun” or “set up your defense and defend the zombies” where celery stalker gets huge values. It’s just that the stage it’s introduced in (Neon Mixtape) isn’t good for it.
Also chard guard + blover can clear gargantuars which is insane to me

Magni is definitely NOT D tier. If you plant like one column of sunflowers like on a lot of the footage then sure, but if you spam sun producers across the whole board then it becomes absolutely overpowered, being able to kill anything in sight.
Blover is also an S tier plant. Not only it basically nulifies all of Pirate Seas, it also can be combined with Chard Guard and Primal Pea to blow away any zombie, including Gargantuars.

For me, cabbage put pretty much replaced peashooter, lobbed shots and it does way more damage only taking 5 shots to kill a normal zombie, better than that, it's plant food pretty much destroys all large crowds
Well peashooter does take 10 shots BUT he attacks twice as fast as a cabbage pult so it's basically the same...
Peashooter still bad tho
I always calculate what is going to do more damage, one shot from cabbage-pult or two shots from peashooter

Plus the prescene of graves in Egipto are ignores by cabbage pult making it a better choice than peashooter
They actually have the same dps but lobbing shot immunity is much rarer than front shot immunity.

As much as I admit to not liking PVZ2, I feel the graphics in it are a solid contender for the best 2D video game graphics of all time. The plants have a great amount of animations and cartoonishness, and the zombies' updated designs are great.

I'm now halfway through and yeah I was right. You're an early Scott the Woz. The skits aren't cringy but instead just genuinely funny, which is not common for the vast majority of youtube skits. I absolutely am loving it so far. Even if I didn't like PVZ2, I'd still watch this because the commentary and charisma is amazing. I love also the fact that you're playing off being slightly awkward and turning it into comedy. ALSO. The cops not allowed scene is glorious. Intensive carrot does actually have a use. You can use it to revive really expensive plants like winter melon, coconut cannon, etc. but I get it, it's stats aren't great.
even then, IC uses up a seed slot, and the plant only comes back at half health. While that is a use, it's better to save seed slots for more important things.

21:47 you do not understand the power that comes with magnifying grass...sure, it does less damage and is practically more expensive than the coconut cannon, but what you seem to not understand is that this thing is a strategy on its own. You put three to four rows of twin sunflowers or primal sunflowers on the lawn, gather more sun than you think you'll ever need and boom you are pretty much in creative mode, as the recharge time, which drags down the coconut cannon is nearly 0. With an insane amount of sun, you can take full advantage of that. Thus, magnifying grass is one one the best plants in the game, easy A or even S tier.

The main reason why magnifying grass is good is because of the 50 sun meta in pvz 2 which makes it super easy to get a huge sun farm
Actually Shadow-shroom is pretty underrated. It not only ignores armor like the Chili Bean, but its reload speed is twice as fast compared to it.
This reminds me of a certain era in youtube, and i love it
Rotobaga is a great plant, it is simply a better star fruit. It has higher dps and is easily spammable. Not to mention it makes big wave beach a lot easier with it being the few flying plants
A column of threepeaters and torchwood is actually a very nice combo. Sure, threepeater on it's own is inconvenient at first but when you get a column you're saving two columns of space compared to peashooter. It can also act as a shotgun in a pinch, and in arena mode if threepeater is boosted you get loads of damage in a very small space in a very short time. Two columns of threepeaters and torchwood is better but takes long to set up.

I personally would put Lightning Reed in S-tier. It was my go to plant and alone or in single columns it was okay but in a critical mass of 15-20 of them just nullifies every attack wave that comes your way and it’s plant food covers it’s one weakness of giant zombies. Amazing video btw!

Phat Beet is slept on in my opinion, it's surprisingly strong when you spam them in front of a little long range support (my pick for that job was usually laser bean). at the very least they counter a lot of the most annoying zombies AND field obstacles to me. octopus zombie is the first that comes to mind
However they in no way replicate the Gloom Shroom Garlic strategy since the Garlic is so much worse in this game.
Tbh I find that spamming Snapdragons deal way more damage than spamming phat beet

These are some very first-time player placements. Also speaking of placements, yeah, put your attackers behind your sun producers, it works wonders. And as another contribution from me, Spikeweed is goated when you use it like an even cheaper Lightning Reed and have 2 down in ever lane to completely deny basic enemies and even Prospectors.

If you think about it, Thyme Warp’s ability actually makes sense.
Considering it sends the zombies back into the past, as if they have just entered the battlefield. That also means they haven’t taken any damage yet, since they just entered the field. So, everything lines up, yeah.
But I will say the fact that’s only allowed in Neon Mixtape Tour is kinda stupid.

@Freak Show Yeah, magnifying grass is garbage. I agree with everything you said. And the fact that you need multiple thousand sun to defend all 5 lanes with magnifying grasses is the main reason why its so bad in my opinion
