They were following Nu’est trends back in 2012 as Nu’est got really famous because of how catchy “Face” was.
Then Pledis went and destroyed Nu’est for good by the end of the next year, instead of properly managing them.
Thus Exo managed to become really famous by 2014, and they started becoming the new clothing trends for the rest of the idols.
