Aaron filming himself riding around on the E-Bike without a helmet and then ending the Ad with "ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET" is Nateland at its best
LOL I thought the same thing
I like how he was trying to pop wheelies and he was getting the front tire off the ground by maybe two inches, at best. 😂
And riding with his chin held all high.
And riding with his chin held all high.
@dustyslay bursting into song periodically to share a theme song, TV/commercial jingle or 80’s hit is an underrated highlight of several episodes, including this one. Always unexpected, always a hit!
Omg it’s my favorite thing
I think the people coming for Dusty's throat need to see a therapist. He's just good, wholesome, abstract fun with a heart of gold.
Dusty is the only comic who shows up prepared and expecting to fight with his crowd lol
I want to hear what happened to Aaron’s conclusion to his rental car mishap. Did the company continue to charge him while the car was at the towing lot?
Dusty, I think no one stops you from fixing the baggage claim jams because you look like the guy they would call to fix something like that 😂
The BEST comment!!! HILARIOUS! 😂 So true!
Beeftown Bates better pick this one 😂
I bet Aaron thinks the baggage carousel at the airport is the last great cross section of America.
Haha! Nice.
"Listen. I only got room for a certain amount of names in my head." That is the most male thing ever said.
I bet Brian walks faster than he runs.
🤣💯
true, you'd have to factor in falling down and slowly getting up also
I love Nate, but I kinda like it when he's away too. I feel like the rest of the team speaks more freely when Nate's not there. Great job you all.🎉
I’m glad I’m not the only one. Johnnie W. would have been a great guest.
Yeah I feel like I'd rather see nate on podcast with people who are also doing arenas. I like those podcast because I can relate, and as nate is becoming more and more successfully, It's hard to relate. I still love his comedy and seeing him guest on other pods. But Now He just feels like when the ceo visits the office..
@@jond661it’s because the others don’t feel comfortable reigning in his long repetitive rants. Yes, it’s Nate’s podcast so if he wants to talk about whatever, it’s clear the co-hosts should let him, but Nate really struggles to concisely make a point. All too often he just repeats himself. I wish the gang had an internal rule - ‘has one person been talking about a side topic for more than 5 minutes?’ If so; someone jump in and wrap it up.
Points were made
I used to think that, too, because it does give Bubble Butt more of a platform to express, but it does make me a lil happier when the whole gang is there.
The picture with Leanne and Dusty looks like it would say “have you seen this person” with Dusty circled
The fact that Bathtub thinks that Nate has no idea who scored zero points at laser tag is great.
When Nate asked Brian “how do you score zero points” it wasn’t a rhetorical question
I'm 67 and it was ABC, CBS, NBC & PBS. We had the rabbit ears on our TV and I was the remote because you had to turn the dial on the TV and I was the youngest . Bugs bunny was the best. Saturday's were big. Once a year we would watch The Wizard of Oz, Jimmy Stewart's It's a Wonderful Life & Charleton Heston's Moses in The Ten Commandments. 🙋🏻♀️💜😊👍
"How many lines can I do right here" Bobcat is a very innocent man.
I can relate and it’s appreciated!
@Nash_Nismo OK, I'll bite. You can relate to what..? Being innocent? To doing lines? Or to getting the joke?
@@williamgaleano4392 🤣 the clueless innocence part.
@@Nash_Nismo 😂 alright. We're having a good time
That Draft Kings ad was just an absolutely beautiful trainwreck. Even though we all left confused about how gambling works, we will all remember Draft Kings for when we figure it out.
This is why I love Nateland, the only podcast where the ad reads are just as funny as the rest of the podcast. Keep it up.
Dusty is so on point about the ads, this is the only podcast that I don’t skip ahead for the ad reads. Always silly and entertaining, you guys are the best!(:
If there is one line that sums up my addiction to this podcast and Dusty Slay - it’s - and I’m quoting “Bugs Bunny’s a prick”.
