I didn't get an allowance as a kid, I was allowed to live at my house. Looking back on it, I'm grateful for it.

We had no food at home sometimes so what allowance she is talking about. When I grow up definitely I don't want to be like you but wished I was your mother, I would make u smell those slippers and slaps n put you to work to pay rent n food. Me neighter, parents provide food, education, a bed and the needed clothes. For other things you need to get a job or do big chores. Thats how it should be.

True but she does need to give her daughter a reality check instead of letting this go on. The best thing to do would be to cut off her allowance completely and any spending money she gets has to come from her job.
At least she realized her mistake. It would've been worse if she just let it go on, but she was able to recognize her mistake and is now attempting to fix it.

At fifteen my allowance was $15.00 a week for mowing the yard,washing the cars,keeping the house neat and pulling weeds. It was less than that when I was a younger kid,but 15 dollars if I saved up bought me some killer CDs,SNES games and guitar songbooks where my 5 dollar a week allowance from ages 9 to 14 unless I saved bought me a comic book,a candy bar,baseball cards and a soft drink and depending on the change three balls on pinball and three chances on video arcade machine.
That's the similar kind of lifestyle I went through and I'm grateful for that, since I have learnt to value money because of that

I never met my father but my mother kept me, raised me, even after she got married to another man. I’m happy I wasn’t aborted, or give up for adoption. At least I know my mother. She did her best and so did my adopted father and family.

I work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m to 8 p.m sometimes and still I don't get $5000 plus I a a single mom.

my family picked up a method from my cousins, give allowance depending on age. they had to increase it when i became a full time student doing a bachelors (i needed lunch money and to save up for school supplies), but it always worked well when i was younger. saved up for 3 years as a kid so i could get a dog ^_^ would recommend other parents do the same, as long as your kid does a few chores ;-)

Ok I’m ngl I actually sympathize here. When your life has been a certain way since the beginning it’s EXTREMELY hard for one to change. Sure for most peope it’s easy to look and say “wow this is a meaningless and spoiled problem she should just live like normal” but for her this IS normal. Taking away a lifestyle after having it is genuinely one of the hardest things a person can deal with.
