We can gain a lot from each other. But I believe kaduna state and it’s leadership should govern the state in a way that encourages unity. Leadership should rise above pettiness and sentimentality and focus on the real issues affecting society- poverty, education, economic opportunity, infrastructure development and so on. Hunger affects everybody no matter your tribe or religion. Kaduna was the place to be 20 years ago. I grew up in kaduna. It was such a wonderful place. I use to play with my Muslim friends, eat in their houses and even sleep inside their house and the same thing happens in our houses. when it was time for sallah and Christmas we go to each other houses We did not have all this kind of divisions we have now. This is what the leadership in kaduna should aspire towards. Improving the welfare of the people should be the number one priority. Politics of division won’t help anybody in the long run really. The problem with Nigeria is that if you don't complain because you were wronged, people with see it as being alright. The Muslims who happened to be the absolute majority in Kaduna state suffered a huge form of marginalisation during the only Christian administration in the state. It has always been like that. When Christians are in power in any category, the first thing that they do is being biased to Muslims by employing and surrounding themselves with Christians all round. Now it's always obvious because Christians are simple minority in the states and furthermore, when investigated it is always found that the employments and benefits goes to members of their church. Now tell me why a Muslim will not be wary of this??? It got so bad that KASU was dominated all by Christians in Southern Kaduna, Lecturers, Students, Janitors, Securities, virtually everything. But do you know what? I put it to you and to everyone else with such notion that Muslims are not the majority in kaduna and Nigeria at large. But I believe kaduna state and it’s leadership should govern the state in a way that encourages unity. Leadership should rise above pettiness and sentimentality and focus on the real issues affecting society- poverty, education, economic opportunity, infrastructure development and so on. First, do you have the statistics to show that muslims are the absolute majority in Kaduna or in Nigeria at large? I served in Kaduna, and I know how almost the population of muslims and Christians balance out. If the population is different, it is absolutely marginal.
Second, could you give statistics of appointments of Patrick Yakowa that supported your assertion that he, Yakowa, marginalized muslims in his regime? From Obasanjo to Jonathan, could you provide us with facts that these people marginalized muslims in their regimes? Your comment is largely based on fallacy, misinformation and reeks of deep-seated hate and antagonistic propaganda your brand of islam has been hinged on.
Condemn what is wrong, whether it is Christian or Muslim, that is the way to go. Do not justify one wrong with another wrong.
I put it to you and to everyone else with such notion that Muslims are not the majority in kaduna and Nigeria at large. Every northern state has a sizable number of indigenous Christians, northern states like taraba, benue, plateau, abuja and nasarawa, have 85% Christian population, even the south west Christians are 50% while Muslims are 30% and traditional worshippers hiding under Islam are 30%.
By the grace of God I've been to every state and region in Nigeria, the north has big land mass but not big population, it also has one of the highest infant mortality rates in Nigeria.
Until a free and fair election is performed in Nigeria, you have no right to claim majority over anyone here.
