I honestly feel for her, I'm like the biggest fan but I know how certain stuff she's going through like Hashimoto's disease and child birth can affect the voice. I hope she takes time, practice and correct medication for her illness. Best of luck Leona!!
@ArmpitOfEurope well, when you've been singing that hard for that long, meanwhile aging, having a child, and dealing with autoimmune issues, you take the best route available to you. I'd much rather she play it safe live & preserve her voice rather than destroy it by trying to please us. She can still whip out the big notes here and there, but I think she's earned the right not to have to sing her face off everytime we see her for us to know that she's THAT GIRL.

The first 8 yesrs of her career where 1000's of live performances with one of the most difficult discographies. Also, her technique was extremely demanding and she was the last of the 'true' belters befire this 'light mix' mask placed high notes became vocal youtubes idea of 'perfect technique'...
@@ArmpitOfEurope its not cheating. This song is over 10 years old. Her voice & body is incredibly different & lets not forget she suffers from an autoimmune disease as well. Her voice will never be as strong as she used to be when she was in her 20’s. Its just fact. Leona knows this & rather than cause her voice vocal damage, she would prefer an easier way that doesn’t cause her voice to suffer
I saw her front row in Liverpool at the weekend for this show, and she’s even more incredible irl. I think she hit this note for the show I went to too, but the speakers were terrible and you couldn’t here her falsetto at all (unless it was just a front row problem- only two subwoofers and none to the side of the stage). Leona did not disappoint but the sound technicians/who are responsible for running of the show did her dirty.
She's been severely ill and the illness impacted her vocal folds. It isn't as easy at it seems to get the confidence back when you know your instrument can fail anytime. She's still awesome in my opinion =)

Mariah's voice significantly changed after 1997(only 7 years after her debut). Some people's vocal longevity is compromised due to age, lifestyle choices, or physical damage to the vocal cords.

Im sorry but this is nothing like her former self. Her mid range is nowhere NEAR as strong as once was... Very pitchy it throws the end chorus completely off. No. Just... No

Trust me or not, she didn't lip at all. The belting was too thin to be considered fake. She sang live with a live band behind her, 100%