PLEASE talk more about Aaron’s ebike commercial saying “Remember to always wear a helmet” as he’s featured throughout the entire ad not wearing a helmet 😂 It did look like a lot of fun though.
Remember when the podcast was one hour? That was a crazy time! We survived, y’all
How'd we make it thru that?!! 😅
I got truly sad when they made it to 1 hour, but thank God that didn't last! Hooray for the Folks!
The ad reads were some of the best this week! It’s tough to pick a favorite from Backflow coughing his way through DraftKing’s after the most awkward setup, Aaron trying to get some air on the e-bike and failing miserably each time, or Dusty struggling with big words such as “it” but managing “efficacy” just fine for AG1.
You all win for making the ads such a memorable part of the podcast!
lol. When he was riding that bike, it was going so slow at times I was surprised it was staying upright. Loved the ads this week. 😂❤
“With your drinking buddies..’hey…how many..’ idk, whatever it is y’all did!” Omg I’m dying 😂
I’m not a library scientist but am a nerd heading to the library today. Our library only has no late fees for children’s book. I think it’s because kids lose books a lot and they didn’t want late fees to deter parents from getting books for their kids.
If you lose a book, they charge you the cost of the book to replace it. Also, our library bans you from checking out when your fees get to $10
Our local stopped late fees maybe around the Lockdowns? One of the maybe only good things from that time! 🤔
Nate needs to know that Bedtime showed a blind lady something and asked if it was hers. Very on brand.
I want to hear this Dusty live stream story.
Same! So frustrating when I’m watching and y’all don’t want to talk about something and say you’ll talk about it off air. Stop! It’s rude, and those of us that have followed along from the beginning feel insulted. Of course I’ll still watch next week…
Yeah we gotta know
Same!
Dusty, you would 100% appreciate the BLUEY cartoon! It’s a tv dad who’s not an idiot and is actually a really good dad! It’s the only kids cartoon I find myself watching even though the kids have already left the room!
I can’t believe you didn’t mention Dr. Katz cartoon. It was Johnathon Katz as a psychiatrist who interviewed/treated stand up comics that came to his office. It was drawn in squiggle vision.
I was surprised by this as well. I loved this show when I was younger and gave me more exposure to stand-ups such as Mitch Hedberg and so many others. I was curious what the stand-up comedians thought of the show. And of course, Jon Benjamin is a legend of comedic voice acting.
The laughing fits have always been one of my fav parts of this podcast. 😂
Love when you all get to laughing at each other 😂😂😂😂😂
Dusty looks down at his phone, looks back up and Blow Baby Bates is taking over/under bets on how many lines he’ll do off the table. I haven’t laughed that hard in a while. Thanks gents!
I was really hoping Buffoon would reveal he won the laser tag match with a gun he didn't think was working. Alas, he scored 0 points with a laser gun that probably was working.
I wish Nate had been on this episode, not because the fellas didn't do a good job, they were great, but I'm just imagining Nate reacting to Aaron's list of favorite cartoons from his childhood. "WHAT were you doing as a kid? We got hall monitors and football head? Where's the magic, where are the superheroes, Aaron's over here watching kids hang out in a library. How is that fun?"
That's great! 😅
The guy who left the comment that Dusty read really followed him from Nateland to another pod to comment. Sounds like a fan to me. I love all iterations of this pod. The 3 guys, guests, with Nate, without. After nearly 200 episodes, I feel like the rotation helps keep it fresh.
It's always weird to hear an ad for gambling with all these dudes being clean comedians.
I've told my wife before that watching Nateland is like when I was a kid watching Saturday morning cartoons eating my favorite cereal. Love you guys. When Aaron was in Tulsa I pitched him an Idea I had for a Hey Bear shirt, the four of you guys as cartoon bears (teen titan style animation). Thought it was funny Aaron thought i meant like the care bears 😂. Nate as panda Breakfast as a koala, Aaron as a brown bear, Dusty as a Black Bear. Bagel bates make it happen, love you all!
We don’t call cornhole “bags” in the Midwest. It’s definitely cornhole and funny every time someone says it.
