Paul Bettany is one of the very few actors who can play literally anything. He's played anything from meek and geeky to completely psychotic and is always convincing.
Jennyfisch agreed so much
Well isnt thats what all actors suppose to do? Lol
I didnt like how he potrayed Kaczynski tho. It felt like watching psycho Sheldon Cooper, too stuck up and wooden
@@jedigovna9537 kaczynski is stuck up and wooden though
@chess boi where did i ever indicate that he did something wrong? Are you too inept to follow basic reading comprehension?
Paul would make a great David Bowie.
moldypizza omg he would be perfect!
Tilda Swinton would make a better one!
Moloko or Tilda could pull out And excellent Paul!
Same here, Paul would be great :o
yeah, but Paul is so tall!
Paul Bettany is so underrated..!
I'm really happy that he's finally getting more credit 😍💜
Paul's voice can kill me after two sentences.
He is quite the vision, isn't he?
Your avatar picture fits your quote quite nicely.
Yellow there, Mr. Bettany.
He is that. 😍
😍😍😍😍😍
Ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
What an underrated actor. With this role he shows just what he's capable of. All his life he has been doing supporting roles or leads in B-Movies. Why will no director take a chance on him? Indie Movies With great scripts, dialogue and character Development. I get the fact that he is not a very well known superstar that can be cast in a 500 million $ blockbuster, but honestly, who gives a shit about Movies like that. I would love to see more of Bettany in serious Method acting roles.
I appreciate that this is a response 10 months late to your comment, but have you seen Master and Commander? Paul Bettany had a leading role in that film alongside Russell Crowe. Their performances are both fantastic, and the film itself is a stunning motion picture. I agree with you though, Bettany is a gem of an actor, and I think he has earned enough acting credibility to warrant being cast as a lead in award winning films.
@@beeman2075 yep. Absolutely great as Charles Darwin. It was not a leading role however, but a supporting role. Russell Crowe had the main part. Paul and Russell's collaborations are wonderful. A Beatifuld Mind being one of them. I'm pretty sure it was Russel Crowe's decision to cast Bettany as Charles Darwin in Master & Commander, seeing how well they play off eachother and are great friends. I think Paul and Jennifer Connelly, his wife, met on the set of that (A beautiful mind). Tells us, atleast me, something about Paul's character when Connelly chooses him out of all the othet famous actors and superstars she's worked with. Drop dead gorgeous woman, and highly intelligent, and a great actor too, most importantly.
I honestly think Paul can win an Oscar. He just needs the right role. He could already act circles around some of the actors we have today. Guarantee you if you give him the right movie and give him a good part, he could bring home the big guns easily.
Side note: I know awards and stuff don't matter in retrospect but just a thought
Cut to 2022, where he’s playing in Wandavision and A Very British Scandal 😉
God, he's fiiinnneee
yesss and damn, his reaction to being called handsome tho! 😍
He's such a sweet guy. When vision first showed up in marvel this guy was every fans best friend on twitter
Meeeeh
Just finished watching Manhunt: Unabomber - Paul brings a humanity to the Unabomber that is brilliant. Great series. Great actors.
I know I actually felt a fair amount of sympathy for him... Am I evil?
Tom Watts no, ted did nothing wrong
@@olliefrancis3740 Don't be an idiot, you can find some truth in his philosophy and still acknowledge that he did do some wrong. He killed people, maimed more, scarring them and their loved ones forever.
@@TheScarletGamer I'm with you. I loved this show, and I actually felt so sorry for him in the end. Yes, he was deranged in murdering innocent people. With that said, he didn't commit his crimes with evil or perverted intent like every other murderer out there. I believe what they did to him while he was in college screwed with his mind so much, it cause irreparable damage. He was very wrong with what he did, but I feel sympathy for him, it's very tragic.
Great series indeed.
Bettany is one of my TOP 5 favorite actors of all time. Bettany may not be interested in how he is rated (?), but he is criminally underrated in my opinion. Everything he does, says, and how he does and says it is brilliant. I simply LOVE this man. Thank you Mr. Bettany! P.S. Amazing hair....so gorgeous!
So nice to see him. Am I the only one who also remembers him in "Wimbledon"?
You're not the only one
I loved that film with Kirsten Dunst. Paul is da bloke!
