Scratchin' Melodii is a rhythm game by @LJ-LephemStar inspired by PaRappa the Rapper. This demo features new scoring mechanics, two more songs, and reworks of the old rival battles. The demo was supposed to be released for SAGE 2023, but it was delayed due to personal reasons.
One thing to note about this demo is that it is now impossible to attain 3D mode legitimately due to it being a buggy mess. The files for it still exist and it can only be achieved through hacking or cheating (video linked below). butter me up

grease poppin' sounds just as good as it ever did, but im really glad they redid melodii's vocals because they didn't sound like themself in the old one. cant wait for this game! also rensa's song is a complete bop!! love her!

i like how in this rhythm game you can follow the note they tell you to do or just say " FRICK IT , IMA DO MY OWN STUFF WITH THESE NOTE YOU GAVE ME"

@@Chastikan They do, the thing with freestyling afaik is you only use notes you already use in the line, so technically it's just switching up places and adding and not outright "wrong" verses.
You know this guy's good when he actually makes freestyling sound natural in some places (particularly the middle section of Stir and Mix)

Some say the 3D freestyle mode will be implemented later development according somewhere in Discord. Because maybe they need to fix it with a lot of bugs.

I love the UI updates they made. Much easier to know when it's your turn to play. The icons moving their mouths to sing is cute, and the way they start from way off the track and line up reminds me of Um Jammer Lammy.

@@Slineryo fairly sure they were talking about Melodii's "lines" in the songs and not the results screen. Because it's a really goofy thing to witness them going absolutely bananas and the other characters acting like everything is normal. Made me laugh many times, good stuff.

Let's go! When they said they would release this new update in September but didn't, I was a bit saddened. BUT. I just thought that they should take as much time as they want so that they can polish the game a bit more - and they did! The New UI, rating system, The new songs, the vocaloid's, everything! Lephemstar and the team did a really good job this year! :)

What controller do you use for this? I've tried a few different ones and find that using either an analog stick or dpad causes accidental mispresses in other directions when trying to do fast scratching segments. It seems like ideally this game would be best played with a controller that has separate buttons on the left side for the scratch directions (similar to a joycon)

Is it possible for you to go more indepth on some of the changes made from the 2022 demo? I notice the HUD is different at the very least (and less cruel I'm pretty sure since those pink lines came in fast)
I like playing this game, but the only problem I had was to be completely honest with you, I don't know how to say this, but my controller had some really bad delay issues. I was using a PlayStation 4 controller, I was able to get a few s ranks, somehow, despite all of the delay that I was experiencing
