It's because Conor got caught up in the money and the reputation he built, he thought he was invincible at that point and that was the start of his downfall, while on the other hand, Dustin was still hungry to rise to the top, all the losses in the past kept him humble, so he rose step by step, and learned from his mistakes.

@@googlegmail9888 How does it matter that Dustin was bigger than him, when he's always been bigger than Conor, and Conor's knocked him out before? Poirier developed as a fighter, McGregor didn't. Even if Poirier never won the belt, which is largely due to the skillset of the current champs, McGregor won't hold another title again either since he can't beat them too.
Granted, McGregor is more accomplished since he's held two titles, I'll give you that. He's just not the better fighter, the game's passed him and his inactivity fucked him up
