The new season of viewer submitted Dead Cells full runs are here! I am playing on custom mode with only the requested weapons enabled. When necessary, we will activate colorless mode if the viewer requires it.
Dead Cells Update 21 has just been released, introducing lots of new shiny things to play with over the holidays along with some broader gameplay changes. There’s a TLDR and an overview below, and if you want to get the full detail head here for the patchnotes. Boom, everyone's attention span covered. TLDR: Colour scaling rework, Malaise rework, New mutations, New mob, weapon, outfits & diet, Backpack rework, Hand of the King lore room
Usual QoL fixes.
Dead Cells Update 20 brings a new biome to Dead Cells, an alternative to High Peak Castle. The Derelict Distillery is accessed through the Collector zone leading to High Peak Castle after either the Giant or Time Keeper.
Also introduces 2 new weapons, the Tesla Coil Turret and the Barrel Launcher weapon.
About the Dead Cells The Bad Seed:
Explore a relaxing Arboretum, wade through a noxious Swamp and take on a new boss in this new early game content designed to expand the Dead Cells universe and add variety to runs for people who want to support the development of the game.
So you’ll be able to play through:
The Arboretum: A relaxing and peaceful greenhouse inhabited by a peaceful clan of mushrooms, with an understandable desire to murder the Beheaded.
The Swamp: A noxious environment ruled by a band of tree dwelling mutans with pointy sticks, sneaky dart shooting frogmen and a bunch of deadly bloodsuckers.
The Heart of the Swamp: Domain of mama tick, if you’ve seen StarShip Troopers, you get the idea...
The two new levels and their monsters are alternatives to The Courtyard/Toxic Sewers and The Ramparts/Ossuary/Ancient Sewers, with the boss designed to be on par with The Concierge, so hopefully it’ll spice up your early game runs once you’ve played through the core game.

If you want to play normal mode with random skins just do custom mode with everything unlocked, it's the same thing.

I have some of my most frustrating deaths from shield bearers much less an invisible one lol. Something about them just makes me get hit sometimes in the dumbest ways

hey i don't know if this is a thing on other systems, but i'm a ps4 player and the other day i was playing serenade and i got a legendary torch and somehow serenade bugged out and ate my torch, it completely disappeared. Was wondering if this happened to anyone else and if its a reported bug or not.

It seems like no matter what weapons I use they don't do damage and it seems like no matter what he uses they shred.
you so good bro.. i can not pass 2 BC ... I'm using brutality with stiletto, ice shards on same button, open wounds, armadillo pack, scheme, phaser and hook as powers and ice shield in the backpack... i can go true all the biome no problem some time with out even using any potions but i loose the the hand of the king every time :(
Yeah 2BC hand of the king is definitely a challenge for a lot of people
Don't use stiletto it is not as good. Try katana and giant sword for boss.
after all this time watching dead cells video and playing the game, i still don't get how the hokuto's bow work
It adds damage to your weapons, that's basically it. If you use DoT (Damage Over Time) build, it will work even better because it adds damage to every tick
@cap_ileka i never ever use them .. even in normal games.. waste of money i feel

edit2: btw challange stuff does not do that good i guess cause there are a bunch of pppl .. including me, just not that good in the game yet and We / I like to see how do you do with this or that item or not. most of us are all Suzies/susies. so challange is kinda .. nice to have -> not needed, at least not as often. (my opinion)
