    Hi Mason, you can certainly mount the sensors to the wall as long as the surface will be clean and dry and the tape will stick.

    Do you know the range of the device? Is it Wifi only? Or, is it LTE (Cellular)?

      Hello Mark, The 5802wxt is rated at 150ft. typical open air indoor/outdoor range. It talks over a Honeywell 5800 series 345 mHz RF frequency.
