Who else is pretty good at speaking English but wants to have a British accent? I love the way she pronounces words 😊
The incredible Knuffibär Jeg også
After 6 months of practicing spoken English with a friend of mine from Britain, I could pick up a similar accent, but still lots of work ahead
Same here. Can't seem to develop any accent at all. Der Deutsche Akzent ist leider sehr dominant :D
jdhjdu Ich habe einen amerikanischen Akzent aber ich will auch britisch klingen können 😂
Woher hast du hauptsächlich Englisch gelernt?
My most embarrassing story at work was when I fell asleep (for 3-4 seconds, though) DURING the lesson IN FRONT of my STUDENTS! It was so cold in the classroom, one of my students gave me his big coat, they started to write the dictation, they were writing quite slowly, and I, all warmed up finally under this coat, made such a huge noticeable nod, falling asleep, they all noticed it. Oh my God, how embarrassing!
hahahaha sorry to laugh but that was funny!!
😂😂😂😂
I think that's normal.
Gosh I can totally image that!!!! Oh I feel really sorry for you haha
I am in teacher training and this sounds like something that could happen to me as well.
I got second hand embarrassment from this 😂
hahahah it's so cringeworthy!!
the correct term is fremdschämen
lucy, Please continue to update Weibo.im from china.
I can't stand it 😂😭😂
OMG this is soo good 😂😂!! I remember when I first worked as a waiter in London, and I was doing a bunch of silly mistakes out of misunderstandings. I have gotta said that I didn't speak more than a few words in English and my listening was really rubbish though 😂. So one day, a lovely old woman came into the restaurant and after ordering her drink, she ask for the "loo". Well, I had absolutely no idea about what that was, but I thought it had to be and ingredient for a pizza. So I keep telling her that unfortunately we had run out of "loo" but we had a bunch of other stuff like veggies, cheese or meat. Well, it continued for 5 minutes untill she could keep it together anymore and end up shouting at me and complaining to my manager because I was taking the piss 😂. I wish this was the only one but I've got just soo many of those lol.
+BerboYT HAHAHAHAHA AMAZING
😂
Oh Gee ! Run out of 'loo'.
Never heard "Eff all" before. Thanks for the great stories. lol
Last summer I worked at the local Art Museum. Most of my excursions were in English and rarely I had excursions in German. I was only a beginner in German and basically I only knew my text by heart and couldn't improvise. So one day I had a lovely German group, they followed me to the hall I knew perfectly. I started talking about a great Russian artist Aivazovsky, but when I raised my hand and turned to the wall where his canvas was supposed to be, there was a random picture. I turned to another wall to show the Germans another his work and there was an unfamiliar canvas again. So the group was waiting for Aivazovsky and I was just standing in front of them without any idea what to say. That was horrible! And Aivazovsky's works went to Moscow for his jubilee exactly that day!
+Виктория oh nooooooo! It's awful when you get caught out like that hahaaa
Such a funny situation it might be too difficult for you at that time
Hi Lucy! I don't know if you know but Welsh rarebit was actually 'Welsh rabbit'! You see, the Welsh had such a reputation for being stingy that if they invited you over for a rabbit dinner they would only serve you cheese on toast! So, etymologically speaking you were 100% correct! The poor Welsh...
+Canguro English wow!!!! So i'm not that stupid after all! Thanks Canguro😂
Quite the opposite! I think it shows how good your instincts are in English! And that was before you became a teacher!
Lucy , you are a top-notch story-teller! Teaching is definitely your niche.
I do agree...
You're the one who need to improve the listening skills hahahah... ur awesome!
+Meu Canal Hahahaha you're so right!
+nowymail
They who wrote them don't know what they're saying either - so don't you worry.
I also mishear ppl at times.
That's the proof that listening english isn't easy even for native speakers.
Yes, I have a hard time listening to Hollywood movies if they speak softly, or spwaling too fast, even though I'm fluent. AND MY DIALECT IS HUGELY BASED ON AMERCIAN ENGLISH (Filipino English)
if English is not easy! you better try German
It happens in every language ;)
@@mbkmbk357 I'M learning German now🥰
I need subtitles 😂for my mother language
"Chef, what's the fish of today?"
"We've got a haddock."
Went back to guests and confidently offered a hammock...
Lol
I worked in a hotel in Wales last summer, however I'm not an English speaker, so you can imagine my mistakes haha
For example I brought a meal from the kitchen to the customer and somehow I forgot the name of it, so instead of saying Brown trout I said Brown turtle :D or the same story but with a lamb burger, instead of lamb I said lung and they were staring at me like if I didn't get mad or what haha
Oh dear !!! Can't imagine a lung burger !!! Hahaha !!!! :)
Eva Šulecová
Oh gosh 😂 I live in wales!! It’s not the prettiest thing though
I burst in laugh 😂
Lol 😆 lung burger?!
HAHAHAHA THAT'S HILARIOUS. I'M NOT ENGLISH SPEAKER THO. I WOULD SAY I WOULD MAKE MORE MISTAKES WHILE FITTING IN WITH LOCAL COMMUNITY
OMG! So embarassing haha! Subtitles are on their way - don't forget to REPRESENT YOUR COUNTRY and contribute subtitle translations in your language: goo.gl/yZEQ95 (It's great translation practice!)
Es que no sé que es un "I deer". ¿Es un sombrero de esos con astas de peluche?

