Yes, you gave them the 12 that we somehow failed to give them that year :-) As you say, a nice and pleasant song, and you'll be interested to know that Yiannis became a big star in Greece during the 90s - esp. his song "Deka Magisses" ("Ten Witches", nothing to do with witchery though, it refers to his lover's fingers!) became a HUGE hit in '96-'97. However, he's kind of disappeared from the public eye today.
The chorus: ''Tonight lets meet, to foreign far away lands. Tonight lets enjoy, the hours that pass and never come back''. It's a happy jolly - disney like - song.
That's the good part of Eurovision. You don't have to understand the lyrics to enjoy a song. Anyway, you feel that there is a story being told. That's the good part of singing in your own language.
They really do look like a couple on a wedding cake, don't they? ;-) A nice ballad from Cyprus, a song for a summer night (but in a totally different sense from Italy's "Raggio di luna" from '79. I won't share the Icelandic jury's enthusiasm for it, but it's still a nice song.
hehe. My niece, 4 years old back then always wanted to see the wedding couple when she visited us! At the end she shouted entustiastic: aaaaahhhhh they kissed! they are married now!
Great! They overwent the mistake in the beggining and sang great! Savvidakis is still singing. What a sweet song

NICE SONG
I was just 12 years old but still remember this song very well although I don't understand a single word of it.
