Trouble is, the initial startup sound is of a radial. The Merlin and Griffon (as far as remember from my tour on the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight) never sounded like this. The Dakota, however, did.
It is not start up of the radial, the initial high pitch sound reminds me inertia starter from Me-109, in spitfire there is electric starter and cranking speed is much lower then here.
in less than 24h after Flying Iron released this new version 1.1.0 they released a version 1.1.0 hotfix 1 (Hotfix 1 includes fixes for the missing clipped wings, as well as the missing cannon barrels). You mentioned it in your great video. And I learned why I could not blow up the engine because it's a setting on the tablet. The spit is even better and it was already a jewel.
Glad they fixed the flight model. It was on a par with the Extra originally 😁. Sadly I bought via the marketplace. The Hawk still isn't there are more than a month so not optimistic 😢
Door should be on the latch for take off/landing, the canopy can't be closed if you've got the door latch in the right place. It's to stop the canopy rails buckling and the canopy jamming shut during a crash. Nice review, thanks.

Hello Mark, how are you, I have two problems with the recent Spitfire update on Xbox, First, the engine turns off while flying with full propeller after around 4-5 minutes. Second, the airplane tends to roll to right side (I think this is natural), is setting rudder trim enough (I set it to the end: -8 degrees) or I should do something else too, for example aileron trim? (If there is any in Spitfire). Can you tell me what to do? Thanks.
Mainly rudder trim, but a little aileron trim as well. The engine cuts most likely because you are over heating it. Keep RPM to no more than 2650…prop lever.
After this update I have noticed that the c172 wobbles a lot and throughout the flight when I turn AP on. Didn't do it before the update. Anyone know how I can fix this issue?
My installation is nothing short of disappointing,on start I'm not in the cockpit but looking at the nose and can read 100 octane.That's as far back as I can get,lowering the view has me looking at what I assume is the firewall.Outside view is ok and I've contacted flying iron and have to wait to see what they come back with.I always start hot.....................
@@SimHangerFS -Actually after 5 tries and frustration she finally updated. And I absolutely love the fighter. I flew over Africa yesterday afternoon with the clouds hanging low and listened to the gorgeous Rolly Royce humming. Thanks. :)
Love it. I am having a strange issue with not being able to use the tablet. I can get the tablet up and turned on. But my mouse pointer will not interact with anythin on the screen. I have tried to change to the default mouse settings in control options, but no luck.
@@StuTheMoose I'm using that mod, yes. I tried to disable the mod, but still no luck. I'll have to do some further investigation as to why this happens. Must be some sort of conflict with one of my other mods. I'm usually quite good at keeping them updated, but obviously something is not as it should. Thanks for the tip, anyway :)
@@mvhsm Actually, I haven't flown the Spitfire since I had the tablet issue. Kind of forgot this whole thing. Thanks for reminding me, though. I'll have a look into this as soon as I'm back in the sim. I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Aircraft in MSFS do seem to fishtail quite easily. Make sure your not over speeding also.

Hi Russell, that is weird …I’ve not had than issue. Try going to camera and reset view. Also try ctrl 0
I'm glad you guys like this plane because the package update keeps failing for me 3 times now on Xbox. It is a waste of money for me.
Try uninstall and reinstall.

Check your cockpit camera setting, sometimes clicking reset can help.
Hi Haakon, do you use the "Shift-Z" mod? That is causing the issue with the tablet.

Where’s the smoke? I remember lots of startup smoke with a Spitfire I used to fly in FSX.