I immediately think of Knight's Tale when I see him.
gangster no 1
same... then i hear, "to trudge!?"!
Yep, same here..
I loved that movie
such an underrated movie. Its so campy but soooooo good!
He does not look 46 years old at all.
TSK he looks like a drunk 39!
I know! I thought he was in his mid to late 30's or something. He's very handsome, too.
TSK it’s just cause the glasses
He was intense AF playing the Unabomber ...
Lmao miming. Paul looks so embarrassed for him.
He was impressive in the Unabomber. This guy can act!
My favorite movie with him has to be Master & Commander, no question.
Oh that's a great film! I'm gonna have to download it now you've reminded me...
Knights tale for me
Gangster No. 1.
I don’t get into too many shows but wow did I ever get consumed by this one. Everything is so well done, the acting is phenomenal and the little details so believable. I literally started watching the first episode again after it ended just to see the characters again who made such an impact on me.
such an eternally handsome man!
They're flirting pretty unabashedly here. I think Colbert has a bit of a man crush!
Paul Bettany and Daniel Craig
I really like his laugh for some reason
It's that damn amazing voice
the show is pretty good, even better that i could ever imagine. He's acting is fantastic, i cannot believe the little preparation he had, he did it incredibly good. i hope to see more of the serie in other cases like Ted Kaczynski, an idealist genius.
I love Paul Bettany. He's so incredibly talented.
god i love paul bettany...
the second I saw him walk into the studio, in my head I went: "what a man, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man!' :D :D
Wow, so both these guys have hustled hard and failed in the past. Good motivation.
This man is so underappreciated ._.
I love Paul's voice, does he do audiobooks?
Unabomber was soooo good! One of my favo series
It was good
Paul Bettany is too cool for words. Loved him in Master and Commander. I wish more people knew about that movie.
It's a great film .👍🇬🇧
@@chrisholland7367 we need a movie with Paul Bettany and Jason Statham.
I don't think busking is the lowest form of entertainment at all. Buskers are the life and soul of many a city.
Brian DePalmaDeMajorca A grimmer city is one with dead streets. No music. No performance. Just robots making their way from task to task without the human interaction of performance art to crack the fluorescent monotony of a sterile existence. If you have the time, Amanda Palmer's The Art of Asking TED talk on her early days as a street performer is worth a watch.
I agree about busking, though buskers during the Edinburgh Festival (which is clearly what Stephen was) are a whole different breed. Those folk are crazy. One guy has a Henry Hoover that plays the sax. Another guy (who turns up every year) does nothing except stand on his head with his head in a bucket. And God, the 'living statues'... 😫 Some fantastic musicians in there too though.
Moloko I agree that not all buskers are great, but the lowest form of entertainment? I'll take a vibrant street full of crappy buskers over watching The Apprentice (or most faux-reality shows) any day of the week.
Amen to that! As long as said street isn't full of human statues... _shudder_
Brian DePalmaDeMajorca Oh grow up. 🙄
damn he fiiiiiiine
he looks 20 and 40 at the same time how is that possible
Gabriel Flores He looks too young to be 40, but too classy to be 20.
@@djarinriduur So he looks 30
Paul was fantastic in this show as he always is in everything he does. Like to see him in more movies and what not. As many have said, very underrated actor.
I loved him in A Beautiful Mind, and he is an amazing actor but... I cannot hear his voice and not hear Jarvis.
ikr jarvis and vision keep poping in my head when i hear him
what a beautiful man
He was unsettlingly brilliant as Kaczynski, terrific actor !
He was such a badass in "Gangster No. 1"
I cried watching him play the unabomber while listening as he narrates the story of ted.
He looks like Bowie, he looks like Roger Moore, he looks like Peter Weller... This man looks like everyone!
he should be the next robocop
I'm dreaming to hear Paul play
Just seen Unabomber on netflix whoa whoa
Jarviiiiiiiis !!!
(and Vision :>).
Blak I think that was James Spader
No, that was Ultron.
Serenity113 yes indeed my bad
No worries. :)
Paul Bettany will always be Geoffrey Chaucer from 'A Knights Tale' to me
His voice is soo soothing!
