In this video I use the newly discovered 3d printing technique to create a mosaic houndstooth and Alabama A Damascus pattern on a 10 brisket slicing knife.
I'm from N.Bama and love the work !! I've always wanted a Damascus and now I've got to get one of yours 100% Location or will it pull up with your web page . Roll Tide Roll ready for another season!!!!
White spray paint, and I used 1084 and 1084+4%ni but 1095 would work just as well if you can find it with added Ni. I wouldn't combine 1095 with 1084 for heat treating purposes
I have this Bama knife priced at $1600, it would be somewhere similar to that. Go to my website and shoot me an email if you would like to proceed with a build!
Very clever techniques to get your bolster exactly right. I'm impressed!
amazing work, the potential is unlimited.
That blade looks awesome
Nicely done
Is this real, holy crap,I had no idea that was even possible or a thought of someone, great job, amazing product 👏
Also subscribed by the way looking forward to seeing more forge works
That totally ROCKS!!!!! Got to get back up there and see that!!!
If you could have printed the hounds tooth longer, you wouldn't have the scarf welds to screw everything up. Awesome knife.
That is awesome but I’m confused… wouldn’t the plastic melt and contaminate your steel??
It's not plastic, it's organic based filament. It's basically corn starch and it burns up to nothing but carbon that gets absorbed into the steel

What are your prints made of? Cool piece by the way.
I'm using PLA filament, it's organic and burns up to carbon
