- I took the stone top table I made last week and made a herringbone pattern top for it. It can now be used as a bench, or a table, and can be sold for much more profits on the marketplace, without the cost of the tiles, and pallet wood I used for the herringbone pattern is free. Enjoy the build!

Nice build !
Thanks!
I usually cut proud and use a flush trim bit in that situation.
Looks good!
That's a great idea, I've yet to integrate using the flush trim bit into my workflow and I should definitely do stuff like that. Thanks for watching!
Hey Mat. Love your videos man.
Can you tell me what metal detector are you using?
Does it find smaller stuff like staples as well?
Has it ever failed on you and missed a nail that could damage your saw/planer?
Looking to get one soon and want something reliable. Thanks in advance.
Hi, Thanks! Always glad to hear it,
www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01N0OHBCB/
This is what I got, it's not a known brand but it had better reviewers than other china models.
Good question, it has not failed me on anything major, but if you've broken appart pallets, you know some nails have a very small wire around them, or some kind of metal residue they leave behind, well it has missed that. Else i've not seen it miss even the tiniest of tips of staples and whanot.
Thanks for watching!
9:00 that “oops” when trimming off the excess had to be so frustrating!
Sure was, I've not often done modifications on finished stuff, so I wasn't careful enough. Lesson learned!
@@Mat_Builds you handled it very well!
