Nice little bandsaw Rus!!! I like that they send you more blades!!! Thanks for sharing brother!
Thanks Jeff! Yeah I was happy to see the extra blades. I shouldn’t have to worry about blades for a long time to come.
Thanks Rus - Your channel is so diverse! I don't process meats myself, but some family members do. - Cheers!
Thanks for watching Garry
**In Randy Savage's voice** "BONESAW IS REDDDY! YEEUH!!" 😁
Haha 😂
Awesome little saw.. great review Rus!!. Happy Easter brother!
Thanks Randy! You too!
Yes sir that's a fine machine. Great job on the review! You the man Russ!
Thanks 👍
That saw is great Rus! Went thru that frozen meat and bone like butter. Vevor has branched into so many areas. Cool demonstration. Have a great Easter weekend!
It gets the job done fast Rob. Thanks brother, you too!
What model is that the ones I see are have draw buckles to keep cabinet closed not those knobs on yours ?
Great home band saw! I bet it came with a boneless blade too. I never used one that didn't have a rollers to hold the meat though. A good butchers tip for cutting bone-in steaks is to use a knife to cut the steaks and only use the band saw to cut the bone. A jug of pink sanitizer is great to spray it with after the soap and water. Right on Russ!
I’ve always found it easier to freeze the meat before sawing. Faster and good results. If your not wanting to freeze the meat then you can certainly cut with a knife and use the saw just for the bone, but since freezing is usually involved, I prefer that more. Thanks for watching Mike
That is a sweet bone saw. Rus it won't be long and you will have your own butcher shop. Great video Rus.
Been looking at this. We're about to process our first hog, and will be doing several a year. Been wanting to see someone use this.
Seems like it does a nice job Rus ! Great review. Cheers 🍻
Thanks 👍
Nice review, Rus! 👍. Vevor really has some great stuff. Would love have one of these but I’ll have stay with my breaking knife and cheap electric handsaw until i hit the lottery 🙄. Happy Easter to you and your family 🐰
Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it!
GREAT REVIEW RUS
Thanks!
Have one of their bigger grinders, works pretty well.
Thanks for the great video. How loud is it while using? wondering to have it and use inside our condo for slicing frozen meat.
It's not very loud at all.
I can see it now… Rus’s Butcher Shop, Biloxi, Mississippi lol. Looks fun, brother!
Nice review Rus got me to wondering if I could use my floor band saw I use for wood. I guess if I wanted to clean it up and get a dedicated blade for meat. Hum I wonder Thanks You
Thanks Lance. Perhaps you could. I don't see why you couldn't.
Threw a number out there and it was $20 off the price. Just ordered one of these units. Guess I’m gonna need to find another reason for using my portaband instead of processing meat. Great review. I was sold. 😉👍
Good deal! Thanks for watching and enjoy the saw!
Hi, How do you clean it? can you make a vidoe also on how to clean this.
You must not have watched the entire video because I showed a clip of hosing it down to clean the debris off.
Nice review Rus, good looking saw. I can see a lot of good uses for a meat saw. I use a hand meat saw right now at it can be a pain to use at times.
Yeah it’s nice to have, especially since Derek is a avid hunter. Will make butchering mush faster and easier
*Enjoy, Rus!* 👍
Always!
Niiiice👌🏽
A curious question, is that a left hand saw or does your camera flip things? The reason I ask is that most equipment like that comes standard right handed. Also cutting with the nitrile gloves is not a problem, just don't wear chainmail gloves when using the bandsaw. Also what is the throat depth for the saw?
It’s not labeled right or left handed. My cameras do not flip the image. As for as gloves go, they are cotton. The meat is frozen. To me it’s more dangerous to have numb fingers. That’s what can lead to accidents.
Now that you’ve had this saw for some time, do you still recommend it & are there any tips for cleaning or using it that you may want to share? For that price I’m thinking of buying one, want to buy my own meat loins and cut my own steaks & etc. meat markets are getting too pricy.
Thanks for the vid
Still works great and perfect for home use. For the price, it's gonna be hard to beat
That’s heavy duty bone saw! I like it!
Yeah it does great Luis!
You could build a platform to stand on instead of cutting the table legs. I bought a rib eye roast to cut my own steaks by hand, that was a bad day, never a again. I know you are going to enjoy your new "toy" Rus. Never had pigs feet. Yeah, the bone saw would be the way to go!
Thanks for checking the video out Papa TX. I appreciate it
I'm sure that would come in handy and allow buying larger pieces of meat at a discount. Nice review, Rus!
Thanks for watching Kevin. Very handy if you are a hunter or raise your own meat animals. I don't hunt anymore but Derek does, so between the saw and my meat grinder we can process the entire deer, hog or whatever.
Love the review looks like it would be excellent for cutting frozen meat, However I'm planning to butcher a cow again, my third time in doing so, and would like to know how this saw would handle really cold (38 - 40 degrees) dry aged pieces.