"Ages ago, ages ago" ! I loved it. Thank you Lucy.
Very funny!! I was laughing out from the second story. I think your manager deserves some kind of trophy or medal for all patience he has to handle you with.
Lucy, you are so adorable! I could stay hearing your histories for hours, please keep telling more storytimes.
I'm loving your classes. Don't stop, you are doing a nice job. I'm learning so much with you !

Lol! Lucy, you are gorgeous for being able to laugh at your own mistakes and take them easy. Good luck to you!
Lucy I would like listening to you every moment of every day! You're an excellent and beautiful teacher! Thanks for helping me to improve my english, bye from Italy
SANDY SOUP! It should be really great! ))) I would order this one!
Lucy, great stories, I was laughing my head off, especially cos i know its so easy to make a mistake under pressure. We all could be so intelligent in some aspects and yet so stupid in others. Its like Sheldon from HIMYM sometimes. :o) When I was working in a hospital, one day during the registration procedure I told me collegue that the name of the patient was Anastazia General cos I mix it up with the information about her anestesiology details :)
This is an excellent story. You are so brave you are not ashamed of telling it
I really enjoyed the video! Thanks for helping us amuse so well 😊
I'm a native English speaker and I don't know why I watch your videos haha I just stumbled upon them and let them play in the background (funnily enough) when I'm studying either French or Dutch, and (please believe me I'm not a creep who just stares at you, I'm gay asf but you're beautiful nonetheless ye) and this video had me fucking dying! I cringed so much at the milk story but the image of two old women just looking at a specially prepared glass of milk that young overly charismatic Lucy made was just too absurd and hilarious, the last one sounded something that Leslie Knope would do I swear haha. Love your videos, I envy English learners that they have you! I wish French and Dutch had a you version!
hahahha such a sweet comment thanks Marco! I'm glad you liked it! So cool that you're learning French and Dutch!

Amazing stories, Lucy!!!
Embarassing but hilarious!
In my own experience, I think that be in a wrong class (as a teacher) and teach the wrong subject to a wrong group of studensts was one of the most funny events in my carrer, wich has a lot of funny and embarassing moments by the way! 😶
OMG!!!! How embarrassing hahahha

#loveforenglish
Very funny yet informative at the same time. I learn so many new English words. Keep at it Lucy. Kudos.
I love the way she pronounces words, U R, SO KIUT!
haha, same here, I'm working as a waitress. It was my very first day at work, when the guest asking for a bell. Then I took almost an hour searching for a bell. Fuck that word "bell"!! He was very mad! Then he was shouting," where is my bell!! I said, "I can't find your bell, sir! then he said, I need my bell bell bell! somebody is waiting for me! I want to pay! Then I was enlightened! ooh.... , your biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiL,sir. I will give you right away, sir. Then he looked at me like I was very stupid!gosh..wattan experienced
Julie Lonogan lol....hahaha
"Bell" and "Bill" are of different pronunciation. But In some areas in the world, people confuse them in certain words.
OMG, I laughed my head off.
i can understand almost all things without subtitle on this video. is my level good?
+Hilal Kaleli that's really good!!!!
Funny story's!!! Hope you consider doing more of them sometime. I spent over 6 years in the restaurant business and I definiatly made mistakes, but that's how you learn. Thanks for causing me to remember the insanity of those years. It was fustrating, memorable, and a total blast. We had a great crew & laughed all the time!!! :)
The stories were just hilarious! Thank you, L!