I was initially skeptical of Dusty adding t’s at the end of words, but then he said “swordt” when talking about he-man
“No. Mines been demolished”
Brian’s school only had one room 😂
Fun Fact: Fred and Wilma Flintstone were the first TV couple to be shown in bed together.
I didn’t even watch/listen to this podcast until Dusty became a regular. Nate randomly makes me chuckle, but Dusty constantly makes me laugh.
Nate is my absolute favorite comedian. Several years ago I was depressed and googling comedians, then watching them on CZcams. He was clean, and he was hilarious. I haven’t missed watching a podcast, and feel the four of y’all bring a good balance to the program. I’m happy y’all are doing so well with your careers and appear to be good friends. Thank you for being the one thing I look forward to each and every week. I look forward to seeing y’all when you come to Bozeman MT. Aaron, wouldn’t you be here the one time I finally get a vacay and I’m out of the country! p.s. It’s May 8th and it’s snowing!
I love how Dusty and Aaron just start laughing uncontrollably during Brian’s reading of an add. I seriously was laughing along with you guys! Love your podcast! Something I look forward to every week!
Nateland is the only podcast where if the “main” host is gone I still find the co-hosts very entertaining.
I love Dusty. Don't take those haters seriously at all.
Watching Dusty process Beetlejuice's Goodwater/Flint joke might be my favorite Nateland moment of the year so far. 😂
Dusty thinking it was “blues in the blender” and saying , “I always thought it was a musical reference, but maybe it is booze.” It is literally a song about drinking margaritas.
One of the funniest things about this episode is imagining what Nate’s reaction would be during the discussion about Dusty’s ‘blown out’ flip flops.. 😂
Incredible episode! I truly love Nate and when the BAND is together, but there is something special about the chemistry when the three of y’all become the “DAB Unleashed” show! 😄 Also, keep doing the data/data thing, Aaron. The real folks out here LOVE it!
The possum on Dusty's cartoon trailer hits home. I too lived in a trailer. We had a possum that would get in through the dryer duct hole. My mother's husband caught the possum and hung it outside by it's tail as a sign to the other possums not to enter our castle on wheels. We never had another possum inside again.
I lived in a trailer with a new born child, had a racoon invade under the skirting, we just told my son it was a bunny so the sound won't scare him
Hi folks! I love Nateland!
I have many health issues and I am not working. I am quite isolated. I listen to you guys to get some laughter in my life. I often dream that I am hanging out with you guys having fun.
Thanks so much for making me feel better.
Thanks so much, Cheryl!
I live in Long Beach and we love the Aquarium Dusty, nice shout out for us ❤🙌
Dusty is the smartest person who looks like that I've ever seen. Hidden behind that baked-in "I'm just browsing" persona is a very clever man.
We love you Dusty, that’s hilarious 😂😂😂❤
55:59 is why I love this podcast so much!!
Hello Folks! Loved the topic for today. There is a channel called Boomerang that has all the older cartoons on it. We got the free trial during Covid and introduced my daughter who was 5 at the time to Scooby and all the different spin offs (newer version on Netflix), Smurfs, Flintstones and Yogi Bear. Made my day to get up one morning, to find her sitting in front of the tv, eating breakfast, watching Scooby Doo on her own. P.S. Aaron, I got a sticker from you in Grand Rapids and gave it to my daughter who thought it was the coolest thing ever. "He gave me a sticker!" You moved up her 8 year old ranking system of her favorites on the podcast (Nate is still #1, bc her dad is also a Nate).
How did Fat Albert or Mighty Mouse not make Brian's list?
Nateland fans and comments are THE BEST! In this social media - at times nasty world - so good to read these comments! For the most part, no one trying to argue or start something. Just good ppl and good times! Love to you all! ❤️
Bugs bunny cartoons are timeless classics.
I loved hearing Dusty singing the song to Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. I think Dusty and I watched the same cartoons. Loved Saturday mornings, watching cartoons and eating cereal. Great way to start the day!
