    Hi Craig, great video! Judging from the sound of your video my personal favorite would be the more quite sound. It wouldn't bother anyone while idling but seems to be heard very well while ridding with that Harley deep roar we all like to hear.

    Sounds great, way too loud for me, I run stock on my Nomad. If I can here my pipes on the road at speed, it is too loud. But I do enjoy a good rumble going past.

      Hi Carlos, Sorry if I didn't appear enthusiastic. I think the Sharkroads do sound AMAZING in any configuration. After I got the Ivan flash I think it was better without any decel popping and cooler running. Overall the Sharkroad muffler is a deal!

      Corey, is the baffle the same length as the stock baffle? If its not you got the wrong baffle.

    Craig, would you say the wrapped “normal” baffles or the quiet baffles had the better sound/tone? Also the Sharkroad site/comments say they are not for the Kawasaki pipes, but these seem to be the only ones they offer?
    BTW, great videos and thanks for the sound tests

    • @craiggoldstein2461
      @craiggoldstein2461  Před 2 lety +3

      Frizzman, thank you for the complement. I think the best sound is the regular supplied Sharkroad baffle with wrapping. The now come wrapped by default from Sharkroad. I think my videos helped them come to that determination. Give them a try I think you are really going to like them!

    Hi Craig, Currently I ride a 2018 Kawasaki Versys 1000LT (got her new) but looking to trade her in for a more traditional looking feeling bike. At 6'2 I think it would be more comfortable to have my legs placed in front of me. My interests are in either the HD Electra Glide Standard or the Kawasaki Vaquero they are very similar looking bikes. I'm a bit on the fence on which to choose. I read within the HD community the new M8 engines run hot and like any bike have they own issues. What about the Vaquero, any heat issues in the mid summer days in stop and go traffic? I know the Voyager comes with some type of a fan system to misdirect the heat away from the driver so I'm wondering if Vaquero suffers from the same heat issues. Thanks in advance for your help.

    • @craiggoldstein2461
      @craiggoldstein2461  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Vadim, the Vaquero also runs hot. The Ivan tune/flash Helps with that. Both are great bikes and the one for you Is the one that speaks to you...the one that calls your name and begs you to ride it.

    Hi Craig... Really like your videos. I just purchased the shark road slotted mirrors for my 2020 Kawasaki Voyager. For me, it's way too loud. Before I put them on I looked inside and there's no wrap just the original baffle that came with the pipes. As one of the other commenters noted, it says on the shark road website that the quiet baffles don't fit with the Kawasaki pipes. Obviously they do work, you just proved it in your video. I'm wondering, did they fit like they were meant to fit or did you have to Jimmy them around to make them almost but not quite fit? I'm considering sending them back but I wanted to give this a try first but will be waiting for your response. Thanks look forward to seeing your reply. Another question, why would they say that can't be used with the Kawasaki, I don't get it!

    Hello Craig beautiful bike ,I'm from Montreal Canada and was wondering if sharkroad has a distributor in my country? You know because of our monopoly money! And also how was it running before yvan's because want to get the pipes and then later the flash ,don't want to mess up my bike. And is your backrest Kawasaki or grasshopper?

    • @craiggoldstein2461
      @craiggoldstein2461  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you Tony! I think Sharkroad will ship to Canada. Let me ask about that. if you add any aftermarket muffler to the Kawasaki's you will find that you will hear alot of popping on deceleration because of the fresh air induction system Kawasaki uses to burn any unburnt gas leaving the combustion chamber. The Ivan fixes that among a host of other things....You can run without the Ivan but not at its best. The backrest is grasshopper.

    Craig, did Ivan’s flash give anymore HP or torque? According to his website charts and improves both but many say they don’t feel anything. Do you notice anything? Thanks

    • @craiggoldstein2461
      @craiggoldstein2461  Před rokem +1

      Hi Jay, I believe there is a slight improvement but thats not what makes his flash so successful.....The bike wont pop on deceleration most prevalent by adding aftermarket mufflers, the bike will run cooler as he not only modifies the fuel and ignition timing but he turns the cooling fan on sooner. All throttle transition glitchy Ness is resolved making the bike just smoother and more enjoyable to operate.....

    • @jaybd9329
      @jaybd9329 Před rokem +1

      Craig , thanks for your reply. Here’s another question. I test drove one yesterday from a private seller. Bike was clean with lots of options and we agreed on a fair price. When I drove it it was so sluggish and backfired that it totally discouraged me. I realize Ivan’s flash would remedy the backfiring but I was not at all satisfied with the sluggish performance. I called Ivan and he said his power charts are based on wide open throttle and that the main improvements are cooling, power delivery, no more backfiring. My main concern is that if I buy the bike and put Ivan’s flash on it will I be satisfied with the power? I’m thinking I will be satisfied based on the vast positive comments I’ve read but I can’t be sure. I was prepared to buy the bike when I test rode it but the power is just making me pause. I told the guy I’m going to ponder this more and will get back with him. I know there’s a chance he could sell but then that would be my answer, which is how I’m going to look at it from a faith based point of view. Any thoughts to help me reconsider? Thanks for any object feedback to my dilemma.

    • @craiggoldstein2461
      @craiggoldstein2461  Před rokem +1

      @@jaybd9329 I am confident you will notice an improvement in overall performance. Many people say "The bike should have come this way from Kawasaki" or "I almost sold my bike before doing the Ivan".....I dont know what your used to or expect. If you want it to run as strong as a new HD 114 I think you'll be disappointed. If your used to a Goldwing or Sportbike I think you'll be disappointed. I can however say it'll fix a ton of issues with the stock programming that makes the bike a much more desirable motorcycle to ride.

      @@craiggoldstein2461 ok, thanks Craig. My reference point is my former 2016 Road King 103 which is the same as the 1700, stock everything, and my butt Dino felt about 30% more pull smoothly up the power band. I’m not expected Goldwing or the 114 HD, just a decent pull, which I now believe the Voyager can provide, especially based on all the satisfied customers of Ivan’s tune. If I get the bike I’ll get the tune and give you my feedback afterwards. Appreciated your feedback

    • @craiggoldstein2461

      It really did. Not only did the Deceleration popping stop, the bike ran noticeably cooler. Finally it smoothed out a few runability issues that stock Kawasaki 1700s occasionally suffer from. A worthy upgrade.
