    You gotta love Freya's blunt honesty... "I cried, I have no idea what that means, It's awesome." But seriously though... That is so crazy that they left all that wreckage there! Nice hike and vlog but I felt the sobering, sad feeling you were talking about seeing the spot where all those people lost their lives. What a place to visit.

    That was moving. I watched this with Miriam, and she had all sorts of questions about why the plane crashed. She has never seen snow so it was hard to explain why it could be dangerous. Thanks for taking us up on your hike to a historical site.

      @gettingoutwiththekids  Před 3 lety +1

      @filamstagram Před 3 lety

      @@gettingoutwiththekids Yes, she is obsessed with the idea of snow. Someday we'll go to the US and she'll have her fill. In the meantime she is content looking for snow and penguins in Antarctica using Google Earth.

    How long did it take you from snakes pass to reach the crash site?

    • @gettingoutwiththekids
      @gettingoutwiththekids  Před 2 lety

      If I remember correctly it was about 40-60 mins. Thats with a break and walking with someone who has smaller legs. Its quite easy get too on a clear day from Snake Pass, not sure if you can park there at the moment as I read the road is currently closed.

    • @gettingoutwiththekids

      Ive heard it was due to the difficulties getting it off the moors but it wouldnt be that hard moving most of it. Im glad they left it though as it acts as a great memorial but very sobering seeing how bad the crash must have been.
