  • This routine is created by 17th generation master Chen Fake based on Chen Lao Jia Yi Lu form. Compared to the Lao Jia Yi Lu form, the Xin Jia routine has more apparent silk reeling (chansijing 缠丝劲)movements, more explosive release of energy (fa qing' 发劲 ) and increased movements per posture. The Xin Jia routine trains your core and helps you to develop your inner strength.

Is this the same as ma Hong Chen tai chi? I think that has 83 or 85.
I would also love if you put a back view of the entire new frame on you tube or your Patreon section.
Many of us learn Best by simply following your steps over and over to get the complete flow of the tai chi. The spilt screen would give the best of both learnings.
Unfortunately for me (I don’t know how others do it), in the “facing view” all the movements are reverse direction and it’s very difficult to translate left right while you are doing it.
If you actually put split screen (front and back) on simultaneous, and did the same (split views) with your teaching, your videos would be the best on you tube or dvd.
Unfortunately almost everyone spends time teaching from front and just reviewing with back views. Making it very difficult to really understand the intricacies .
I have a couple of suggestions from one who spends a lot of extra effort uncoupling all the moves; that would make your videos the “best” for the average American who wants to learn it.
Your actual movements are extremely good and very clear but feeling the flow, as almost a “spiritual dance” would make learning pleasurable and not just a collection of individual gymnastic movements.
I have been practicing the old form Chen Laojia yilu over and over many times each day and are starting to feel how smooth and beautiful it is
your movements are beautiful!! I not a martial arts type person at 74; but love beauty and grace you got it.

Sorry there is a very very beautiful I think different Chen tai chi on you tube that’s also billed as 83 without a specific name.
One commenter said it’s a Chen zhou kui form and ma hong was one of his students??
Unfortunately I’m just a novice American student in Seattle WA, who at 74 years old, has become very interested (maybe a bit obsessed) in Chen tai chi and practices daily by watching and following your 74 back view.
The tai chi master in the “form” I mentioned
Previously is doing it too fast and the hand motion intricacies too complex to easily unpack it.
Your movements in 74 laojia are very clear and your speed is much easier to follow you. I just play it over and over and each time try to pick up more without any expectations about it. I just try to feel the rhythmic flow and play my own beautiful American music in the background. It’s “real senior” therapy.
I do not think yours and the other one previously mentioned are the same.
Anyway keep up your excellent work. For novices like me, your videos are great!

Here is the video I mentioned previously. There is also a back view version but it hides most of the Hand motion intricacies.