Any insight in that would be great. Thanks, Dave
In all honesty this saw may be a little small for the large primal cuts you get from a whole steer. It will cut it with no problem but the distance from the blade to the saw body probably isn’t enough for large cuts. Hogs or deer however should be no problem
Very nice tool brother 💯👍
Thanks 👍
That’s a cool saw Rus. That would do me well with my deer butchering and def cutting pork steaks out of Butts.
Yeah I'm liking it. Easy to store and gets the job done
Hey Russ, i was under the impression that this saw would not run with the door open and also i noticed that the saw you are cutting with has roller bearing guide for the blade but when i look at them at Vevor's web site they are showing plastic guides. Is yours a different model are can you order the roller guide seperately? I would buy one if it came with roller guide. Thanks
I think I was able to run it with the door open, but not a good idea. The roller bearing guide is metal with metal rollers. As far as I know, I posted the link to the saw I'm using, but I will double check. They do have different saws.
Thanks Russ.
Hey Rus, I saw another review on CZcams with a Vevor bone saw. It left a black film on the meat, have you experienced that with this specific model?
Could you do a how to video on cutting beef short ribs? Thank you sir and God Bless
That black film comes off the new blade. It only does this for the first few cuts. It can easily be washed off the meat. Thanks for the suggestion, I may be able to do that in a future video. Perhaps show cutting flanken ribs cut from 3 bone plate ribs or perhaps a combination of flanken and short ribs.
@@SmokyRibsBBQ thank you sir have a blessed day
Did you find that you could spray it out without worrying about the motor? I've been using a cheap band saw made for wood and I would really like to get something that is much easier to clean and disinfect.
Yes, I do it every time
@@SmokyRibsBBQ could you please make a vid and show your cleaning method? I'd really appreciate.
@@stephenlnoe I would but I gave it to my son since he is the hunter of the family. I did show briefly in this video how I cleaned it using a water hose. Worked great as long as you do it right after using it. Don't let the meat dry
That saw is awesome. First thing I would try is a 2” ribeye 🤤
Good call!
Nice little saw.
Thanks! It's very handy for meat processing at home.
Nice! Fairly reasonable price.
Yeah, not a bad unit at all for the price.
what is the horse power of your machine ?? is it single phase motor or 3 phase motor?? i hope you answer my question thank you.
2 horsepower, 120v single phase
Where can I get one like this to buy and what is the price range
The link is in the video description area
Cool reviews. Is that 2200w machine or below? Can we get the link for the machine!!! Thanks
The link should be in the video description box below the video where it says "show more"
Nice saw Rus ! You gonna have your own butcher shop before you know it !
Nah, just home processing our own meat. Thanks for stopping by Kent
If I had the room i'd be all over that!! Nice job!
Where in the world do you store all of these great appliances you’ve shown us?
They all have a place
Neighbor: Hey Russ sounds like you’re putting in a new deck back there.
Russ: Close! I’m slicing pork steaks and pig’s feet.
haha
Hi..Very nice rewiew...How many Watts is the saw..?..The link you added is now working anymore
I'm not sure on the watts, the saw is at my sons house so I can't look at the label. They may not be available at this time is the only thing I can think of, but I'll look into it.
The link is still working. I just went there and the saw is 1500 watts
hogs feet. hmmm. lol. it looks like it cleans up easily. i hit everything with 91% rubbing alc after i clean stuff, just to make sure no bacteria remains. i put it in a spray bottle, put it on “mist” spray setting and boom, all safe. :-)
Yeah, it cleans up easily. Thanks for watching Gail!
Which model is it? How many watts?
I put a link to it in the description area.
How does it handle meat that’s not frozen?
Can't say, I have only cut frozen meat
I wanted to know that as well.
Rus my father my father say the difference from a boy's toys from when the man's toys are How much lifetime use a man toy can bring
I cure country hams and would love to have this to section it.
It works good and not a bad price for a meat saw
@@SmokyRibsBBQ I need it to section my cured hams so I can slice them on a mechanical slicer. Is it large and robust enough to do that? It looks like it.
Nice saw russ what's the price
I'm not sure, I'm pretty sure the link is in the video description box where it says "more"
I liked and appreciate your video. However, Majority of the product reviews I see say that it's challenging to clean. It didn't look like that in your video. Please comment on cleaning. Thanks.
Hose it off, just that easy
Freeze the meat first it works better. I sold my saw because I hated cleaning it, to much work unless your doing large batches.
If you watched the video then you know the meat was frozen. This one was super easy to clean. Took mere minutes. Thanks for watching.
You still using this?
Yep
Vegans can use that baby to slice giant carrots too!
absolutely haha
Guess my questions weren't worthy of a response.
What was your question? I don’t live by my computer or phone. I’ve been shooting new videos the last 3 days. It’s not uncommon for me to miss comments and so you know. I try to read them all when I can but some slip by me.
cool saw. om use to using bigger equipment and having the blade facing the other direction and having a sliding table you'd use your hips to move.
Yeah not bad for a home saw. The price isn't bad either
