Can confirm 5/29/24 he’s still there. I had to leave and go back to sorrow's harbor and travel back a few times but then he was there. Appreciate the vid!

Confirmed as of now 1/1/24 12:52AM EST, that this poor goblin is still there! HOWEVER, if you don't see it, try clearing out EVERYTHING then killing that giant minotaur. If it doesn't spawn still, just fast travel back to Sarrow Harbor, and try again. Thank you for the smooth video!

20/7/24 can confirm he's still there. Bring him down to half health and stun, run around and kill other things, then return to him and abuse the poor dude again until you are done. Thanks for the video!

@@warrenbadial2838 if you've cleared all the vex from the portal and he doesn't appear, return to orbit then come back. Some people have said that restarting the game also helps. Hope this works for you
@@warrenbadial2838 yes so at first when I went in bro I was watching “sk8s” video at the same time and in the video u see the homies already chillin waitin to be offed butttt when I went in there was nothing but a couple vex there. So I got bumed out then decided it didn’t work anymore and killed all the vex after that NOTHING HAPPEND still lol but I didn’t know sk8s comment section would be like opening a book of information. I went BACK TO LOCATION and finished the vex and waited a little but after and BOOM silently homie spawned in bro.

I used strong dedicated weapon ARBALEST against barrier Champions.
This weapon only can do this in my case.

dont restart just go back to character select or even orbit, everythings server sided so restarting the game won't affect anything

5/18/24 This exact location is where the barrier champions do spawn. If champions aren’t present, return back to orbit and go to the location again.

3.20.24 - worked for me. Had to clear adds and giant minotaur, walk around a bit and he spawned in. Appreciate it!!

Quick note: If you're the one who found the goblin first, try to clear out EVERYTHING till the giant minotaur. This enables the following players to arrive at a new spawn goblin. Cheers, and good luck!

I can also confirm as 1/8/24 2:20AM CT. This Goblin is here. My first visit he wasn’t there, the 2nd time I fast travel he wasn’t there and lastly I closed the game and came back for the 3rd time and he was there. Tyty 😄
Killed him without me checking my progress I had to go back. For the 4th time he wasn’t there. I cleared all the mobs, went afk for a couple mins and he was there.

If you go and he’s not there right away just kill the ads until the mini boss or whatever shows up kill that and he should pop up. Thats what happened for me at least

I tried everything from the seasonal artifact and it didn't work until I used piercing sidearm with the trespasser. Something seems buggy

There are also two barrier knights that spawn in the scarlet keep and an unstoppable ogre does spawn in the scarlet keep as well but i forgot the route i took to find them.
I'll check this out. If the route isn't too bad, I'll add it to my next video. Also, if you remember the unstoppable location, please lmk and I'll credit you in the next video

Nope! I can confirm as of right now that this still works, but it took three tries of killing the big Minotaur boss and resetting until it showed up! Thanks for the video

Does it respawn after killing it? I just killed the barrier 5/23/24 and im curious if it respawns?
It does respawn but I'm not sure about the timeframe
@sk8inPingwin I'm guessing it's not right away lol. I tried fast traveling back to sorrows harbor and going back in there and it wasn't there. I tried it 4 times and nothing so I found another video of another barrier, I only needed 2 to finish leveling up. Thank you for your video🥰

Still works, i was following comments and killed the vex then went back to sorrows horror about 5/6 times and he didnt show up, so i just killed all the vex and stood looking away from his spawn and he spawned in a couple mins later and he spawned in
3/28/24, seems to no longer work. Waited 20 minutes, cleared ads and minotaur twice.
Have you tried returning to orbit and then headed back to the spot? That worked for me last week when I checked it.
He is still here, you just need to wait….to wait!

Its 1st June and he was not there 1st time, i cleared everything fast travel back to harbor and came back and there he was.

Even after killing all the Vex from the portal and returning to orbit? If it still doesn't work, restart your game and then head back there. The hobgob should pop up then

I killed him by mistake yesterday and now he wont show up. I tried today too but nothing. Is it a one time thing ?
I doubt it. He only has a chance to spawn. I have been to this location many times since making this video. The hobgob showed up about 7 out of 10 times. Just keep at it or head to today's legendary lost sector and work your way to the barrier champions in there.

I don't believe so. I have all of the dlc but I'm about 90% sure I did this before buying Shadowkeep. Just be sure to kill all of the Vex that come from the portal at the back of the room, including the boss. Return to orbit and then head back to the cave and the hobgob should spawn.
He's no longer there
Have you killed all the Vex that come out of the portal in the back of the room? Once you've done that, reload the area and try to find him again. Some people returned to orbit then went back to the cave and found it. Lmk what happens and I'll do what I can to help you.

My apologies. Been on vacation so I haven't had signal to respond. Try returning to orbit and then heading back to the location. Some people have even said he only spawned after restarting the game.
From all the comments I've accessed there is about a 90% chance the hobgob will spawn. If you fall into that other 10%, he will spawn eventually. Unfortunately you just have to keep trying or brave a legendary lost sector and work your way to the barrier champs in there.
I hope this helps you get to the guardian rank you desire.
Do you get something for killing it?
I guess there's always a chance for a drop but nothing specific I believe. This guide is just for people needing help completing the "Break Barrier Champions barries" challenge.

I just checked this out, Hobgoblin is not there anymore. I cleared all the adds and killed the mini-boss Vex. Not sure if they patched it out
I just re-ran the route and he's there for me. Some people have reported that you need to kill the mini-boss from the Vex portal before the hobbygob will show up but that wasn't the case for me. But I'm here right now and it's there. Lmk if you go back and it still doesn't spawn.

@@sk8inPingwin Thank you man, that did the trick. Looks like you have to kill the Vex mini boss at the portal first, and after you reload/re-zone the little Barrier Hob spawns
Worked for me too, killed the mini boss and just waited about 5 mins and the hobgoblin spawned for me

or you just jump in hero or above activity and get gear , ressources , xp , ....
True but I tried that and everyone else kept killing the barriers before I could even swap to my barrier break weapon. There's a reason all of these people came here to watch this guide. Sometimes other players get in the way of your progress, especially if their builds are way crazier than yours.
