Great video Beth. I love my 1-up backrest. I added the max mount and back rest to Tim’s yesterday. He loves it too. The Linq bag really finishes off the look of the Ryker. The lack of space for formal wear, makeup and heels is a big letdown.

Great video. Top case was one of my first purchases and I have ended up rarely using it because I usually have 2up seat on. It’s a great bag - despite its relatively small size. Good to hear your experience of “waterproof”. I’ve had mine in torrential rains and no leak. Even had a coffee mug that was outside bag (but inside case-if that makes sense) that leaked and the coffee didn’t go through bag. Nice to know I can’t rely on that Though. Keep these awesome videos coming.

Nice. I would buy the back rest if it wasn't so dang expensive. But I like how the 2 sync together nicely.

The 1up backrest i have had on with the link top bag since i got the bike, it seems to be the only combo you can do with the 1up backrest is the top link case. You can adjust the screw as well for your liking. Feels very secure when riding with it and helps my lower back major!!!!

It is water proof. You roll the inside liner before you fasten the clips. Then theres no way water can get in.

The top case is much more usable if you cut out the inner expander lining. You can always pack anything inside in plastic bags for water proofing if required. I cut mine out and have never regretted it. If there was a way to attach photos I would but.....

Great video, good product, easy to install, but just as easy for someone else to remove it. Has anyone come up for any easy way to lock it in place but still easily removable?
I totally understand what you mean. I just don't put anything valuable in it, and garage park it at night.
Love your video trailer on the Tail of the Dragon. The combo of the backrest and top case looks good. Does the top case offer additional back support since it is higher than the backrest?
Thanks John for your support of the Dragon video, it really means a lot. Got some grief over it, and it has taken away from the entire video. As far as the top case offering more support...not so much, because the backrest prevents your back being flush against the top case (if that makes sense). It does allow me to stretch my back over the top case at stop lights, which is nice. I lay back over it (looks funny but feels great) lol

Great Videos! Question, Will the Ryker LinQ Rack work with the back rest? The Ryker LinQ Rack has quite a few options as far storage. But I don’t want to pull the trigger if I know the back rest won’t work.
No, sorry it will not work. The linq system only works with other linq options (even though the linq base attaches to the max mount). Hope this answers your question.

Sorry I don’t have a way to PM you through YT. I do know of a lot of people who have bought that system and love it. Personally, I prefer a low profile system like saddle bags that are easy to take on and off.
Hi Beth I wish the strap was longer to cinch the top. I always over pack mine and a lot of times I use a bungee cord to hold the top down. Have you run into this and any suggestions? Thank You Harry
Hey Harry! I have stuffed mine, but always just used the existing strap. Someone posted that they removed the liner inside to make more room. Cool idea!

Since the driver 1 up backrest folds down can you still slide the passenger seat on too?
I don’t believe so. But I do know that the new 2023 backrest will work with the passenger seat.

YES! The 1 up backrest gives that perfect lumbar support. Just my opinion, of course.

You will need to make so accommodations (drill holes to fit the givi base plate) in the max mount, but should fit.

Are there saddlebags to go with the LinQ topcase ?
I bought some at a Bike Week last year. There are some good ones on Amazon too. I posted a video on my saddlebags a couple of weeks ago.
But is it worth the exorbitant price to have it on your bike?
For me, the backrest is worth every penny!

Hmmm what little screw are you referring to? The top case is tool-less. All it has is a lever that goes into the max mount.
I found a small screw in a plastic bag on the inside bottom of my top case I believe it fits in the top center of the locking turn handle
@@servantsoldier5207 ok that must be what hold the lever down. It is pouring here now, so I can't run over to the garage to check. There is a little screw that adjusts the pitch of the backrest (but I find it doesn't do much for me)
@@servantsoldier5207 I got the small screw that came with top case. You’re right, it fits in the top center of the turn handle, but it does not lock the turn handle. I don’t know the purpose of this little screw. It will be nice if there is away to secure the top case and make it a little harder to remove.

For the storage? I needed it, and it looks complete on the bike. Not too bulky. I wish it held more.

I rewatched the video and can't seem to find what you are referring to. Maybe you are seeing the inside buckle?
The small screw came in a small zip bag inside the case. If you pause the video at 5:13 and look inside the bag on the top left corner, you will see it. I got the same screw in my LinQ Top case.