So he's a method actor. I fell in love with Paul Bettany since a Knight's Tale. Maybe it's the accent, hahaha
He looks drunk, I love it
The Steve McQueen vibe is strong here!
ive met Paul years ago he was playing in a pub in North London......lovely man ....ans so beautiful..
It was actually one of the best representations I ever seen in my life. So real and full of emotions ( even with the lack of emotions) soooo good.
At 6:08 I thought my screen had frozen 😂
I really enjoyed watching the series, as hard as the subject is I was hooked from beggining to end.
The best Unabomber there is. A fantastic actor!
The best unabomber is the real unabomber.
This is one of the best interviews I've ever seen.
Wow! 3 days in a resort without internet. How did he do it? Somebody give this guy a medal!
Harrison McKinney it's not hard at all...
Lol you dropped a bomb on me as the opening theme
Definitely one of my favorite actors...
Paul Bettany ❤
He will ALWAYS be from A Knight's Tale to me...
He looks amazing for his age! WOW!
I remember first watching him in A Beautiful Mind I’m really glad he got a lead role in such an amazing show like Manhunt :)
When i first saw him as Silas in DVC, i was shocked, since i had never seen him before and yet, i imagined Silas to be exactly like him. Then i saw him in the Priest and the rest is history. I will forever miss Jarvis, though. Friday's not the same. She's just not Jarvis.
I love Paul he's great
Good grief, he was spectacular in this.... Where did he find such a perfect midwestern American accent???
4:10 is when they talk about the Unabomber
"Did you get to spend any time with him?"
I don't know why that is so funny. As if Ted would sink so low.
He's adorable! !Love him
I love this actor
Colbert has more British guests than Graham Norton.
Remind me to The Police song, Don't Stand So Close to Me. If he were a teacher...I'd be in a deep, deep trouble.
..not that I mind.
His Vision puts me to sleep but I liked him in that Harrison Ford cybercrime movie.
Oh God I'm drooling! *-*
Paul will forever be hot af! Ultimate celeb crush!
Colbert’s leprechaun heritage jumped out when he asked if there were having a drunk Englishman lol
wanna hear something wierd?
my grandpas dad was the unabombers guidance counseler
That one Guy if true, them I wonder what was going through his head when he found out about Ted later on, well if he was still living...
Your Great grandfather would be a better way to put it.
Loved him in A Knight's Tale.
He has been married to Jennifer Connelly since 2003- two fantastic actors.
did he get an award for his role as Ted K? should have!
That right there is a beautiful ass man.
Stephen a ride along you are so frieken Hilarious I was falling off my seat. So great to see Paul having fun with you. Thanks so much. I Love you Stephen for the way you stood up for our democracy. I am forever your fan my friend. Have a wonderful upcoming Holidays and new Years with your wife and family. Blessings to your staff and their families as well. Stay Safe
First thing I think about him is that Wimbledon movie, then Knight's tale, then Beautiful mind etc.
That series was so good
It is ironic thatof Paul plays both Vision (paragon of AI technology) and Ted (anarcho-primitivist)
No one has mentioned he is the luckiest man with one of the greatest beautiful women on Earth that's why they still together 2020 I hope so last time I heard was 2 years ago
Becomes US citizen then gets hired to play the Unabomber. haha
I love you paul, I hope someday I will meet you
I first watched him at A Knight's Tale :)
Whoa, he's, that was amazing, I didn't realize it was him actually. >_
4:10 for the titled interview, my goodness
So fine he is
i confused him once with the guy from nothing hill LOL
What is beeped out at the end? For the life of me can't figure it out, someone help please :>
Jealous of the guy. His wife is my celebrity crush 😏
Actually thats how i imagined Harry Hole would look like before "Snowman"...Paul Bettany not Fassbender. If only the director had read the book. My imagination still resists Fassbender! :)
A ride along...hahahaha!
man, Paul Bettany's hot-like hot, man!
Underatted actor
Reminds me of Giles from Buffy 👻
Risen Demon Observant! They do have the same way of breaking into giggles every second sentence, god bless them. ^^
@@QueenMegaera Oh my God, finally someone who noticed that as well. Paul and Tony Head are my favourite Brits ever, and I noticed some similar mannerisms, esp the explosive giggling.
Paul bettany is cool
5:48 Aw America, hear the truth
Thank you.
