This is the most effective solution to homelessness... Give them a home ❤
and a stable, lawful, safe space.
Yes, I do agree as a Texas native give the homeless a home.😊😊❤❤ I think we need to push this program forward. What I think they need is an exercise ground and a basketball ground.
Yea incentivizing a home for being homeless surely won't cause any more homeless 🙄🙄🙄
@@bunkyspunkmeyer You're talking about different matters. We're talking about how to solve the current problem. Creating programs that will deter homelessness in the future is a worthy conversation, but sperate.
I cldn't agree more I'm homeless and need one so bad
This place is great. Your own space, food and community. We need this in WAY more communities. Maybe then we can start to make this country a bit better to live in.
If these guys have been homeless since 1990!!!!!! That should tell you ALL something!!! 😢WOW!
I like how colorful these tiny homes are. It lifts the spirit.
Thank u for helping these people.
Peace, hope, love. This is the Texas I remember, the texts I miss, glad to see it's still alive in austin.
Congrats to all the people who were involved in this awesome project! Hoping that more will follow to make a better place to all people who needs it badly and have a better life!
Fantastic idea.....now I hope the residents take CARE of this place.....no drugs, no trash, no crime....or GET OUT!!!
Yes! better encourage these organisations.
Tackling homelessness is going to be a very large challenge. And the best way to do it is with nonprofits and Very large donors who want to open up their pockets instead of buying foolishness
Love it! A hand up not out
Love it! More please!!
This is inspiring i want to help. I live in South Austin and know I can help this community thrive
Tiny homes concept needs to be the upgrade for many mobile home parks and new tiny town communities .
👍🙏
This is wonderful.
Yes. This is the way to go.
Adding this to canada playlist homeless housing programs...looking at peoples solutions so we can expand these ideas into canada to fix our housing issues
We need this in Canada we have too many people die in the cold
Wow AMAZING 🤩 and they live in a fairly WARM climate too bravo 👏🏻 to the people there, who did this! Hopefully they build 10 to 20 extra houses as well for people that may come along later on as well, so that people who come along later will also have something! Because woman’s shelters are terrible, AND they actually NEED to make permanent housing for people as well because I’m sure that finding decent homes or even a job will also be nearly impossible!
Those shacks are embarrasing for how much they pay for them, it seems just like a scam to guarantee the sales of those overpriced, underfeatured shacks.
How can a person who is homeless and is on disability I need a tiny house cause I'm by myself
Would love to see an interior!
Aww ❤️
I applaud what they’re doing but you have to ask yourself what happened to America and where are we headed
Its an amazing thing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So much better than most homeless camps and tiny villages. Bravo!
They need to work for their tiny home.
Great it's working out for those that want help. Now interview the businesses near this location. I think you'll find a very different story.
oh mr dejoria! he was nice when i worked at the country club he was a member. nice fam. he had a SLR at the time. very nice. he is the john paul in john paul mitchell hair products and he owns a liquor company iirc.
As long as drugs and alcohol are not involved
This need to a mandatory nation side.
Hope hope hope ,💪🖐️♥️🕊️🗺️
We Would like to see Inside one of these New Homes 2-14-24
Great idea. But is it self-sustaining, meaning the occupants pay something reasonable for living there (which building tiny makes it possible to do)? Or will it be dependent on others to maintain & pay for services? This news story never said. I think it's an important question. Do you?
I would like to build something like this in my community. How can I get started?
Welp. Hopefully the organizer actually runs the community unlike so many others.
Not trying to be cruel but how do you stay homeless for 34 years
Where are the squatters?
This is only long/short term transitional housing.
Sigh, just give them permanent housing and be done with the nonsense. Finland did with a high level of sucess.
Bathrooms or???
Im homeless from India, please help me, I'm a Christian, i do evangelism, but i have no home,so i face many problems
💪😭🥲🥰📖
Is there a contact number
Wonderful news. Get veterans off the streets.
A hand UP, not a hand out. ✌
That's what this is
That was my point. 😉
Geeeeee, nice walk-in closet! 😂😂😂😂😂the dignity, eh! 😂😂😂😂
That's unnecessary
I like the idea. But shower, bathroom, kitchen, & laundry facilities are a must. I dont believe in human dog houses. The dignity comes with hygiene, washing yourself, washing your clothes, a restroom & someplace to fix your food.
So, me too I'm gonna stop paying my monthly rent, be evicted, be homeless and me too gets a free apartment and save on paying monthly Santa Monica high rent. Furthermore, this my idea shall be adopted by 100 million renters nationwide as well.
My question was, do the occupants pay what would be a reasonable price since tiny is cheaper? Or is it dependent on others paying to maintain the whole thing? This news story never even brought that up. Kind of important. Because you're right.
They'll just trash em
The city near me has has this type of community for over 4 years. They have on-site management, no drug and alcohol permitted and problem makers are evicted. So far uts been peaceful and the residences maintained.
Nice 🙄 because every poor person in the world also lacks manners... having manners makes you not poor...and every person named Carol is obsessed with Christmas songs
