yeah it essentially flies like it's on rails, it feels completely weightless sometimes, like you can just fly around with little to no resistence
compare that to jets who now feel more sluggish than the tanks after 6.0, its pretty nuts lmao
Indeed. They have more armour to protect de pilot. Now it is more difficult for infantry to deal with it.

How do you spawn first in the heli? I click as fast as I can at the start but sometimes don’t get it. I tried spamming space bar but it doesn’t put me in the heli, just a normal spawn

can you do heli and jet vid with controls overlay? your vids inspired me to learn to play jet and helis but ngl it's way more difficult than i thought it is, watching an actual pro with control overlay would help alot. also sick game! how long are u playing jet/helis?

I think they should fix AA missiles first, then maybe nerf helis. I don't want to advertise myself, but I have a whole video on my channel that shows this problem that has existed for 2 years and idk why nobody is talking about it.
Shows it from the jet pilot's perspective but it is happening to every AA missiles (wildcat ones etc.).
yeah AA is dogshit, infantry needs an AA buff either by making stingers better or adding in stationary/buildable AA

They should put an ammo limit on the vehicles and you have to land or park in a control point to reload. Like 2000 rounds of mini gun and 50 rockets. Still enough so you can do some damage but not unlimited so you cant farm people like that non-stop. There needs to be something in place so you have to disengage and resupply

Will you be covering the jet changes? Seems to be a big nerf? But maybe i just haven't gotten used to having afterburners on a cool down
probably not as big of a nerf, since jets spend more time away from ground units and are a little faster than the choppers, so they get a bit more wiggle room
still dont get why they were included in the nerf tho, they're basically the weakest/hardest to use non-transport vehicle in the game right now
I’m happy they changed the afterburner the way they have. I was always surprised you could just leave it on all the time lol. Ups the skill ceiling of dogfighting for sure having to manage your speed/distance/afterburner/gun heat and such. I’ve been owning in dogfights instead of getting caught because they just leave their afterburner on all the time with that crazy turn speed and stuff.

their hitbox is simply too large and they do not have enough HP to justify the current insultingly slow top speed, and aerodynamics being comparable to a literal brick
sure, 300km/h sounds fast, but you gotta remember these things are almost 1.5x larger than a tank, and even larger than every other helicopter. get a wildcat AA, and just check the sky for a moment. i can guarantee you if you're on a map with 2 jets per team or more, you'll absolutely farm those planes

The LB is so easy on MNK, you can have it set up so its literally just like aiming a rifle with no recoil.

Dice have been told multiple times it’s overpowered but they didn’t listen so me and friends just uninstalled
As spoiled as we are with the movement and maneuverability of this thing it's really what makes this heli so strong
But I also cant imagine how rough it would be to fly a BF4 littlebird in this game 😂
Mnk players with the right setup is also the issue. You can have aim just like your using a rifle with the correct settings
@markmc5112 yes it's called rifle aim which was also a common control scheme in BF4 on console aswell.
But with how fast the yaw is in this game rifle aim is so much stronger here

Can you reach the same lvl of heli skill using a controller if you have enough playing time?
i am on pc but use a controller, i find a mid range sensitivity works better more accurate at range but fast spin rounds for close up.
run a few solo matches and they around with a few sensitivity settings

I notice there’s a lot more movement in a BF4 heli kill streak than a 2042 streak.. I think they tried to design the maps to much like Star Wars, creates some stagnant combat for sure.
The BF4 Scout Heli was overpowered in the hands of a skilled pilot but man I had no idea how ridiculous it is in 2042. Its wayyyy too fast & manoeuvrable to be balanced. Even jets have no chance. DICE why?

LB is busted on MNK you can have your settings a certain way so the aim is literally like using an AR.
if you rebind your yaw to left/right mouse then you can basically aim like you're on foot or in a tank, the difference between roll aim and yaw is nuts, its like going from veteran difficulty to easy

I think DICE should remove the sound made by Lis TV missile. They don’t do much damage anyway, so it’s a triple whammy when they’re loud, slow, and weak.

I frequently see pilots go 50 to 70 kills to 0 to 5 deaths. It's not just the top 0.01 % who can do it. But it's definitely a skill issue. I mostly counter the noobs and it's already rather easy - if you stay away from the useless AA missiles. Hitting the helis with Lis missile is not an option against most good pilots. But I don't know what the "balance" could be in this situation. All air units seem to steer the match towards one way or other, ground vehicles are not able to do much if they don't have air superiority. Dice seems to want to balance for the average player, to get more even matches and end the KPM farm for light air vehicles. I think this is the wrong way but we'll see. Battlefield 1 you could damage air with small arms and it was not too overpowered but... there was no anti-air weapons to speak of anyway.
It's not hard to change the settings on MNK so your aim with the mouse is basically like using the RM68. The only hard part is avoiding lock ons. And that ain't even difficult you just fly low or around a corner
Did you see how low his NB health drop after beeing shoot from multiple enemies? That is the proof this game is broken. Every one else, noob or other average player would be dead in a minute.
@@markmc5112 Changing to rifle aim, that Silk or Ghostgaming talked about recently, it takes a while to get used to but it's absolutely worth it, yeah. Like in previous games, only that 1% or even the 0.1% get good though to be practically invincible in air. The 99% will be cannon fodder for every random casual. I wouldn't know how to balance it. Skull should be rewarded but I don't want 100-0 people in my lobby.

Everything has counters really, I take out nightbirds with the Apache and hokum all the time and also with the jets and ground vehicles. The hardest Heli to fight a nightbird with is the stealths but they're super accurate so just focus on the pilot seat and hope they're not amazing pilots themselves lol