I love how spicy Bedpan was in this episode…had me rolling. 😂
I was having such a horrible morning at work due to issues that I had to pause the podcast several times to deal with those issues. After a 30 min pause I was able to start listening again, which was right at the Draft Kings ad read and boy, let me tell you, I needed that laugh! I was belly laughing so hard during that ad read that I almost choked on my water. My mood quickly changed for the better and it allowed me to continue on in my day with a better attitude. Thank you for the amazing ad reads and all the laughs that come with it! Ya'll are the best!!
" hey! I know you from church! We should steal some cable!"
had the same thought lol😂😂😂😂
That Draft Kings ad read was the best ever. Good job, BBQ!
Love this episode but as a little girl in the 80’s, I gotta shout out The Care Bears! *Care Bear Stare!*
My cartoons were very similar to Dusty’s. Lots of belly laughs with this episode. I will be singing Captain Planet all week long.
I was surprised you guys didn’t mention Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, the cartoon which guest starred a few comedians each episode. It’s how I was first exposed to comedians like Ray Romano, Steven Wright, Kevin Meany, and Brian Regan. It was really great. I’d love to see a new version with Nate or Dusty talking to Dr. Katz.
When Dusty busts out in song it’s hilarious and I’m really impressed that he can remember them all!
Couldn't help but picture Brian in a new Home Alone movie as he told the story about running through the airport. Home Alone 6: Lost in Nashville. Can see Nate sitting on the plane and suddenly realizing he left him... "BRIAN!"
I imagine Elmer Fudd vs. Buggs Bunny looks a lot like Bartholomew vs. the squirrels
I’m very glad Dusty came to the podcast I’ve been watching since the beginning and I love his Christian world view and what can only be described as a disdain for the moon space and time which creates a hilarious commentary whenever the subjects arise
Dusty we love you, you have been an awesome addition to the podcast, you always need someone there to question everything, one day when we see everything for what it is I bet we will be blown away by how right you have been. I love the setup that you guys have, watching Aaron hold back on some of the ludicrous ideas that come up from Dusty and Nate is great. You do a good job of letting things go without looking up all the actually facts online. Then Brian is the glue that keeps everything together. Brian, you seem very kind and reliable. I have seen you live, the first time we saw Nate live, you opened and I remember thinking you did great.
Hello World and Hey Bear. 🎉🎉❤❤
I think Dusty’s cartoon would have been great. I hope it gets produced.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE when you guys start laughing and can't stop. Dusty was in rare form!!!! After all the laughter he gains composure and then says, " I've never agreed with a comment SO MORE"!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What is going on!?!?!? 😂😂😂
When Aaron laughs, it's the best. Belly laughs. 🤣🤣🤣👍
Robotech on the UHF channel before it became fox. Beavis and Butthead and Aeon Flux as a teen. Then South park, Phineas and Ferb and Spongebob as an adult (with kids).
Thanks for bringing up that it was called "Bags" in the midwest, Aaron. We need more people shedding light there.....from Chicago
Great cartoons to add: Top Cat, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Johnny Quest!
The fact that Boxy Brown and Dusty love Aqua Teen Hunger Force is further proof of the superior intellect and sophisticated sense of humor this Podcast brings to Earth. Even Err would approve.
Bucket Hat has the perfect running stride for an airport rushing to the gate.
My favorite all-time cartoon is The Pink Panther. The Inspector and Pink Panther specifically, not so much the Anteater. Now I'm going to have to find some episodes to watch.
Aaron- that Tulsa Friday night 10pm show was wild
When Nate's not there, the pod is calm, easy going, funny. 😂
Newer listener here and am obsessed with y’all. Aaron and Brian need to make your way to the Milwaukee area. Just missed Dusty and Nate.
