  • The vintage caravan renovations continue..
    It's slow going but the demo is almost complete, we are counting down the days until we can start making our caravan look pretty and start to plan the final layout. We are still undecided on the floor plan, so we would love your help! Any great ideas on how you think we should set it up? Leave a comment below and let us know.

    Good to see you’re doing the chassis. Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏼

    Very helpful bits and ideas. Funny your proposed layout is same as mine after 6 rigs and 6years permanent travel. So if you got to this on your first you'll be just fine. As this was 2 yrs ago, I'll search for later videos. cheers

    how fun is chassis prep, think I spent nearly 2 weeks on it with a grinder, all painted now though, satisfying once complete, looking forward to the next update mate.. we can have a caravan build off lol, literally at the same stage as yourself.... although I' making all new roof hatches x3 and every window as the originals are all in fairly poor condition, as my build is more based around a tiny home type space than a van reno it should be all good..

    The hole allows you to lower the table to a bed in some vans

    • @DylanGaston
      @DylanGaston  Před 3 lety +1

      Anita Foster Well the original weight was about 1100kg, so I would love to end up around that if possible 👌🏽

      @@DylanGaston that’s pretty good older vans look deceiving look heavy but yours would weigh less than ours ✌️

    Hey guys, what size & type of timber did you use for the framework? My franklin has almost none in any of the walls!

    • @DylanGaston
      @DylanGaston  Před 3 lety +2

      Sarah Vella The frame work for the walls was 22x35 pine that I ripped down from 90x35 and the roof was 70x45 treated pine.
