- Our design goal for Sealegs was to create the warmest, most musical and organic delay module possible - something that would sweeten and enhance any audio one chose to feed into it. As such, great care has gone into modeling the most distinctive and desirable sonic characteristics of three different types of delay circuits: Tape, Bucket Brigade, and Crossfading Digital.
A plethora of onboard controls enable you to dial in exactly the sound you want; synced or un-synced delays times (for both left and right channels); saturating input drive; a built-in modulator with 7 morphing waveshapes, Wow & Flutter emulation, and an envelope follower; plus dedicated low- and high-pass filters; built-in hiss & crackle noises; per-model color controls; a spacious reverb; and a re-configurable signal flow through the unit. In addition, attenuverted modulation inputs abound - ensuring the delay ebbs and flows with your musical needs.
Features:
- Three Unique delay models - Tape, Bucket Brigade, and Crossfading Digital
- Per-model Color, Modulation behavior, and Saturation/Limiting
- True Stereo delay with separate L/R buffers
- Three Stereo configurations (PONG, Time/Width, L/R)
- Three Range variations for short Chorus/Flanger style delays to Long ambient repeats.
- Up to 6(L) and 8(R) seconds of delay time (Width can add up to 33% to Time)
- Built-in modulator with Wow & Flutter, Envelope Follower, and 7 morphing wave shapes
- Lush 1970s-inspired reverb with 3 insert positions.
- Saturating input drive with level trim
- Stable external clock (or tap tempo) sync for Delay Times or Modulation
- Highpass and Lowpass filters for filtered repeats
- Freeze functionality for holding the buffer and looping
- Nine CV inputs with attenuverters
- 96 kHz 24-bit Stereo I/O and 32-bit floating point internal processing

10 points to gryffindor for a delay with sliders! All hail sliders
I want White Castle to make a slider burger module
Not just sliders but sliders with soft caps!
Make seal eggs great again!
GRYFFINDOR!
um wow so you want to kill trans people?...
Really impressive to see how Intellijel is kicking their designs into high gear lately. My GAS for Buchla gear is kept at bay entirely by them and Frap.
Buchla is over rated. Intellijel is where it’s at 😊
you guys are really masters of UX
Caught off guard on this one. What a surprise 😊
It sounds really nice! Lots of functionality and that noise/hiss circuit is very pleasant
NGL, looks extremely tasty. Edit: Having got one, turns out it is extremely tasty. Lovely wonkiness, tons of flavor.
Love the layout, makes it very playable!
Epic stereo delay! Live the modes, reverb, noise types and sliders! Cannot wait to try it!
Your guys new modules are killer. I recently got a Tete-Tetrapad and it’s a game changer.
You guys are kicking a$$ in the eurorack world right now. I wonder if another cylonix module is coming. Shapeshifters my fav module.
impressive delay!
Just got mine. Love it. 👌
i dont think i would have thought to switch modes while freeze is active. really cool way to explore different textures!
This is one of the most fun features to explore on Sealegs IMHO. There is a whole universe to explore there!
oh no, another delay I want to have! Well done
sounds good!
Finally got a rainmaker and not even mad that I want this too
Yeah! Me too.
They are very different and likely go well together, all that noise and crackle stuff on sealegs is great before or after rainmaker
I love this cuz it’s kinda like if the strega was more hi fi and streamlined for eurorack (no shade on the strega it’s its own beast)
🙀 great looking module with a killer sound. Nicely designed to be not too big but still has something for everybody in terms of sounds! 👍
Wickkkkked 😍
rad rad rad!
Love this. What's the sound source on the Dubbed Out Chords patch?
Serious Raymond Scott vibes 🧑🏻🔬
would u guys ever consider making a range of intellijel plugins? softube is fine but intellijel vsts would be next level. rainmaker & plonk as plugins would sell like crazy
Plonk is from aas and was first a vst (chromaphone) then a module 😅 before requesting make a 5 sec google search 😂
@@phelper4554 cool yeah, Groogle.
But rainmaker? that was the main question. The mighty groogle has nothing on that one
hello, when sealegs is gonna be avaiable again? i have an order pending from schneiderladen, but they dont know when you will have more uniti avaiable...
nice
Wish the freeze section showed how it behaves in different delay modes, especially the digital mode... anyone know of a video that shows this? Can one scan through the buffer? or does it do glitchy stuff?
inog ijog seal eggs 😮
Smart layout…
Does flipping the phase in the modulation section mean that they cancel each other out when in mono?
so it is a Chase Bliss generation loss with a delay and noise and on dope? Oh I need it
What module was used for the slow wave chords? Qubit chord v2?
Is there a way to apply W+F and general degraded tape noise to just the reverb, something akin to the Chase Bliss Dark World?
Yes- if you place the reverb in front of the delay ( FOG pos switch), you can process the output with the modulated delay
@@joshrohs589 so we can have reverb only, no delay signal, and have that reverb modulated/degraded?
@@tomwatson7626 kind of - you can't modulate pitch without any delay( a chorus *is* a modulated delay line), but you could set it to a short delay time(a few ms) with no feedback.
@@joshIntellijel yeah I'd thought about doing that, pinging a short heavily modulated delay through the reverb, would generate some interesting results no doubt. Thanks for the help
Why you gotta put this out 10 seconds after I bought a mimeophon?
That’s so life, and so modular
Just be glad it's only modules. Think of rich folks with car collecting or watch collecting habits.
Mimeophon is still epic
Return it!
:O
I think you forgot a g... by the way, seals don't lay eggs (j/k)
I think it should have one more "g" next to the already existing "g" in its name, otherwise it appears to be perfect regarding functionality and features, ease of use, hp, and price.
🦭 🪺?
@@Space_pulse Yes! It sounds like something, right? At least it could be a chinese mistranslation?
@@jonaseggen2230 yes. I think Seal Ova would make more sense, since mammals don’t lay eggs.
definition: Sea legs/Sealegs: a person's ability to keep their balance and not feel seasick when on board a moving ship.
"now I've found my sea legs I'll be much more useful"
@@danjelvantijnintellijel756Aha! Thanks
I had a dream where robots wearing Intelijel armour and running on Intelijel computer chips were making moves in the underground cinematography scene. they especially liked mysterious and abstract themes with and stuff about ducks and chickens?? i thought theyre movies were kind of creepy and hard to understand. Oh and all the movies were very limted time only and brought out on cassette. 10/10 would dream again