When my 6 year old daughter was just under 1 year old. I had her in one of those skip hop activity centers since she couldn’t walk yet. I was in the kitchen and heard her in the living room laughing hysterically. I figured one of the dogs or cat had her going since at this point in her life nothing really made her laugh like that. She was staring at the tv and the movie Angry Birds was on. I thought it was maybe a one time only situation. However, anytime we put that movie on. She would watch it and laugh that infectious baby giggle. Love the show. Hope to see you all one day.
Jimmy K
I love how Brian caught Dusty on his phone and called him out on it. You gotta listen to even the adds Dusty!
Just came from Nate’s show in Asheville Nc! Special surprise to see Aaron too! The parking was an absolute nightmare but getting to see Nate’s dad’s hilarious magic show made it more than worth it! The only thing that would have made it better is if there wasn’t a bird that got in flying around everyone’s heads lol! Thank you guys for all that you do and the laughter you bring!!
You can tell someone grew up with some money if they say, "we didn't have cable...we had basic cable".
Dusty knows so many lyrics, it's great. From country songs to cartoon theme songs from 30 years ago 😂 I love it
I love that Dusty knows and sung the Captain Planet theme song! 🤣🤣 Spot on!
Like Bo Ziffer, I am also in my 50s. Here's several cartoons that were not mentioned in this podcast: the Jetsons, Thundercats, Battle of the Planets, Animaniacs, the Banana Splits, Kroft Superstar Hour, Gilligan's Planet, Fonz & the Happy Days Gang, Gigglesnort Hotel, Peppermint Place, Dusty's Treehouse, Captain Kangaroo, Popeye, Dungeons & Dragons, Sesame Street, Electric Company, Mister Rogers, Tiny Toons, Muppet Babies, Schoolhouse Rock, Quickdraw McGraw, Wacky Racers, Speedy Gonzalez, Deputy Dog, Captain Caveman, Hong Kong Phooey, Snagglepuss, Woody Woodpecker, Droopy, Magilla Gorilla, Huckleberry Hound, Secret Squirrel, Space Ghost, Cartoon Planet, Thundarr the Barbarian, the Pink Panther, Ren & Stimpy, Mighty Mouse, Felix the Cat, and Duck Tales.
This is the only podcast with this style of ad reads, and the only podcast I listen to the ads
I love Dusty he made me laugh right out of the gate. 😂😂😂👍
I love how you talk about how ad reads are better when it goes with the flow of the conversation, then immediately there is a prerecorded one added outside of the flow of the dialogue. I also love how Aaron says, "And remember always wear a helmet" as it shows him sticking his tongue out while not wearing a helmet. Keep up the good work folks!
The JETSONS!
...Ducktales-who didn't want to dive into a swimming pool of gold?
“I never agreed with a comment so more!” I laughed so hard when Dusty said that. Love your podcast! Thank you for making us laugh!
"With your drinkin' buddies, did you ever play like hey how many...you know, whatever it is yall did?" - Classic Breakfast Bates
Grew up in Cali. Played a lot of rock metal shows at the Troubadour. Great club. You go Dusty!!!!
Ads were on point! Betting Brian literally had everyone rolling with the Draft Kings ad read while Aaron is so good, he’s too good and has to insert a prerecorded video ad!
In college my psychology professor told us that our sense of smell is the most powerful of the 5 sense for bringing back memories. Another great reason to go to college. To learn fun facts like that.
Hello folks!
I just went back and listened to episode #199. I don’t usually listen when Nate is gone, but I decided to give Aaron, Dusty and Benchpress a chance. I was dying to hear what they had to say about cartoons. I was surprised Dusty didn’t have “Thundercats” in his list. I thought that would’ve been right up his alley.
Im curious if any of you remember the cartoon “ProStars”…it didn’t air very long, but it holds such a strong memory in my childhood Saturday mornings.
Love the show. Keep it up.
PS: Is Aaron in a Tik tok with The Black Keys stuffing Zyn pouches in his mouth?
Recess never gets old. I'm 32 next month & could happily watch that now.
It's fortuitous that you talked about Chuck Lorre during the cartoon episode given that he composed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song, which is the greatest of all cartoon theme songs.
