As an IU fan who watched him play most games last year, I'd say this is an extremely fair evaluation. Love the work that goes into this channel!
Most All-Star level NBA players that aren't bigs have a very effective pull up jumper. This is one of the more underrated skills of JHS that could translate well in the NBA.
If he can do this in an NBA level, his upside is sky high.
This is the first year I've watched, but discovering this channel I am blown away by the work you put into these videos. I want the Thunder to draft about 10 different players because you do such a great job of highlighting peoples strengths, while being honest and fair about what they need to work on. One thing to note is due to Xavier Johnson’s injury early on, JHS was our only point guard and was asked to do a lot more (and play a lot more) than expected. Great breakdown, hoping he goes to a good fit like Miami or Utah.

I see Jamal Murray in his game hope he improves his 3pt shooting
Pretty concerned about his shot diet and lack of slashing threat. Then the advanced stats look scary in a bad way too.
Damn but love his feel and decisions in PnR as well as his smooth middy. Plus he’s 6’6” in shoes with a 6’10” wingspan that’s incredible for a PG. If he was just a little more of an explosive athlete OR if his 3 was a tiny bit more consistent.. he’s top 10 in almost any other draft
Yup that's the thing for me their are a lot of unathletic guards/ guards who aren't great slashers or finishers that have fund success in the league DeAngelo Russell, cj McCollum, Steve Nash, Allen Houston just to name a few but the difference all those guys were lights out shooters from mid range and/or three the be a non explosive guard with shooting questions is really scary... Still I do like his game if you can promise me he'll become a better overall 3 point shooter than I think he's good enough to take late in the lottery depending on the team of course

as a raptors fan i think i want hood schifino more then kobe bufkin, this kid is a brick wall and uses his body alot on both sides of the ball. He's got reasonable handles and his movement scoring in the midranges keeps his options open when stretchin defenses. plus it's not like he didn't make 3's he just didn't seem to focus on being a 3 point shooter if it limited his attack to the paint. Hood and Scottie would have incredible passing possessions

@@Loganandvintagepapisnumber1h8r i personally project bufkin to be a major injury candidate, he's REALLY slight of frame to be finishing his drives off balance and falling down as much as he does, hood schifino is a brick wall, kid is sturdy and doesn't move in comprising ways like kobe does
I would not mind the hawks getting him if Cason Wallace isn’t there but he kind of has Dejounte Murray syndrome where he sometimes hunt mid range shots, not much of a free throw guy and the jump-shot from 3 is a mixed bag. Still like the footwork and defensive discipline.

I think he becomes an underrated star. I love so much about his game and being on the big stage doesn’t phase him at all. He just turned 20 and he plays at his own pace. I don’t believe this he’s not explosive talk. I also believe he’ll get playing time and Dlo may not get brought back because of this pick lol Look at their game and compare them 😴
Im with you. He won’t be a player talked much about because there nothing flashy in his game but his impact will be felt in a way like Murray who I compare him to offensively and possibly his ceiling if he reaches to his best potential. And Murray also isn’t someone talked about enough but now is because he won a championship.

Anthony Black is a much better all around/poa defender while also having some Josh giddey esque passing feel. JHS is solid at a lot of things but not great at really anything where Anthony Black is quite special in those two categories.