Aliya Zenub I wanted to ask the same request to Lucy....that'd be great if u could do it lucy
Love your stories, they are so funny and makes me laugh. Here it goes my story:
I'm a student of medicine and a month ago I was doing some practical class at the hospital in urologist. I was in the consultation with the doctor and after see the first patient I asked something to show him that I was paying attention and I have interest. So my question was:
-why this patient came here instead of going to the nephrologist? I don't understand why is he here bc he has a stone in the kidney.
His reply was:
-Really?? Are you joking? It would be better if you come back to the first year of medicine or even better to philosophy. After that he told my question to other doctors and all were surprised as well and laugh at me.
I was so embarrassed and I don't understand what I had done wrong. He told me that the stones are never be treated by the nephrologist, and they have some rivalry between them. Since this day until I finished the practices I was known as "the crazy guy who wanted to treat stones in nephrology" 😑😑😑😑😑😑
+Gonzalo García hahaha oh no poor you Gonzalo!!! Good luck with your medical career! What would you like to specialise in?
English with Lucy I'm not sure yet but I enjoy oncologist, inner medicine (not sure if it was properly translate) medicina interna in Spanish but I have to say that I love everything which related with medicine. Nevertheless I still have to study a lot to reach my goals 😅
Gonzalo García i love your story because it was like drama ,you have to be careful in future medicine not accept mistakes.
but my career also it's very difficult like medicine (architect) good luck for us in our careers.
Elhabib sulaiman yeah, I agree with you but remember that we are humans, and humans make mistakes. There are some careers that have more responsabilities than others and this is something that you have to live with. Mistakes are they way to learn, and you would be very surprise if you discovered that doctors make mistakes every day. Is not a bad thing bc of a mistake, you take on knowledge that you will never forget, but of course, the mistakes must be done when you are learning or they must be very very tiny in order to avoid the patients be mad at you 😱😱
hahaaaa me also agree with ......
.the greatest mistake we humans make
in our relationships
we listen half,
understand quarter,
think zero and react dobble.
but learn from your mistake
thanks alot for your reply
You make me laugh a lot of...thank you!
Well i'll tell you my most embarrassing story.
In my school, i was responsable of pronounce the flag vow, i remember be studying for a long time before the live presentation in front of 400 people, but, i don't know why, my brain forgot all the vow when i was in the stage, and i repeated the first sentence at least eight times, till a teacher get up the stage, and said me. "Okay, darling was enough. Don't worry" i started to let giggles, and the teacher though that i was weeping...then he saw that i was laughing and he said "Please get down, you shouldn't make it worse"

I was at the Pub as well and tried to order some waffles-- to no avail!
You were running all over the place, trying to please the 14 people sitting around that huge table.
And you didn't look ditsy at all -- rather cute and a natural!
Obviously, I went back there the following day -- however, no trace of you....
Well, trying to cope with my grief I moved into another town...

Excellent video as always Lucy. Love the new ending as well :)
+WolfTM2008 heheh I'm glad you noticed that! My brother said that I shouldn't just use a freeze frame, so I just improvised and had a boogie hahah
When I started working in a crèche, being a non-native speaker I wasn't familiar with all "technical" vocabulary. We had a daily report we had to present to parents and it included information about their babies bowel movements in: "wet nappy" and "soiled nappy". I didn't get the second one right for quite some time saying it "solid" every time I was talking to the parent. So one day I was talking to a new daddy and I said "...and just one soild nappy today" and he went "...yes, my baby loves a good sh***" 😂😂😂 after that I went and actually investigated the difference between "soiled" and "solid" properly 😁
Hahaha thanks a lot Lucy, this video is really great, I had a blast!
ure the best teacher ever I really enjoyed watching this video ty for sharing this hilarious experience 😍
