My experience of the double vs the single layer hammocks when using a an inflatable sleeping mat, you're best sticking with the single layer. I find if you move about in a double layer the mat slips from under you and its a real bitch trying to readjust it back under you, not so much of an issue if you just have the mat in the hammock with you in a single skin.
