I respect your move to buy 21K of CRM stock for reasons provided at $302/share. However, it seems a bit contradictory to your previous sell of 70% of your CRM holdings at $212/share just 10 months ago from your Story portfolio. How do you reconcile this decision? But any time I stack up Adobe against Salesforce I personally feel that Salesforce has a much more predictable moat. I just think it's so much more difficult to compete with Salesforce by trying to replicate their software or bid for their customer base than it is Adobe. Adobe makes some great stuff, and I'm a customer of the creative cloud. But I'm concerned that there's so many video editing tools and photo editing tools. And I an unable to determine if AI helps adobe or hurts them. In the case of Salesforce again I think it's very clear AI will only help them. So for me the primary reason was I think Salesforce has a more reliable and predictable moat going forward than Adobe. That means I consider Adobe a bit riskier, not that I think it will do poorly.

I used to be a car guy. All my money went towards modifying my car. I had a quick little hatchback. All it did was lead to more maintenance costs and speeding tickets. That young couple are pissing away $3000 a month in car loans....which is most peoples home monthly mortgage payments. In order for them to do that, they should be living in a paid for home and have a combined salary of $300k. You should make a shorts channel to drive viewership. I feel like the personal finance shorts are in short supply, and of that small supply, not many of them are that great. Not a fan of the CRM purchase but like the UNP cut. I think you have better options than CRM with the UNP proceeds'. I would almost say most of your other holdings I would have liked to see that money go into over CRM especially in this market.
Agreed on CRM. With how bad of a job the CEO has done in the past, and how recklessly he was wasting money on things like acquiring Slack, I don't trust for a second that he'll stick to his current frugal behavior.
Forward P/E is 30 and they’re growing at insane rates considering how mature/large the business is. It’s not the boldest buy but it’s a much better investment than Costco.
If you have to finance any car that's over $50k, that means you can't afford it. Back in 2017, I did finance a new Tacoma but I paid it off in 3 years. I currently share my driving between a 2014 Sonata and that 2017 Tacoma. There's no way I'd finance a car today....nope. If I couldn't buy a new car with cash, then I'd look to buy a used car with cash.

Just commenting on the tiktok about the girl who's husband bought a $78,000 truck. YIKES! Got my 2017 Toyota Camry in 2019 for just under $22,000 We financed half, and paid it in 2 years. Best car I've ever owned. Whew!
I just had to run the numbers on that truck. If they got a vehicle that was half the cost (still $39,000 which is way more than I ever spent on a vehicle) and put the other $800 per month in some 12% per year ETF, at the end of the 6 year loan they'd have $83k in addition to the paid off vehicle.
I'm astonished that you actually spent 26k on a car. My wife and I never buy any car for more than 15k and it must have at least 100k miles on it to make sure its properly "broke in" and is proven dependable. Anyone who pays 80 to 100k on a set of wheels needs to have their head examined.

One big reason for UNP increased debt is maintenance and derailment. About 2 years ago they had 2 derailments and one bridge failure while a train was crossing. All happened in a matter of months from each other in about a 60 mile radius of me. Im sure theres plenty more incidents farther away that i dont know about. Im sure they had quite a bit of expense in cleaning that up plus increased the preventive maintenance fund. I hold UNP. will continue holding for now.

Great video! I also think CRM is solid at the moment and they've made some prudent changes, however at some point they'll need to account for the Slack overpayment. Jimmy's investing? I can't remember the channel name exactly did a good video on this. At the moment there's an intangible asset of $26bn on the balance sheet for Slack which at some point will likely need to get written down to it's true value based on revenue contributions, when that happens it will hit the income statement as a loss maybe by as much as $10bn, unless they can turn Slack around significantly.

That young couple are pissing away $3000 a month in car loans....which is most peoples home monthly mortgage payments. In order for them to do that, they should be living in a paid for home and have a combined salary of $300k. I'm in a household with a combined salary of $450k and we would never pay that much on car loans !

You should make a shorts channel to drive viewership. I feel like the personal finance shorts are in short supply, and of that small supply, not many of them are that great. You ALWAYS provide quality content. You don't even have to make separate videos for the shorts, just do random snippets from videos from your main and after hours channels. Like your advice to this girl on TikTok would be perfect short-form content.

Not a fan of the CRM purchase but like the UNP cut. I think you have better options than CRM with the UNP proceeds'. I would almost say most of your other holdings I would have liked to see that money go into over CRM especially in this market.
I dont think its a bad long term buy, I just think there are many better compounders at better prices.

Agreed on CRM. With how bad of a job the CEO has done in the past, and how recklessly he was wasting money on things like acquiring Slack, I don't trust for a second that he'll stick to his current frugal behavior.

Forward P/E is 30 and they’re growing at insane rates considering how mature/large the business is. It’s not the boldest buy but it’s a much better investment than Costco.

If you have to finance any car that's over $50k, that means you can't afford it. Back in 2017, I did finance a new Tacoma but I paid it off in 3 years. I currently share my driving between a 2014 Sonata and that 2017 Tacoma. There's no way I'd finance a car today....nope. If I couldn't buy a new car with cash, then I'd look to buy a used car with cash.

Just commenting on the tiktok about the girl who's husband bought a $78,000 truck. YIKES! Got my 2017 Toyota Camry in 2019 for just under $22,000 We financed half, and paid it in 2 years. Best car I've ever owned. Whew!
I just had to run the numbers on that truck. If they got a vehicle that was half the cost (still $39,000 which is way more than I ever spent on a vehicle) and put the other $800 per month in some 12% per year ETF, at the end of the 6 year loan they'd have $83k in addition to the paid off vehicle.
I'm astonished that you actually spent 26k on a car. My wife and I never buy any car for more than 15k and it must have at least 100k miles on it to make sure its properly "broke in" and is proven dependable. Anyone who pays 80 to 100k on a set of wheels needs to have their head examined.

Loved this video! You got me on your Fools joke coz you had me searching about Costco's return policy (lol!). I also loved the detailed analysis on Salesforce - being a Salesforce employee, I myself learnt some new tidbits from this video about my company's products and surely it was good to see the valuation metrics from your perspective. Marc Benioff and his leadership team continue to reinforce the performance based culture which I surely believe will expand operating margins further over the years, while at the same time get back into top line growth mode (especially with Data Cloud) to increase shareholder value.

One big reason for UNP increased debt is maintenance and derailment. About 2 years ago they had 2 derailments and one bridge failure while a train was crossing. All happened in a matter of months from each other in about a 60 mile radius of me. Im sure theres plenty more incidents farther away that i dont know about. Im sure they had quite a bit of expense in cleaning that up plus increased the preventive maintenance fund. I hold UNP. will continue holding for now.
But Salesforce’s ROIC is still so low. Shouldn’t that factor into your analysis to buy?

Good call on CRM. I had it a few years back, but I had to sell it. I also work as a Salesforce Developer and I believe they have very strong fundamentals.
Great video! I also think CRM is solid at the moment and they've made some prudent changes, however at some point they'll need to account for the Slack overpayment. Jimmy's investing? I can't remember the channel name exactly did a good video on this. At the moment there's an intangible asset of $26bn on the balance sheet for Slack which at some point will likely need to get written down to it's true value based on revenue contributions, when that happens it will hit the income statement as a loss maybe by as much as $10bn, unless they can turn Slack around significantly.
So costco is still ok to buy?😢
