Yellowstone Exposures: Great Grey owl mating pair food exchange. Take a look at the video you’ll notice a female get excited and start to vocalize as she realizes the male is bringing food back to their nesting site.  her right foot is covered in blood, at this stage in their nesting behaviors, the owlets are so small that she’ll break off a small pieces of prey and feed directly to their young.
