1942 Rose Bowl (Oregon State vs Duke) Colorized

Oregon State wins 20-16.The 1942 Rose Bowl was the 28th edition of the college football bowl game, played on Thursday, January 1, 1942. Originally scheduled for the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, it was moved to Durham, North Carolina, due to fears about an attack by the Japanese on the West Coast of the United States following the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.The original video is black and white with no sound. Video has been colorized, and sound design added for effect.

Strangely enough I hadn’t even known about this game until I saw a banner for it hanging in the Old Spaghetti Factory in Corvallis. So much history and so much going on in the world during this game. It’s crazy to think about
