    Similar to the panel idea, I'm planning on using a 3 Yard Quilt pattern for a t-shirt quilt. We found some old t-shirts from when my daughter was a child, but I can still get 8 to 10 inch blocks out of them. Of course, with t-shirts, they have to be stabilized to hold the shape. But it should work just fine in a large block pattern.

    A baby kangaroo is a joey. Love these patterns. If you have panel blocks that are smaller than pattern calls for, just add some strips around the cut panel unit to bring it up to size. Such great ideas. Thanks.

    I wish I could come to Houston but there's no way. Just not doing the traveling anymore. But, maybe you could look into coming to the Phoenix Sewing and Craft Festival, held the last weekend in January. It's a 3-day event and very popular. A lot of designers give a class and of course, have a booth to sell their products. Would love to meet you all. I love what you've done with the panels. How about a large panel that can't be cut. Can you show us how to fit some blocks around them?

    • @FabricCafe
      @FabricCafe  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hi Michelle! We do have a pattern that can utilize a single large fabric in the center, I will link it here - www.fabriccafe.com/Big-Picture-3-Yard-Quilt-Pattern-p/091521.htm - Another idea would be to possibly cut up the single large panel into smaller squares and have them arranged across the quilt in a way that would keep them in order and when you looked at the quilt in full the image of the panel would appear. That idea may be a little more complicated, but could work and be fun. We are working on creating more patterns that utilize fabric panels, but don't have many at the moment. 😢🤞🏼

    • @FabricCafe
      @FabricCafe  Před rokem +1

      Hi ReRe! We don't have any additional 3-yard quilt patterns exclusively for panels. One idea would be to use our Lickity Split pattern and don't strip piece the vertical rows. Just cut the length out of the panel, add any extra to reach the needed length of 54 1/2", and then assemble with the sashing strips. It would be a cool affect if you are using a scenic panel like trees. - Fran
